  • Mousepad review of the cerapad KIN, an updated version of the original cerapad that features many improvements. Definitely a top 1/2 hardpad on the market, hard to compare to/recommend over standard cloth/hybrid pads though

      Hi, what mouseskates would you recommend with a g pro x superlight for use on this pad? Currently running the superlight with superglide glass skates and switching between an artisan zero and Hayate otsu, I am tired of having to clean the zero and otsu to restore the glide and want something with lower maintenance but still with enough control as I play competitive shooters like val. Thanks!

    If you haven't yet try using nvidia broadcast for RTX cards to remove background noise when you're recording, it works awesome. Open it, set up your mic and noise removal, then in your obs or recording software change your source from your mic to nvidia broadcast so the noise removal runs. Thanks for the video reviews man and keep up the good work.

    Hey boardzy I've heard that stock gpx mouse feet are so thin that if you put a bit of pressure on an artisan xsoft base, the actual mouse makes contact with the pad, which makes friction bad. Would the same thing happen with corepads?

    unrelated to hard pads, how is the longevity of the gsr se rouge? and are there any control pad that is between the normal gsr and the ikea pad? or any pad just a bit slower than the ikea pad in general?

    • @dylan2572
      @dylan2572 ปีที่แล้ว

      some more information, i mained the normal gsr for awhile and just tried the ikea pad and i like it a lot. And im really looking for a pad that is in between the normal gsr and ikea pad, for example good stopping power like gsr and the smoothness of ikea pad and the speed is not too fast as well

  • @DoryanTheCritic

    I have never really experienced a ceramic coated glass mouse pad like the Cerapad KIN, but I really like its size. Personally, I can’t stand using small mouse pads, as I always tend to do long strokes when maneuvering my mouse, whether it be taking screenshots, gaming, or doing design work on my computer. So my need for an extended hard surface of ample dimensions is quite real, and if the Cerapad offers a very fast glide across the board, well that would be something I’d like acquiring.
    I haven’t seen your original Cerapad review, but I think I’ll check it out to see how much better this one is, as to have a point of reference. But regardless, it sounds like it wasn’t too great, especially, if it was sticky and high maintenance. Why would anybody want a sticky surface?
    If the actual performance of the extended hard surface is based on the skates applied to one’s mouse, I’m not so sure about the product, because I don’t like the idea of having to add skates to my mice. I also didn’t like finding out about the coating chipping away easily, but I’m glad for the heads-up. Furthermore, if you’re going to hold off on giving it the seal of approval, it left me wondering if it is worth getting or not.
    What I take from this video, is that the Sky Pad 3.0 is the one to get when looking for a speed oriented extended hard surface, at least when compared to the Cerapad KIN.
    P.S. - Nothing like the sound of jackhammers pounding away in the morning, especially when trying to get work done. Epic!

    I main this pad. It is solid. Got to Diamond Voltaic Using it. Also mained the Skypad 3.0 before this one. The thing about the Cerapad Kin that is special is you can change mouse skates a tell a bigger difference. And really a totally different feel.I have even Used Pulsar Glass Skates and it is super Smooth! Have used ptfe and had much more control.Also I live in Louisiana so if you have a humid Climate a sleeve is not needed but recommend. The break it period is significant. I Bought the biggest size. So it took over a week to break in. Hope this helps someone on the fence about buying. It’s a truly unique pad and if you like hard pads you should buy.

      How does it compare against the Skypad 3.0?

    • @MrGJr7
      @MrGJr7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It really depends on the skates that you use. If you use glass skates it is slicker and more like playing on ice. I would say it has a little bit more stopping power. It feels more controlled with lower velocity movements. On big swipes or higher velocity movements I doubt you could tell much of a difference between a Skypad and the Kin.

    Don’t recommend it in terms of durability. Surface gets chipped after 3 weeks (even if I took care of all precautions such as using glass cleaners, arm sleeves and not placing any objects on it). Once it gets chipped, if a mere speck of water or sweat gets in that part, the water goes below the surface coating and bubbles up the rest of the coating.
