    And remember Atlanta was less than a decade from being destroyed by Sherman's army during the Civil War when this map was made. Vine St. on this map is Vine City and the AU Center, Black College complex. The area now house Mercedes Benz stadium where the Atlanta Falcons play their games.

    Freedman’s college looks like where all the AUC Historically Black colleges are today. Spell an, Morehouse, and Clark

      This is no map! Nothing is to scale. These renderings were produced of cities and towns across the country. As a historical document, it's skeptical, at best.

    marietta street is still in the same place. just about everything else has been buried by bridges and layers
