You mention K looking out for J throughout the years growing up. That was exactly my thought when I saw the ending, I also wonder if he waited for J while he was a cop and watch which path he was taking in life and acted. This movie really makes you question his acts relating to the first movie. The ending really broke my heart because J had hard feelings towards to his dad, thinking his dad abandoned him.
Right?! Just that simple act really added a context to K that we did not expect to have, and it just added such a depth to the heartbreak we already felt at the end. What a wonderful writing decision!!
So as soon as J Came across a Alien... K thought it was perfect time for J to join MIB. Also explains why he repeatedly broke protocol and recruitment policy and made sure he got recruited.

As an Asian teenager when this movie was released, I grew up immersed in Western film franchises like Harry Potter, X-Men, MIB, and LOTR, thanks to my father's collection. Given my country's strong Western influence, I was so excited to see the new Man In Black film in theaters. I dunno.:. It felt like a significant cultural moment for me. And as I walked out of the theater, I experienced a sense of belonging and understanding. “I understood the reference! This movie here was great! I understand the hype now, more than ever!” I was positively vibrating with happiness. I was so thrilled that I watched it five times in a row, spending all my lunch money on buying tickets. I still remember the experience so fondly.
Full credit to Brolin here. If I'd never seen him before, and you showed me footage of him acting this way, I'd absolutely buy that he was a young Tommy Lee Jones 😊
The first two movies in this franchise are just fun goofy rides.. the first one introduces you to it by using the goofy Smith as a vehicle.. the second one kinda doubles down on it and tells you the same thing in a different way. But the third one in this series really tells a good story with elements of the franchises goofiness and it was an amazing performance of Josh Brolin to capture Tommy Lee Jones' character's nuances and demeanor. I think it was the best one in this series.
The twist at the end of this show is sooo friggen epic you never would've thought about it. Props to the writers. MIB was always a fun alien action film and somehow they shoved tear out of our eyes with a very meaningful sequel. If the first one wasn't so important for its time, MIB3 would probably be my favorite. This was golden, like Pony boy. (react to the movie "The Outsiders")
It's a tragic tale about K's relationship with O. Remember he had a crush on another woman in the first movie. In the photos K showed J before getting coffee with the worm guys, there was a picture of a man giving the aliens flowers. In the Animated Series, that man was indeed K and he was originally going to give the flowers to his date but he stumbled upon an alien landing and was recruited by MiB. K still harbored feelings for his old crush seeing that he was peeking in on her via satellite. It probably goes then, that K tried to move on and try to date O, but he couldn't get his old crush out of his mind. And the tragedy is that K's old crush was just not into looking at the stars as he was and that's is why she left him in MiB2 after his retirement. K probably couldn't bring himself to neuralyze himself of his memory of her or maybe couldn't because she was a childhood friend and that would obliterate his mind.
How many people know Emma Thompson started her career in stand-up? Seriously. There are videos on TH-cam... When J gets pulled over by the cops on his way to Coney Island, did you notice the illustration on the billboard next to him? The incredible talking dog, a pug? The second of two memorials to Frank, who in real life had passed away. Griffin the Archanan is played brilliantly by Michael Stuhlbarg, who plays Agent Halpern in "Arrival" (whose satcom phone is used by Louise to phone General Shang to try to convince him to stand down his threat). Boris the Animal was played by New Zealand comedian, actor and musician Jemaine Clement. He has an impressive body of work, including the voice of Tamatoa (the 'shiny' giant crab) in "Moana" and was an originator alongside Taika Waititi (as Vladislav and Viago respectively) in "What We Do in the Shadows". Someone should do a deep dive on how many times Josh Brolin has played a character dealing with time travel (himself or someone he's encountered). So far, I can think of this film, "Deadpool 2", and his Thanos appearances...
13:25 Fun Easter Egg: when J goes to K home and meets the mom with all those kids, thats the same waitress from MiB2 where J neuralized agent T and told him to get “married and have a lot of kids.” He married her and and lots of kids
I wish they had noticed the billboard when J was pulled over that was advertising for "Frank the speaking pug". Also I just learned Frank and Johnny 5 from Short Circuit have the same voice actor.
20:05 I don't know if anyone realised, but during the scene where J was pulled over in the stollen car, there's a billboard behind him of Frank, it's his picture with the line below it saying, "The Incredible Speaking Pug"
Even if you forget about the excellent writing, legendary performance by Brolin, and emotional ending, all I needed was Bill Hader as Andy Warhol and some 60's rock to make this my favorite of the series.
I knew after you were indifferent to MIB2 that you both would be mindblown at the story and emotional ending. They tied together all 3 movies with this. You 2 remain one of my top 3 reactors. Love the intensity.
This one definitely brought it back! Everything we were hoping from 2 was delivered tenfold here 👏 Thank you for watching these, we wouldn’t be here without you guys ❤️
Y'all posted up this video on July 20. Anniversary of the landing in 1969. Badass! 'That's one small step for man..and another day at the office for MIB.'
That would mean that K watched over him as he grew up. That he watched him become a cop that he watched him becoming detective and that's why he went and recruited him because he knew that James was a good man
I honestly didn't want this video end. I absolutely adore this movie and I love you guys. This is easily my most favorite out of the trilogy, it's so well written :)
We understand the feeling. We didn’t want the film to end either while watching. What a bittersweet journey. So glad we got to share these with you guys. Thank you for being awesome ❤️
Josh Brolin never fails to impress in any role he plays. And think about the double meaning about this reveal. Not only is this kid the son of the man who saved him,but the child version of the agent who came back to save him. Remember, he saw the watch as well
They really did surprise me with MIB:3. When I first saw that they were making a third one all I could think was that they were cashing in on nostalgia. But, I loved it, and the fact that it ties things together beautifully. It really makes you want to watch the first one from a different perspective.
The whole "what happened to you, K?" conundrum: I don't think it's actually what happened to K, in the end. It's what happened to J, to James, to the little boy whose father had to die to save a man who would save so many in the future. MIB3 isn't actually K's story: we got K's story in MIB2, with Lorana and the Light. MIB3 is J's story, where he comes into his own after all those years, and where K can finally meet him, one to one, man to man, heart to heart, as the past finally meets the future it saved. I don't even feel the need for another MIB movie, but if they do ever make one, I hope it can pave the way for another generation, because thematically, the only way another MIB movie happens is if K and J both end up passing the torch...
Great reaction as usual. The only two things I noticed y’all didn’t come in on was the billboard behind Jay when he got pulled over, showing the dog, the pug and the woman in k’s apartment. The woman was the waitress from the second movie in after they flashed her. She became the exact person they told her to become. Great call back. Men in Black international is a different kind of movie and didn’t do very well. It is worth watching. Keep up the reactions.
Now, watch Tommy Lee Jones again in The Fugitive & U.S Marshalls & Will Smith again in Bad Boys series, Irobot, Hancock & Enemy of the State. Awesome movies for you 👌.
Cool fact: Boris the animal is played by musician and actor Jemain Clement. He is most well known for being one half of the comedy band duo Flight Of The Conchords, he also composed and sang “Shiny” in Moana and voiced ‘Fart’ in Rick and morty 🫶
And it also explains the answer of J's father to the J's question: - What did he show you? - He shows how important you are, you and your partner... And it wasn't about their job with aliens, he probably showed him that this is his boy, and the man who will raise and protect him🥺 that's why it was so quick and effective. P.s.: You should definitely watch (and if possible react) to the Will Smith's Grammy winning soundtrack to the MIB film - thats a masterpiece of a clip totally about the films and its universe!
I've never seen this movie in english before! Is so weird to hear Griffin's voice, in spanish his voice is so soothing I always loved that about him, loved his character, he's a sweetheart 😊 this is an amazing closure to MIB, thanks for the reaction guys ❤ (Aaw you cut out when O hits J 😔 I love that part jajsjs Emma Thomson is amazing)
K walking on the beach with J at the end is significant how J let go of his hand for a moment, but K pulled him back to him. K's been watching over J from the shadows, until felt it was time to pull him in.
When I first saw this movie, I was still quite young and haven't watched lots of movies yet. I didn't know Josh Brolin at the time and I thought that it's Tommy Lee Jone with de-aging technology or some CGI thing. He's THAT good

As soon as this video came up in my feed, that scene instantly got me excited for your reactions. Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith are always amazing as K and J, and this film gave their relationship something wonderful. With the addition of Jemaine Clement, Josh Brolin and Emma Thompson, you're in for a nice ride.
Brilliant hilarious reactions your channel always delivers great content, my aunts been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer this week & not looking good, this has been the first time I been able switch off for a hour & chill. Thank you so much Ari & Denise your awesome.
Josh Brolin was an INSPIRED choice for young K. He looked & sounded so much like Tommy Lee Jones. Michael Stuhlbarg is now one of those actors who just appears in things & elevates it to brilliance. Great actor. This is my favourite MIB film. Great storyline. Hilarious. Moving. So glad you guys enjoyed it too
I like that one of the things that makes this one so good is how much it re-contextualizes the first one and makes that one better than it already was. Very smart to let your sequel uplift the original instead of trying to one-up it.
It turns out that Kay is a ladies' man) In 1961, he had a wife whom he abandoned because of his work in Men in Black; in 1969, he dated Agent O; in 1978, he had a daughter with Princess Loranna.
13:27 that's the waitress of the pie joint from the second movie. They made a point of showing her with kids. Her husband is the neuralized MIB agent who was neuralized by J.
The ending of this one brings everything full circle, especially why K fought to get J into MIB and why he was so distant in the first 2 films. Josh Brolin was great as a young K, and I think Alice Eve and Emma Thompson as O was brilliant casting! Boris made me think of the legendary wrestler Randy Savage, and Griffin made me think of a young Robin Williams. I knew that the waterworks would start in the last 10 minutes, especially for Denise! 😢 So happy that you guys got to this one so quickly, and I loved rewatching it with you! ❤❤
I did not think this one would be good after the second one. I watched it on a plane, and I was wrong, not better than the first but for sure a lot better than 2. I cried.
This movie absolutely made up for MIB 2 and it’s a good popcorn flick 🍿the plot twists are crazy Boris is GNARLY 🤢🤮 the humour, OH MY GOSH,the HUMOUR IS HILARIOUS 🤣 Will Smith was Will Smith (that’s all we need from him) and Time travel 🧭 is such an interesting concept for movies. This journey was AMAZING 🤩 AND SO WERE YOU GUYS, KEEP BEING WHO YOU ARE
Rip Torn, the actor for Zedd died only a few years back. However, during the filming of MIB3, he had been arrested for drunk driving, hence the change. I think overall it works though. The woman in K's apartment is the woman who J told to ask out his former partner T in MIB2(after he told him to get married and have a bunch of kids). "Where you been man? It was like an hour ago!" LMAO, never fails to make me laugh. This time, Will Smith got the slap from O. The dog actor for Frank the Pug passed away before MIB3, so he appears as a picture in J's room and as an attraction for the carnival(on the billboard). Boris(the Animal)mocking the hippies with that laugh kills me every time. "K....Pasa?" XD! K:"What's your gal's name?" J:"Shhhhttarron?" K:"SHTARON?!!!" Lol, that was actually a pretty good lie before. "K, did you ever flashy thing me?" "No." Love MIB best of the trilogy, but this one is a very close second.
You guys are just unapologetically yourselfs with these reactions and iv never been a member to anyone channel before. In other words I became a member and keep up the great work you guys are awesome 😀
Unfortunately Frank the Pug (Mushu) passed away before filming began. 12:27 for his portrait. Tim Blaney provides his voice in the films and video game. Portrayed by Eddie Barth in the animated series. Frank the Pug returns in MiB: International.
The chemistry between J and older K had been one of my favourite chemistries in any franchise, but I’d honestly say that J and Younger K’s chemistry is slightly better in my opinion. Also when I watched MiB 3 for the first time, I always thought Griffin was played by Elijah Wood.
The actor playing Griffin I have seen in a number of other films but he always plays dramatic parts (Lincoln, The Looming Tower, etc.)..which is why I LOVE him playing this light, comic, pie-eating grin alien with the ski hat on. He is amazing here.
one of those trilogies that doesnt feel like just cash cows. all of them, even the second one, all add up to a nice solid emotional send off. whether they intended it or not even the other movies have moments that with this context make more sense, like k being especially adamant in vouching for j. that interaction between j thanking k and him responding its been my previlege, its one of those moment where you can tell its not just characters talking. just an awesome trilogy overall. one interesting observation to finish, if you look at modern mib, it feels more like an airport, but if you look at early mib, it feels more like a presinct, wich is a nice sign of their own personal approach to alien species coming to earth. i feel like its a nice piece of worldbuilding that goes often unnoticed.
We had such a blast with this film and that ending caught us so off guard! We did not expect for it to get us like that 😭 Thank you so much for your consistent support, it really means the world to us ❤️

K probably couldn't bring himself to neuralyze himself of his memory of her or maybe couldn't because she was a childhood friend and that would obliterate his mind.
they did a great job bringing the trilogy full circle
Frank lol
Thanks to the Marvel multiverse, Josh Brolin is Thanos, Cable, and young Agent K. 😁
When the son of Obadiah said wow that means you were there so much foreshadowing but if its your first time you dont get it til the end
Y'all posted up this video on July 20. Anniversary of the landing in 1969. Badass! 'That's one small step for man..and another day at the office for MIB.'
That would mean that K watched over him as he grew up. That he watched him become a cop that he watched him becoming detective and that's why he went and recruited him because he knew that James was a good man
I never understood people’s dislike for this movie especially since it’s way better than 2.
"We love The Media Knights" we all say in unison.
Awwww thank youuu, we love you too!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Adding it to our list! ✍️❤️
J's dad is Luke Cage from Netflix
Mike Coulter play Jay's Dad also Luke Cage and Father David in the series Evil which everyone needs to watch !!!!
I just realized that lol
Cool fact: Boris the animal is played by musician and actor Jemain Clement. He is most well known for being one half of the comedy band duo Flight Of The Conchords, he also composed and sang “Shiny” in Moana and voiced ‘Fart’ in Rick and morty 🫶
Frank actually passed away. Director didnt want use another pug
The fact that Boris is played by the best (IMO) half of Flight of the Conchords will never stop blowing my mind 😄
We used to run into a store when we were younger and asked for help people what year it was . Then screamed „It worked !“ … ahhh classic
And it also explains the answer of J's father to the J's question:
- What did he show you?
- He shows how important you are, you and your partner...
And it wasn't about their job with aliens, he probably showed him that this is his boy, and the man who will raise and protect him🥺 that's why it was so quick and effective.
P.s.: You should definitely watch (and if possible react) to the Will Smith's Grammy winning soundtrack to the MIB film - thats a masterpiece of a clip totally about the films and its universe!
I've never seen this movie in english before! Is so weird to hear Griffin's voice, in spanish his voice is so soothing I always loved that about him, loved his character, he's a sweetheart 😊 this is an amazing closure to MIB, thanks for the reaction guys ❤
(Aaw you cut out when O hits J 😔 I love that part jajsjs Emma Thomson is amazing)
The final chapter in the MEN IN BLACK Trilogy, until MIB INTERNATIONAL was released.
Not hearing a lot of people talk about that one 🤐
@@OfficialMediaKnights For the love of God do not watch It
@@OfficialMediaKnightsreception to international wasn't really good considering the
The
Well
A lot
@@OfficialMediaKnights Not worth to react to. It's a movie that you'd watch when there's absolutely no other choice.
What is that ... A fanmades?
K walking on the beach with J at the end is significant how J let go of his hand for a moment, but K pulled him back to him. K's been watching over J from the shadows, until felt it was time to pull him in.
When I first saw this movie, I was still quite young and haven't watched lots of movies yet. I didn't know Josh Brolin at the time and I thought that it's Tommy Lee Jone with de-aging technology or some CGI thing. He's THAT good
You guys are unique! 13 minutes into the reaction and was tearing up from your surprising comments!,,
Thank you for stopping by! Glad to hear you enjoyed ❤️😄
The bowling head scene always makes me crack up 😂😂😂
that ain't a finger hole you sick bastard
Thank you for the all the videos and the time and effort ypu put in, you guys help me with my anxiety and make me happy when you post videos, please keep it going guys much love from the UK 😊😊😊
Thank you for making our day. We too deal with anxiety so reading that we actually get to help others means the world to both of us. Thank you for taking the time to write something nice❤️ Sending all the love to the UK
This movie really brings it around! Everything was just perfect!
Brilliant hilarious reactions your channel always delivers great content, my aunts been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer this week & not looking good, this has been the first time I been able switch off for a hour & chill.
Thank you so much Ari & Denise your awesome.
You absolutely rock @Timelord007 both of us are sending you and your loved ones all of the love and strength ❤️

Nice to see Frank The Pug got some form of work when he came to Earth judging by the "See The Incredible Speaking Pug" sign.
Josh Brolin is sooo good at capturing Tommy Lee Jones' mannerisms
the end hits extra hard because will smiths father really wasnt around, and that scene from fresh price was his real reaction
@29:20 thats the exact same scene as J shooting the noisy cricket in the first movie, hops on the car and ends up in the trash
13:27 that's the waitress of the pie joint from the second movie. They made a point of showing her with kids. Her husband is the neuralized MIB agent who was neuralized by J.
I was glued to your faces at the J as a boy reveal lol. Perfect moment :).
I cried.
For us it’s pretty close! 1 is an amazing film but 3 brought in the emotional stakes we were craving. Love both of them! We too cried ❤️
This trilogy is like Back to the Future and Die Hard (the first 3 anyway) for me. While I love the first ones, it's the third one that's my favourite.
MIB Agents: Boris the Animal!
Boris: It's JUST Boris!
This journey was AMAZING 🤩 AND SO WERE YOU GUYS, KEEP BEING WHO YOU ARE
I got emotional with james part at the ending, amazing reaction
K:"What's your gal's name?"
J:"Shhhhttarron?"
K:"SHTARON?!!!"
Lol, that was actually a pretty good lie before.
"K, did you ever flashy thing me?"
"No."
Love MIB best of the trilogy, but this one is a very close second.
You guys are just unapologetically yourselfs with these reactions and iv never been a member to anyone channel before. In other words I became a member and keep up the great work you guys are awesome 😀
Holy crap, this was such a huge compliment to us, thank you so so much! We are so glad to have your support, it means the world!
Cheers to that 🫡😉
@OfficialMediaKnights and I can tell it does I appreciate you 😀 a lot of popular content creators don't take the time to reply, you guys did 😀
I do believe that K was hurt that J’s dad had to die for him to go on living. THAT is what scarred K. I truly believe that.
Unfortunately Frank the Pug (Mushu) passed away before filming began. 12:27 for his portrait. Tim Blaney provides his voice in the films and video game. Portrayed by Eddie Barth in the animated series. Frank the Pug returns in MiB: International.
No matter how many times I watch this, I'm always bawling my eyes out at the ending
Love this film. The ending always gets me😢 Geeat reaction as always guys❤
We had such a blast with this film and that ending caught us so off guard! We did not expect for it to get us like that 😭 Thank you so much for your consistent support, it really means the world to us ❤️
Always Appreciate long videos especially with shows thank you for not cutting corners and taking short cuts just to put videos out and get views a lot of channels are starting to feel like it’s not the “ first time watching”
So glad you jumped on this one so quick. It was so much better than than the 2ed one. Lets go!!!
Omg this one was soooo good! We had already heard great things but this surpassed our expectations by miles!
*2nd 😁
The acting in this was so incredible that I got through this entire movie without realizing that Boris is one of the guys from Flight of the Concord. And Josh Brolin imitating Tommy Lee Jones is spot on brilliant!
My favorite quote came from this movie. “I’m better than me”! That keeps me laughing all the time. This one is my favorite too. Great reaction.
Mighty joe young is a undderated gem
This is my favorite one of the series too. I tear up every time young James makes his appearance.
Casting josh broiln and his acting was everything!!!
It always tears me up when we find about J seeing his father at the end. Finding out why his father wasn't with him.
I loved getting to experience this one again. I remembered it being a lot better than the second one, but when I saw comments saying they liked it better than the first one I thought, "Pfft. No way!" But now, after watching this, I can see it.
