I have been told by my father how useless I was for so long. I am a drinker but I have done so much for a person who came of nothing. Recently was yesterday. I am the president of a political wing voted in by a lot of people and I am creating a agricultural organisation. His words always take me 20 steps back to how far I have come. Then there is my mother 😔. Without men like Vusi, some of us would have hung a long time ago. After having tried several times

The point Vusi talked about success being you, but in reality both success and failure is just an event. It doesn't define who you really are at the core.
Absolute point Shola, I've actually been wondering the kind of imbalance that is, or probably I'm the one getting it wrong here. Why do we have to own one and disown the other. I'm really not interested as of now in either treating both as events or otherwise, whichever you want to choose, you should just maintain the balance.
TBH, I actually found that a bit confusing. At one point he says success is who you are then again success and failure are just events and don't define who you are. Which is which ??

It now makes sense that success and failure are just events and it’s true that what affects us is the emotional effect it has on us. Now I understand why episodes of failure in the past really got to me

This is so deep because as entrepreneurs we become so emotionally attached to our businesses that we forget that our projects my fail however that doesn't define whop we are!

Relating to the story Vusi, did you and your team tell the lady in question that there's a positive outcome of the interview? If no then she shouldn't be expected sitting around and waiting for a miracle she is not sure of. Communication is very essential.
Again, maybe she took that job because she needed to pay some bills and who knows you giving her a chance may have exposed her to her career.
People should be given opportunities, cut slacks and not judged.
