Wow, great to see Jasper's Mix trendy again. Another popular TH-camr just posted a similar video two weeks ago 😉 ... The credit for Jasper's recipe becoming public should go to the late great rum collector, Stephen Remsberg. He used to tell the story of drinking at Jasper's bar in the '70s and Jasper writing it down for him. Stephen later shared it with both Beachbum Berry and Ted Haigh, who was actually the first to publish it (along with the punch recipes) in Vintage Spirits and Forgotten cocktails back in 2009. Stephen first shared it publicly at Tales of the Cocktail in 2008, which is timely. That was roughly 16 years ago this week. I think I'll go toast both Stephen and Jasper with potent punch.
Anders posted his video after me so he obviously copied 🤪🤣 On a serious note, thanks for the insight on the origin of finding the recipe. I hope you enjoyed that potent punch! I am beyond grateful to all involved for making this known to the public. It truly is a remarkable mixer.
I'm definitely going to make the stock mix. I love the diversification of the content. I look at all those bottles on the back bar and can't wait for the next video. You've got so much to teach.
the new Worthy Park Overproof is good and it's a better sipper than mixer and almost too good to mix but the price makes it cheap enough. super clean no acetone notes
I feel like I could have made this video XD My ADHD has me constantly looking for tools I forgot to grab. "Shit, I forgot to grab mint", "Crap, where's my strainer. No not that one, the other strainer", "Where the heck is my squeezer?!".
@@therumchampion that's because of the lime juice, right? Could you do acid adjusted water with citric and malic acid to replace the lime so it lasts longer?
The third one sounds most interesting to me. Giffard is amazing. I have their banane, abricot and pineapple liquours and they are all amazing.
The apricot plays perfectly with everything! Apricot is also criminally underutilized in cocktails

There’s a lot for all of us to learn together!
The stirring face 😂😂😂
Anything worth doing is worth doing right :)
I always have some jaspers stock in the fridge in the summer! Jaspers rum punch is a great, quick cocktail!
Right?! So easy to make and provides such versatility!
Thanks for the fun video! I need to give this a try!
Let me know when you do and what drinks you make!
Hamilton 151 is the best 151 and the False Idol 151 version is great also.
Dont sleep on Diamond 151. Pussers 151 is the best 151 Demerara IMO. Sucks it’s not available here in the US.
Outstanding. I will try to quarter the recipe to try it out!
Do it! Let me know what you think!

So happy it finally got to LA!

From one person with ADHD to another, I get it 🤣🤣🤣
What are other tiki mixes that can be premade? I'm looking for party drink ideas.
Are the batches going to be made a few days before? The day of?
How long does the stock mix typically last in the fridge?
7 days, give or take 👍🏻
