    Damn I really want one. I'd love to get my hands on a white GT fully loaded with the 15 alloys. I'd inflate the tires to about 50 psi, and I'd be hitting that magical 50 mpg mark in no time. Now that's the kind of performance that turns me on. MPG performance. 3 cylinders of pure efficiency on a level that most of these so called hybrids cant even dream of. I'd put some 0-20 amsoil full syn in it and just cruise at no more than 60 mph in the slow lane all day. They did such an awesome job of upgrading these from when they first came out in 2014. They were TOO bare bones. Now they have all the features you could ask for and more. This car has a permanent spot on my bucket list.

      2014 has better front end design IMO. More toy like, less chrome. I own one, looks like a hot wheel.

      @TeeMoeGoodie hey bro you should get one. I own one and it has 22k miles on it now. No issues at all, great gas mileage, and has plenty of pickup power to keep up with traffic, 10 year warranty. I am thinking of getting bigger rims though. Using Amsoil is a good idea too. I use mobil 1 advanced fuel economy and changed the stock air filter to a K&N air filter.

      If you do, check the wheel alignment before accepting the car. It is wrong half of the time and if it is wrong in the rear, you need a new axle and hope it is better. For the rest, it does what it promises to do. I have 40.000 miles on it (with CVT) and I had not one single issue with is and get 54 mpg on average. By the way, I think the car is ugly, but that is not important to me.

    • @electron7659
      @electron7659 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ronald de Rooij You mean the alignment could be off even if they're bran new?? Why is that though??

      Am thinking they may be mirages with the slight manufacturing defect as often undersold to make something out of them which is in my opinion.

      @@ShowcaseMitsubishi Hi, owner of two Mirages 2014 DE CVT and 2017 G4 CVT here. Can you comment on why the Mitsubishi Mirages exhibit far less premature CVT failures than Nissan? Considering they both use the Jatco CVT7 is it programming?

    • @ShowcaseMitsubishi
      @ShowcaseMitsubishi  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      magnuscat Unfortunately I don't know the answer to that question. That would be a question someone at Mitsubishi Motors may be able to answer better. We have had other customers comment about bad experiences with Nissan CVT as well.

    Pulse system is a SCAM. It is not installed at the factory by Mitsubishi, why would you want a dealer to mess with the electrical system on your new car? If you really want it it doesn't cost much to get the relay/module and install it yourself.

    • @ShowcaseMitsubishi
      @ShowcaseMitsubishi  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Pulse is inserted by our Award winning certified service team and It does no interfere with the electrical system of the vehicle. It is not a scam. A National Highway Traffic Safety Administration study demonstrated that 90% of rear-end collisions could be avoided if the trailing vehicle had one extra second of warning. Pulse safer breaking technology can provide that warning. It's a third brake light made in America and Award winning.

    • @Marklin15
      @Marklin15 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ShowcaseMitsubishi I wasn't disputing the technology, just stating there are multiple manufacturers of pulsating brake light kits and I'm tired of American dealers pushing aftermarket stuff on new vehicles. Most of your techs are probably great techs, but dealer installs are not the same as ones designed and tested countless hours by Mitsubishi engineers. Most consumers want to buy a Mitsubishi, not a Mitsubishi with Showcase mods. Your free to offer it if a customer wants it, just don't install it on every vehicle in your inventory. Same as with pin stripes.

    Pulsing brake lights are REALLY anoyying in traffic.

    • @Millermacs
      @Millermacs 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Yo-yo
      SO TRUE, its so dumb because if every manufacturer did it, everyone would get used to seeing it pulse even if the car is braking lightly, therefore defeating the purpose of it.

    I am not sure about this one. You can buy a new Nissan Versa for the same price. I have to drive 39 miles to work so the 100,000 mile powertrain warranty on the Mitsubishi is a big deal to me. Also, I test drove a new Mirage. It is not a car you would want to drive across the country in but it is fine for daily commuting in my opinion. What makes me hesitate to buy it is when it comes time to trade it in it will probably have very poor trade in value in my opinion. If you buy it , just drive it as long as you can and get paid for before trading it in .

    • @exionem
      @exionem 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Same dilemma as you ... both are the cheapest cars right now and yes, the Nissan is bigger but it looks so bland... so meh... Something about this spunky hatchback that makes it more appealing.

    • @palebeachbum
      @palebeachbum 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I bought a new Versa and traded it after 2yrs on a new Mirage that I had for 4yrs. The Versa had a lot of quality and reliability problems, plus a short warranty. The Mirage was a more entertaining car to own and MUCH better overall quality. Depreciation on the Versa is poor as well. When I traded mine, it lost about 50% of its value after 2yrs.

    • @CityLifeinAmerica
      @CityLifeinAmerica 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      slingshot It has keyless go in a cheap car! This is better than the Versa by miles

      Just a 1400 mile round trip drive, all highway, lil car did just fine. Cost me half what I used to pay making the same trip. Wind shear can jostle you around a bit, but to me thats the only negative.
