    Here in Brazil we have a classic cocktail called "Bombeirinho" (Little Fireman). Which is Cachaça, lime and grenadine. It doesn't seem like they originated from the same place, but I thought it was interesting the name and ingredients being quite similar.

    I would choose fireman’s and pinacolada ....it’s so nice that you’re giving a commentary of what you are saying as subtitles below all your video..it’s excellent for people from different parts of the world who can’t follow your pronunciation ....I will also suggest that you have a written recipe as a display at the side of your running video ,.....it’s easy for people to make a note of the quantities of ingredients that you are talking...

    The Fireman's is basically a daiquiri. Rum, Lime, and a sweetener. I didn't know it had a name but just experimenting I made one by chance about a week ago...sans oeuf... no egg. A Pomegranate Daiquiri. It's quite good. I use Plantation 3 Star.
    I made a variation of Rum, Lime and Apricot liqueur recently which has been a hit. Rum, Lime and Cream of Coconut is quite good too. "You put de lime in de coconut..." It's fun and easy to experiment.

    Well now, I beg to differ BUT Bacardi IS a Cuban rum based in Puerto Rico, the company moved to Bermuda as their new headquarters then expanded to NY and Puerto Rico for distillery (yes I know a bit of history lesson of this legendary rum company) Havana Club however is a case of stolen identity from a Cuban family named Arechabala who owned Havana Club rum which was confiscated by the Cuban Government after the revolution and stole the name, Bacaradi has since tried to reestablish the Archabala's company name and bought their original recipe, still trying to take back the stolen name. (yes I know to much information, hope it's interesting) Thanks for the wonderful recipes love this channel.

  • @yojon75

    You need to do a caipirinha.
    Brazilian"version" of the mojito but a bit better imo
    You muddle lime wedges and sugar together at the bottom of a glass to make a quick "limeade" add cachaça then add crushed ice to the top. Garnish with a lime wheel.

    • @yojon75
      @yojon75 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Forgot to mention, Cachaça is technically not a rum. It is made with fresh sugarcane juice instead of molasses but it produces a more clean finish that is a bit sweeter but also a bit grassy and fresh tasting. (Could do a video on the liquor itself??) The caipirinha should taste almost like straight limeade but it usually has a high alcohol content and is used by locals to get foreigners messed up. (I know that from experience)

      @@StevetheBartender_ Might be better, but I find that at some of the sweetened ones have a really strong artificial flavoring taste to them. Maybe I just need to find a better brand. Either way I think the Malibu gives it a good flavor.
