    A thousand U.S. dollars for a rental place anywhere in the Philippines is, nothing to brag about, way too much money! That's more like a house payment here in America. They must've built that subdivision mostly for foreigners so that they can charge them those outrageous prices to naive foreigners. Everything is expensive in Cebu because there are a lot of foreigners living there so they purposely jack up the prices on everything. Sorry but that's my opinion based on my trip there and my observations. I really like the house and lot. My wife and I searched in Cebu for more than a year PRE-PANDEMIC. The house size vs the asking price anywhere near Cebu City was just way beyond it's actual value to us. We ended up moving to Negros; which is a bit cheaper and better value in my opinion, and of course the further south you're willing to relocate the cheaper everything gets. Cebu does have everything you need though; as long as you can deal with the congestion and traffic.

    • @tradepro
      @tradepro 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Yes for sure! Luckily being pretty far south Cebu the traffic and chaos isn't an issue but that does also mean malls and hospitals are a couple hours drive away which is a fine trade off for us! Ultimately I wanted to be right by a clean beach with good waves for skim boarding and that's what lead us to Argao, Cebu.

    Eric and Aeriel: That was a interesting tour to see, very remote and secluded area. Both of you being young and in great health that is more than appropriate and adequate for you to live far out. Now for me at age 59 and planning to retire in the Philippines in the year 2025. Under the Philippine American SRRV Military Retirement Visa Program. Special program that the host nation, the Philippines offer for American military Veterans. I lived in the Philippines at Clark Air Base (Angeles area) back in the day in 1991. I do not think both of you were born yet. I estimate renting a condo will be about $500 American dollars per month. You guys with all those rooms, may need to fill them up with family members. I need to be centralize in Cebu City near hospitals and international airport. Who know, I may be personally honored to see both of you one day in Cebu. From US American Air Force Security Police Military Veteran and former resident of Clark Air Base, Philippines. I liked and subscribed to your channel, thank you for this video. I mentioned in my previous posting I have lived in the Philippines kore than half of my adult life, spanning 42 years since Year 1980. I do not visit the Philippines. My Filipina wife and I have two homes. Our house in Eastern Samar and condo in Ermita Manila. Please do not make assumptions regarding my experiences. I have lived in the Philippines long before you were born and have been hospitalized in the Philippines numerous times over the past twenty years. I have actual experiences. I was hospitalized (Dec 27, 2013 to February 10 2014) at Manila Doctors for 7 full weeks (49 days) with a rare auto immune disorder - Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS), I was paralyze from the chest down, unable to care for self and wore adult diapers for six full weeks until I was able to get out of bed on my own to use the CR. I was in ICU for more than a week, unable to breath without a ventilator and close monitoring. I was very close to meeting my maker. The very professional and skilled doctors at Manila Doctors Hospital saved my life. While I was in the hospital, a close friend/neighbor suffered a heart attack and had quadruple bypass at the same hospital. His hospital room was right next to mine for three days. I am retired US military and also a disabled veteran. When I was active duty I suffered catastrophic life threatening injuries and massive head trauma, resulting in a traumatic brain injury. Because of my disabilities, and long time residency here in the Philippines I have more experience than most people I have met. Your comments regarding Filipino doctors being lazy and not staying abreast of recent research and development is unfair. Maybe these are your experiences, but I know many western expats who have received excellent critical healthcare from the various hospitals in Metro Manila including myself. There are good and bad hospitals everywhere in the world and not limited to the Philippines. While I was in the USA I suffer plantar fasciitis (PF) and was treated for more than a year at a local hospital in Oregon. Ortho doctors were unable to fix my PF. When my wife and I made our annual snowbird trip to the Philippines and we stayed in our Manila condo. I was treated at Makati Med by skilled othopedic doctor. Two months later my PF went away without surgery. Filipino doctors treated my PF, where stateside doctors failed.

    That’s the nicest place I’ve seen yet in the Philippines… by far!

    Great deal, it’s only money. I live in San Diego, California and a 500 square foot apartment is $2,500 a month. Thanks for sharing

    Nice place for a 1k$ a month. Yes your right for us Filipina that’s a lot. As long as your comfortable and you have everything that’s great. Enjoy your days. Cebuana here living thousand miles away from home. Hope to be home soon. Amping

      I would say it's far too expensive for the 🇵🇭 Philippines. Almost western prices. Isnt the average salary for Filipino 20,000 peso per month?

      @@voicevoice2053 1k$ is a western price. We can’t afford to pay it on our own, I used to work in a BPO company 8 years ago when k was in CEBU and I was only earning 600$ a month. For me it wasn’t enough but most of my friends told me that I get paid more than they get.

      Yeah that is what you pay for. The subdivisions in the Philippines are usually crammed in like sardines with ear splitting noise pollution.
