That blue mini van has an identity crisis. Dodge emblem on the grille, Chrysler badge on the steering wheel, and a Voyager badge on the rear hatch.

The Mitsubishi Raider is a rebadged Dodge Dakota. It’s a little more rare to see on the road but looks better than the Dodge version.

The Raider was just a rebadged Dodge Dakota

The PowerTech V6 was dropped into the Raider in '06-'07, but was continuing to be built up to '13, so parts should be available.

the raider was not even close to a Dakota. no where near. the Dakota Is a pickup, the raider is a small SUV. next the Durango which is dodges SUV and the raider are no where near the same either. the raider was Dodges attempt to rebadge a Mitsibishi. like they did with several other cars of that era.

@@kennethlaw5216 You are talking about the Dodge Raider, not the Mitsubishi raider. It gets confusing.

    • @01trsmar
      @01trsmar 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@kennethlaw5216 ..Mitsubishi Raider is a Dodge Dakota,made by Dodge its a Dakota..not a Mitsubishi..
Lancer is a Dodge Car...was made in the 1950's a powerful hot looking car..they made the Lancer again in 1985-1988..not a Mitsubishi for that era!
Chrysler owned a majority in Mitsu back from the 80's thats why the Raider/Colt and small D -50 were made for Dodge(they even said imported for Dodge on them)..
In the 2000's Mitsubishi Raider was a Dodge Dakota,as Daimler Chrysler owned a chunk of Mitsu...
FYI : Mitsubishi powered and rebadged Mitsubishi cars gave Chrysler a bad name..Blowing up 3.0 V6 engines and bad 2.6 4cyl from 81-85 gave Chrysler a bad name !! Before that Chrysler was praised.. Mitsubishi crap still gives Chrysler an unwarranted perceived bad name to this day !
Chrysler also made the VW minivan in late 2000's to 2013 or so !!! Its a Caravan with a VW name and different lights/grille ,they gave it stiffer shocks otherwise the same..everything the same !

  • @aicsusa

The Ferrari would be a perfect rebuild! It is not wrecked! The parts are available to rebuild it, you can also pick up a wreck and get most of the parts needed. I use to buy 900 series cars and build extremely clean concourse condition cars out of them. When I started doing this they did not even have salvage titles. There was no branding of the titles. Not sure how it is listed but if you can get that with a clean title, being that you are a dealer, it is perfect for a rebuild and you can make a fortune off it. If you are going to buy something and repair it make sure it is something you can make a good spread on, instead of buying these cheaper cars and only making a couple bucks on them. I understand you real money is from the content made off these cars, but why not buy smarter and make more money there too. You will also have a lot less cars to do, freeing up more of your time to make more content and up your income all the way around. Work smarter not harder! :-)

Maybe to please both people who like short videos and long ones instead of doing one hour long video you could just make a playlist each week with all the walk around videos. Hey randy the Mitsubishi Raider was based on the 2005-2009 Dodge Dakota and this was another partnership and were made at DSM (Diamond Star Moters) Normal Illinois I live only 28 miles from were this was built. This was last truck built buy DSM before they left Normal Illinois. The 3.7L was a Jeep Liberty engine from 2002-2007. This was the Dodge Dakota platform. I would buy the truck. You might be able to use some Dakota parts.

Oh damn Randy, It took me ALONG time to finally subscribe to your channel and last month when you listened to us "I thought" to get longer videos, it made me decide to do it because it felt like I was watching a TV show of my interest. But now making them short..... Now it just feels like a typical home video that you see too much on here. Also you saying that you dont care what we think at the end of the video kinda hurt. The few that want shorter videos IMO are not the TRUE people that like to stick around, they are most likely passer byers that are just looking for the "Quick, im on lunch" guys surfing youtube. My 2 buddies here that were watching this videeo with me are in total agreement, and we will all be ubsubing. But because we do like you and the contemt, I will be looking in time to time to see if you have gone back to listening to us fans. Thanks for all the videos bud, LATER.

That Packard is a really nice driver. It's perfect for Sunday driving. It's not a show car and probably never will be unless you do a frame off rotisserie type restoration and throw $80-$100k at it and then you will never drive it. I would buy it and take it down to bare metal, fix the body issues correctly and spiff up the interior. Depending on if the engine is original I would either rebuild it or I would swap in a modern drivetrain into it. Probably some type of LS or a Hemi maybe hellcat swap. But Packard's are not my cup of tea. Just blowing smoke in it's direction. Nice car though.

The shop situation hit some hurdles, unfortunately. The city got on to him for the cars that were stored there and I think he may be leaving there. I guess that the landlord didn't build the structures properly and as a result, Randy cannot add restrooms, water and sewer, they cited him on the port-o-lets and because there is no running water, restrooms, etc, he cannot run the kind of business he was hoping to run there. Randy tried to work with the city to correct the issues however because of the way the landlord built the structures, the city will not work with him.

Depending on the price I think that Chrysler Van and Chevy Malibu would make quick great flips. From looks of that Ferrari if you had the parts it could be put back together, other then parts missing it was not damaged. I also like the 200, if you could store it at Mikes until you can take it to the shop and find parts while working on other flips.......I like the short or long videos of the walk around, but prefer long video of work being done on the cars, BUT enjoy watching them all. Do which ever works best for you. Long walk around in good weather, short ones in bad weather.

The Raider is a badge engineered 3rd generation Dodge Dakota. The 3.7 is very poor for reliability, and they made very few Raiders vs 100s of Thousands for the Dakota. Front end parts are very hard to find and the door skins are different as well iirc so so cannot throw a Dakota front clip on it.
