Just an FYI on cemeteries. I work with a few and federal law and most state laws prohibit moving of graves. The only exception is if you get written permission (from a true relative) to move that grave. So if they can’t find anyone, guess what it can’t move. So most likely that’s what happened here.
Thankful to see this cemetery was saved. Kudos to those who are doing the upkeep on it. Thanks for taking us to see it. Hope you have a great weekend! God bless!
Although never ideal often they don't save these small personal homestead Cemeteries . So kudos to the awesome people who did save this one and to those who maintain it . Great video. Keep Safe ❤Keep Well❤
WOW that's amazing. I'm so glad that the decision was made to keep this kept up. Some one had the heart and grace,. Not to move these people final resting place. There might of been names, but with time and weather conditions, the names are no longer visible. They were somebody loved ones. It's good to know somebody cared enough to see that these graves are kept up. My great grandparents, had a lot of land and there is a family plot. They had 15 children. A few years ago a family meeting was called. My great aunts and uncles knew they was getting older and some of the siblings was aware there was less and less of them as the years was passing. They wanted those who could to make sure the taxes was paid, because they all had worked so hard to keep the land in the family. That the cemetery on the property be kept up and not forgotten. I understand why they wanted somebody responsible to see that the land and the cemetery remain kept as it is. My grandfather was the last one buried there in 1990. He chose not to be buried in the church cemetery where his parents and some of his sibling was. He chose a spot near a tree, a peaceful quiet place. He was in the army, a retired vet. So his wishes was honored. His grave is fully slabed over. The road to the cemetery has a gate and a padlock. It's in the country, deep in the woods. The area he chose is in a area by himself. It is peaceful and quiet. It's up to the grandchildren, the great-grandchildren, to pay the property taxes. Several markers have been replaced. I can see why someone would to keep this cemetery maintained, so nobody do any damage. God Bless those that see this small cemetery is not forgotten. Thank you for sharing this with us. It makes me wonder if a church was there or somebody's family land. 👍 RIP to those buried there.🙏🕯️🦋🌻🕊️🌌✨. Love, respect and positivity always.vee,Andrew, and family.🙂👋.
I have never seen anything like it, very interesting. So glad they were left in peace, be nice to know who the 10 people were, after all that is a very small cemetery. Thanks Jason. ❤️Jodie🇦🇺
Found this interesting so I looked it up since I live in the Atlanta area. It turns out it is only 4.5 miles away and have been by it many times. Thanks!
Do you want to know of a strange grave. New Jersey use to Route one flea market. Middle parking lot by Mary Ellis. Now she lies in the parking lot of a Home Depot or Lowe’s I believe. Very cool story
@@BackRoads1 I must correct the grave is in a AMC theater parking lot. But what a beautiful/sad story and the respect she still holds today I hope that future generations feel the same way
