@@aathrael1372 I think honestly what made the announcer even funnier was the fact that he was voiced by the same guy who did Timmy Turner's Dad.
Thinking back, I'd say that Deadlocked made a far better ending to the "trilogy" from a thematic standpoint.
In the first game, Ratchet found the decency to look past himself and stand up to a violently self-serving corporation represented by Drek.
In the second game, the ego of a tacky celebrity like Qwark endangered the whole galaxy just so he could have one more day to save.
The third game then diverged from stories largely grounded in a dry cynicism about what anyone will do for money and fame, and how the galaxy is generally just fully of shifty characters out for themselves, to Dr. Nefarious. And make no mistake, Dr. Nefarious is still my absolute favorite villain from any Ratchet & Clank game by miles.
But looking at Vox, as the head of a ratings-hungry media empire desperately chasing the next big hero to corrupt into a dehumanized shell of themselves for a sports show, complete with its own fearmongering news anschors in the form of Dallas and Juanita...
I consider Deadlocked the _true_ ending to the trilogy, just for how it returns to the series' narrative roots.
Vox was one of my favourite villains in the series.

Ytrewq Wertyq Can’t tell if Drek or Vox is worse. They both couldn’t care less about innocent lives and would kill billions out of a sense of greed.
@@bakedbeancake6139 late response but I would say drek was worse as he actually blew up entire planets for money where vox just kinda captured heroes. For a TV show.

This game was DARK
But the good kind of dark.
I didn't think the tone was any darker than the original two games, but not having clank on your back and not being able to explore a planet since you were only there to kill was kind of dark

@@deemoney2089 Back on PS2 they were all rated T but only because E10 wasn't really a rating yet. The Ratchet and Clank PS3 Trilogy made them all E10 instead.
I never noticed how epic this music was when I was playing the game. Probably because the boss himself had my full attention at the time (and for good reason)
Yeah! Seriously, Vox was definitely well thought-out for his final boss fight, but really after I shot him down and his health was completely run out, you are still being hurt by the projectiles that he was shooting so imagine if that still continued and the ending didn't play yet...

Man, insomniac used to make some seriously badass music for the ratchet and clank games. Nowadays it’s generic orchestra crap. Not that the orchestra makes it bad. It’s just the music itself is just mind bogglingly boring. Just because you have an orchestra, doesn’t automatically make it amazing.

Ah the memories. I first played Ratchet and Clank in 2003, and beat the first 2 that year.
Then I beat Up your Arsonal which was awesome.
Deadlocked was awesome too.

Well Drek = kill people (whole planets of them) for money, Qwark = cause mayhem and possibly death for redemption and fame
Well, I consider Tachyon as the most cruel villain in Ratchet & Clank, and the true main antagonist of the saga. I mean, he extinguished Ratchet's race: The Lombaxes, conquered a shit ton of planets, maybe even a Fuck ton and brought back his race, the Cragmites, who were the most evil species in the Ratchet & Clank saga. Hell, and he even says that he is the conqueror of the Universe. Jesus Christ.

@@0ҽӀ4179 Gleeman Vox was the final true antagonist of the series in my opinion. In a series where the villains were motivated by greed and plans passed because society was too focused on celebrity trivia to give a damn about people suffering, a villain literally broadcasting his cruelty live for literal children to enjoy and making bank off of executing and/or corrupting celebrities, public servants, ect. on TV is JUST what the series was leading to.
People say Nefarious is the true Villain of the series because he's iconic, but fail to realize his particular brand of villainy was new when he was introduced. Nefarious was a HUGE shift for the series, changing the villains from corrupt persons in power and their shady organizations to more classical archetypes.
Remember, the lombax genocide was invented for Tachyon. Legend, prophecy, destiny, gods - those were notions considered LAUGHABLE concepts in the OS but in the future timeline theyre all over the place. I mean hell, even R3, the most disconnected game from the rest of the series, scoffed at the idea of robot ghost pirates and what is the main antagonist in Quest for Booty?
R&C has taken a dramatic fall from grace and the pixaration of it's content is only the most blaring concept.
Matias Luukkanen most evil intentions for sure but he himself is such a joke compared to other villains, but he’s likable for being a joke.
Face it: no platformer for the Ps2 or 3 will have such awesome showdown music.
Best game of the franchise.

I must have replayed this video 10 times. It is just that awesome! Much better than the music in most of the Jak games.
Yeah it's a shame, Jak 2 is a much tighter and more hardcore game than most of these platformers, but the music feels very uninspired

Best Ratchet game in what comes to multiplayer. I heard the ps3 version is full of glitches and doesn´t have a lot of people playing it. Does anyone know if this is true,because it would be great to play this again!
I've played the PS3 version offline and didn't encounter any gamebreaking bugs. It's definitely a bit glitchy, but also very playable.

Quick tip. The dread challenge "endzone", since you CAN replay every dread challenge, use that challenge to upgrade ALL weapons in a playthrough. Need at least 3 or 4 or (5 if doing it really fast) xp alpha mods. Super quick for 1st playthrough. To highest level being level 10. If on challenge mode, cuts upgrade time A LOT to get to LV99!

Honestly might get some backlash this is my opinion but this is honestly the end of Ratchet and clank for me like i couldn't get into the " Future trilogy" as much as the old ones and the reboot? I don't have enough battery left on my phone to rant.

Good game, good music. The only thing was that the game was nowhere as good as the classic trilogy.
The narrative is extremely weak, but the gameplay itself is superior in every way to the first three, just because of how damn fun it is.

Roland Sharpe you're forgetting the co-op aspect. I think Insomniac games should've explored the concept of future R&C games having this feature. Wouldn't mind having it remastered...

I don't want to be that guy, but Mutant Protopet was easier than Vox.
At least Gleeman Vox give some challenge while Protopet can be killed by spamming upgraded Bouncer.
