If they really wanted to reach out, they would. Either via email or text (if blocked on socials, they have your number/whatsapp, or vice versa). If they don't, they really never cared. Blocking is usually more about you than them... you do it so YOU can break free and not see anything about their whereabouts because it's painful if you're not over them.
Guilty as charged! I don't block people to play games, though - I do it so that I don't have to see their name pop up and agonise about it. I always end up regretting it too :(

Exactly the same thing happened with me. I was in a 4 month relationship, and I told him several times that Plz call me at least once a day . He always promised me that give me time and I will change. Last night I called him and he said he will call me back but he never did. I called him again and he said that he is busy. My blocking trick: I remove their contact photo, change their first & last name to ZZ, remove any identifying information from the contact, and block it. Blocked people sit at the bottom of my contacts, I can't tell who is who, and I can't backtrack in a moment of weakness. We are done.

Otherwise i feel there's always a connection, a subconscious expection that he might see my posts/like them/reach out to me.. its totally stupid but i cant help it. This blocking shit is mental. Girl blocks me I think they don’t want me. She unblocks over a week later, I don’t react. She messages “what’s up?”. I’m busy at the time and hurt by being blocked in the first place so I let it sit. 24 hrs later she ends it. When I go to respond I’m blocked again. She messages “what’s up?”. I’m busy at the time and hurt by being blocked in the first place so I let it sit. 24 hrs later she ends it. When I go to respond I’m blocked again. That pisses me off as she’s not willing to hear me say my parting piece. It’s just mental miscommunication.

Yeah consistency is key...he disappears fir weeks at a time ...I've allowed it fir too long and sucked it in. I finally decided to block him after telling him due to his inconsistencies and unwilling to prioritize me....he then emailed me 2 weeks later and apologized w a "sorry for everything".....well a simple sorry doesn't cut it so he's still blocked. He cheated on me a couple times I took him back only to find out he was continuing to cheat, but getting away with it being sneakier we were still being intimate and I still was seeing him of course because I’m very comfortable with him and I love him, but he keeps taking me for granted and he started to me repeatedly and always made an excuse as if it was his phone or he was busy working And actuality, I caught him with a woman at his shop where he supposedly was working. He begged me not to leave him. I came back only for him to continue to ghost me. It hurt me, but I have to block him and hopefully follow through with it this time

Well a guy stopped contacting me recently, about 2 weeks after telling me I was his gf. I gave him 24 hours to reply to the text communicating my concern about not hearing from him much considering he said I was his girlfriend. I had seen him a few days ago and he never replied. So I blocked him and got myself back on dating sites. Has anyone experienced this with someone who actually said they were your in a relationship? I never heard of it before.
Unfortunately if you’re what the average man would consider to be a ‘nice’ girl/woman, they will use the gf title for easy sex. After a few rounds they’re on to the next easy one....but keep in mind that the woman with standards will always be the priority.

He is telling you that a relationship is not a guarantee that someone is committed and genuine. Next time, after the guy asks you to be his GF, take time to meet his friends, coworkers, family and make sure he invests sufficient social capital and resources in your relationship (aka, it will cause some issues if he randomly disappears). That way, you have time to understand if the guy is honest and how much he is willing to publicize your relationship.

One of the deciding factors is if you think the person would get along with your friends and family. But the relationship isn't about their friends or family, it's about the couple. And coworkers? Who meets coworkers before you get into a relationship? lol Btw I could have been married twice before so I know how to form a relationship with a man. He tried to weasel his way back in this month after he disappeared too and the women who are "too nice" would have been thrilled, ready to jump back in. I didn't. I think the problem is that the critical women don't wait to have sex until after entering a relationship so my standard (which used to be very common) makes them feel uncomfortable. My takeway from the situation is that it happened too fast and that guys have gotten more dishonest about their intentions. If I had waited longer I would have seen signs. End of story.
