The way Gus sliced Victor's neck made Mike pull his gun.
Giancarlo says this was his favorite scene to do in the show.

The scary thing about Gus from the box cutter scene is that even in that moment when he is extremely angry he’s still in control and being very calculating
I dont Gus' mind works like that of a regular man. And not just because of his experiences in the underworld. Even as a boy he was different. The coati story he told to the comatose Hector is very characteristic of that difference. In another life our favourite drug lord would have made a fine Mossad director.
This show gets darker and darker for me. Season 1 and 2 were comedy compared to 4 and 5.
It literally was a black comedy that.. spirals as the show progresses.

If Aaron Pauls acting isn't already amazing this is the starting point for greatness.
In the box cutter scene, Milena's reaction is same as Walt, Lola's reaction is the same as Jesse.
Well this goes to show yet another reason why Gustavo Fring is one of the greatest villains of time. 3 guesses why.
Hmm... I don't think Walter feels invincible - he knows if they don't come up with a very good plan quickly, Gus will have them killed first chance he gets - and Gus will see to it that this chance arises. I think Walter is just... committed, resolved to doing "what he has to do". But he certainly *is* overestimating his understanding and control.
At the end of the episode, to me Jesse seems to be at that stage during on-going intense psychological trauma and stress where people become fatalistic and *try* to affect a nihilistic attitude as a defense-mechanism. Because if you can laugh at the absurdity and futility of it all... surely it won't hurt (as much). ... Well, at any rate you're not constantly screaming and crying or catatonic. The trauma of course doesn't get resolved - it just festers.

@@mirceag.7706 lol i recently finished watching bb and el camino with my mom, we just watched it slowly, somedays we watched multiple episodes per day but the majority of days we watched just one, i didn't mind taking it slow because i already knew the majority of big things that happens, but it was an amazing ride and now we are watching bcs

the box cutter scene is one of the most intense scenes in the show, the tension of Gus simply being in the room saying nothing and the suspension until he acts holy shit

It seemed to me that Walt was pretty shook by the whole thing; he looked like he was going to throw up at one point in the lab there.
My perception was that he was not “right as rain”, but he was lying to Skylar to reassure her that they are all still safe.

Season 4 & 5 are legendary television. Probably my 2 favorite seasons ever

Gus is a savage!! That scene scared the shit out of me when he was all mysterious getting changed and slicing Victor in front of our guys only to walk away like a boss. Shows you don't mess with his business and anyone is replacable. Drained Victor like a pig and Walt and jesse assuring Mike the barrel will work was funny as hell. Trust them, it works. Lol. Love this show, gets crazier from here on out if you can belive that!?

*This show is a masterpiece because each season gets better and better. I’ve never seen any show accomplish anything like that. I’m currently in season 3 of “Better Call Saul” and that too is getting really good. And from what I’ve been hearing, some say it’s even better than BB! So we’ll see*

@@estherstrossler3198 It feels more engaging right? The direction was better too imo, everything looks a lot more modern and fun. I prefer BCS's character development over BB too, they really made it in a way that i cared for every single character, even Lyle, that kid from Pollos Hermanos lol
I draw the line at Ozzymandias tbh, BCS did everything, but because it doesn't have an episode to really match that I can't say it's better than BB.
It's funny how during the scene where Gus cuts Victor's throat I called everything, yet the absolutely amazing way it was all done made me question my hunches at least twice in a few minutes. Amazing episode.
In my opinion part of the genius of Breaking Bad was that it is only 5 seasons. I think the writers on other shows that run 8 to 10 seasons runout of ideas. That's why so many shows that run that long have very bad endings. You just do 5 seasons and it stays fresh.
Technically they gave us 6 more seasons because Better Call Saul .

It's always sunny in Philadelphia just finished season 15 and it's still amazing. It's unbelievable.
As for the conversation you were having in the beginning, Bojack Horseman is 6 season and it gets better and better, it's a masterpiece. I'd love to see your reactions to it:)

To match the greatness of Breaking Bad, I think you have to watch early 2000 shows. The Wire, The Sopranos, The Shield, etc.
Why people always came with that shit, the sopranos is average but the wire o my god not even closet that shit it's straight boring.

My boy Mike pulled a gun right when Gus slit Victor's throat. Even a badass like him was as shocked as Jesse and Walt.

Walt really had to trust that Jesse would pull through for him i think he thought they caught Jesse before he was able to do it then when he knows he did it he was quickly releaved and also felt a bit sad for Jesse but also proud that his loyalty was strong enough to do that for him

Season 5 is in reality 2 seasons. Better Call Saul is also 6 seasons with a longer 6th season (13 instead of 10 episodes).

i dont know how far you are in the show but after the show, i would reccomend watching the Netflix movie then doing the spinoff, i think some reactors do it the other way but i have no idea why
They can skip EL CAMINO and BCS is boring up until this last season. I suppose BCS is a good show to binge but watching it in real time every week then wanting a year and a half to 2 years between seasons for nothing to really happen sucks.

i still say breaking bad has 6 seasons, 5 and 5B were like almost a year apart.

West-Wing went a bit downhill - The Americans was pretty much one of the greatest shows I've seen. Also - BoJack Horseman was most simultaneously touching and hilarious show I've ever watched. Also 6 seasons ending on an incredibly strong and impactful note.
They should seriously watch Bojack!

While they did see the guy's face I dont think that is why Gus killed him, I think he did it to prove a point.
Same I always believe Gus kills Victor because he ran the lab without permission, which was a ton of money at stake
It was a combo of both and him just overall failing at his job. He made too many mistakes and was sloppy, getting a little ahead of himself.
He did it because he was seen at Gales and to scare Walt and Jesse.

1:10 bojack horsemans first season was mediocre, then became my favourite show around season 2 up until the last episode, till this day the best episode of the series was the penultimate episode. consider watching it to anyone reading this comment, and uh im sorry for having to make you go through the first season but do stick around, its prolly the most accurate portrayal of mental health ive seen
You mentioned "The Americans", but didn't say if you've seen it or not. If not, I'd definitely recommend it. Seven seasons wasn't nearly enough. I wanted more! I hated to see it end.
