I'm a huge proponent for the PARA method. It makes it so much easier to organize everything. I'd say my biggest problem right now is that I have been addicted to saving things. Screenshotting things on Instagram, saving countless posts on Pinterest, starting yet another playlist on TH-cam for that one topic I had interest in for a week. After I do all this though, I never look at them again almost ever. It's like I am addicted to the action of saving, but don't have a real reason to do so.
I most definitely have that problem with my iCloud Photos. If I'm scrolling and see something I'm interested in, or want to (potentially) reference later, I'll screenshot it. And like clockwork, I never look at it again lol.
That was my issue with Tiago’s PARA and CODE approach… they favor accumulation first, then slow and random distillation. Rather, I found the LYT approach not only more manageable but created better thinking and understanding of the content I chose to accumulate.
Really enjoyed this and I love your chill vibe. Been experimenting with PARA outside of notes and using it to organize my files on hard drives and in the cloud. So far so good.
I'm considering giving it a try for my internal storage on my laptop. I'm not quite at the point where I think I'd need it on my externals, mostly cause they're just full of video projects as an archive, but I do at least have those organized!
Hey man, that's an amazing video! Congrats!!!! Just one little adjustment: I really recommend reducing the background music a little. At the end of the video, I couldn't even listen to you. Regarding to the topic, I'm trying to reduce my digital life too... Unfortunately I'm very disorganized and the PARA method helped me a lot. Thanks
Glad the PARA method has helped you get organized! And in regards to the audio, I mentioned it below, but I'm going to work on lowering it for future videos 🙂
I discovered the PARA method a few months ago and it has really helped me declutter my laptop and my network storage devices. Great video you have here.
My downloads folder can get pretty file but every once in a while I dump the older stuff in it into the trash. I’ve got my trash set to automatically delete files older than 30 days
This is pretty much the approach that I take. I let things go absolutely crazy for a while - then completely empty it out like every month or so. This is a stark contrast to my email inbox.
Anyone else leave their downloads folder filled to the brim? 🙋♂ I promise I won't judge you 😉
I can honestly say that like many other folders. I delete items from my downloads folder and that includes on my laptop.

Got it! You need the Ground News sponsorship! 😛
Love Ground News - even if I did delete their app!

Thanks for the kind words - it's definitely worked so well for my notes, which I just tend to let go and I highly recommend it to everyone.
Great video, Drew! Question at 0:33 - what keyboard is that and does it work with Mac?
I miss those old-fashioned "REAL" keyboards. :)
Hey Ted! Thanks for your comment - it's a Keychron K2 Mechanical keyboard with brown switches! Highly recommend it!!
@@drew-alexander Thanks for the recommendation! :)
