thank you for the comparisons between the two !! Glad to hear the O3M is a great upgrade to the O2M. I'll definitely get it once my '18 O2M ever gives out lol...
Thanks for the video! One suggestion from my side: the space bar sound comparison between the 2 is somewhat irrelevant, as One 2 has the custom ABS key cap installed, while the One 3 has the original PBT key cap. Otherwise great information and One 3 looks appealing, especially if available in black / white.
@@SARKAZYMYT of course its really important, Mircea isnt saying its not, but what they said is that in the video the test was made, in the case of the One 2, with an ABS keycap while the One 3 had a PBT keycap, so the test would not be made in the same conditions for both keyboards.
I got the One 3 mini classic black (the new models) with Cherry MX speed silver switches, I really like it because it gives the original Ducky vibe but it is new and fresh keyboard with lots of functions and possibilities.
Underrated video. Keep it up! This video helped me alot because im looking for a good gaming keyboard. Please update us when the black/white designs are in stock.
Man, one 2 is beautiful, I don’t like the one 3 colors, both daybreak or yellow look bad compared to one 2 So sad that we have to wait 6 months or one year for black and white one 3 Idk why they did this color scheme at first
yeah, the colors on the mini 3 just dont look like they go together, 2 dark colors and then a light color doesnt make much sense to me, but no i feel angry because i bought my ducky one 2 mini for 130 US dollars, when i could have waited 2 WEEKS to buy a ducky one 3 mini :(
Don't know why didn't show in the video, but there's an one 3 named Fuji, colored in dark blue and pink. I think it's cute and looks better than Daybreak.
I really wanted the O3m but I can't find myself to checkout with either the blue or yellow keyboard. So instead I got the O2m white keyboard with Silent Pink switches. Used your creator code since you gave so much info in this video! Thanks! When the O3m comes out with more options def getting it later.
The one 2 space bar is super hollow if you flip them over the one 3 mini space bar is reinforced on the inside and same with the stock space bar that comes with the one 2
The One 2 has a similar bar as well if you use it. The One 2 spacebar with the design is thinner and made of ABS not PBT like the rest of the keycaps. The One 2 ships with a thicker PBT spacebar without the design that is much closer to the PBT spacebar on the One 3 mini if you choose to use it. Sounds a bit better than the Thinner one.
I have a one 2 mini and a one 3 mini, the 2 biggest differences for use is acoustic. the 2 just sounds hollow and clacky, the two sounds like the clicks from the switches without the clack from the case. and 2) the weight. Both my boards are cherry mx reds so same switch but the 3 feels like it requires more force to push down; not to any determent, I prefer it but the 2 is definitely a lighter typing feel
@@MURPHFRAGS ahhh veeery nice! I have the series 2 sf now for like 3 years but it is slippery as hell after these years... had the Huntsman v2 tkl and THESE keycaps where REALY good! But had to return it cause of the software needed & the font positioning... cruel... but realy nice switches and keycapstexture!
It's roughly the same. It probably looks like that because of the color difference. The white is reflecting the light a lot better. In person I can tell you there is not much (if any) of a difference in LED brightness.
I was having to do that because I was straddling a big tripod and having to reach around it to type on each board…couldn’t reach to type properly lol. Sorry, and #keeppounding fellow Panther fan.
A little sad I just order my one 2 mini, but I think I’m the long run I made the best decision. I desperately needed a mechanical keyboard and I have a white color scheme, and from what I’ve seen the white and black colors won’t come out for at least a couple of months.
Don’t have those on me but if I can find some in stock in the morning I’ll order some. Got 2 sound tests going up in the next 3 days then when the aqua kings come in I’ll post up a link to it.
@@MURPHFRAGS Hahaha, I was wondering what it could've possibly been, was so damn accurate to a phone buzz, I even considered a "ghost buzz" before I replayed the video. And mad props for still being active with the comments on posts this old! ++Amazing review, purchased a one3 right after. ;)
Same here, had to remap the arrow keys. I prefer the IJKL, and CapsLock as Fn config since I don't need to move my hand around at all. Other than that little remapping work which I had to look up the manual, it's such an amazing keyboard over the 2 mini
It acts as a normal board but doesn't have dedicated arrow and F1-F12 keys. You can play almost any game easily on it, but it really shines for shooters or any game that doesn't need a ton of key binds. It's a little harder for like RPGs and such, but can still work fine. Nothing should be needed to be changed in game settings unless the game requires you to hit like F4 or something and you want to rebind that to a different key. You can still use the arrow and function row keys, but you have to hold "Fn" then hit the corresponding buttons. If you usually only game with the top row number and number keys (which most people do I suppose) you will be fine. If you use function row keys or REALLY need the dedicated arrow keys, look at maybe a 65% or TKL.
Was supposed to release early to mid January…but they have already starter shipping units. If you select your switch type on the website it should tell you if it’s in stock, and if not, will show you an estimated restock date.
had to get new ducky 3 mini because my ducky one 2 mini spilled coffee on it GG RIP ORGINIAL DUCKY ONE 2 MINI LASTED LONG TIME
Literally just spilt water on mine tried to recover it it’s broke 😢. Had it for 4 years and now idk if I wanna buy another one for 170$
Did the same thing with my soup time for a little upgrade ig

i think spacebar sound is mist important tbh imo

O3m has white board now
thanks for the vid! I never knew the custom spacebars were coming to the one 3 mini. Its great to know stuff like that.
i bought an aluminum case for my one 3 min, and gateron yellows. should i change the plate or do you think its good?
Honestly the keyboard is the best 60% mechanical keyboard you can find (in my opinion).BUT you can modify it as much as you want.
Where'd you get that awesome Esc key on the One 3 Mini?
It is included with the One 3 Mini. It is part of the extra included keycaps.
@@MURPHFRAGS Thank you!
Are the screw holes on the same place as the one 2 mini ? Could I switch the case from a one 2 mini with the one 3 mini ?

so would you say if i wanted to keep some money i should buyn the 2 because its less expensive? (the sound doesnt matter to me)
Yes@@lagitvz9774
Are those one 3 keycaps more textured than the one 2? Cause they are realy slippery like ABS caps... dont know why
Yes. They have just a very subtle “grit” to them. Not super textured, but just a bit more so than the smooth One 2 Series.

I just purchased the ducky one 3 mini with with cherry mx blue switches so it’s very loud and clicky
how do you active the square brackets on this keyboard???
So not much of a difference really? Should you opt for the older model at half the price if you don't have particular needs in the new model?
The One 3 is better, but if you can get the One 2 at half price that would be worth it for sure.

A year ago when they came out there was actually a price difference now the 3 is only like 10 dollars more.
mmm my one2 pro mini sounds alot diffrent from the one u got maybe because mine came witht eh kalih box browns that are lubed aswell
will holy panda switches work in the one 3 since that it has the 3 pin hot swap
Sure will. It’s a 5-pin hotswap PCB and will support 3 and 5 pin switches, Holy Pandas included.

Is there any difference in RGB brightness?
If anything, the One 3 might be just a bit brighter. But it’s pretty even, if they weren’t side by side I’d never notice.

are the keycaps same or different size?
Same size/layout
is it possible to use the ducky one 2 keycaps on the ducky one 3? Want to buy the ONe 3 but need the shine-through-caps
