I cannot divulge my sources but the Corvette was a theft recovery. It was salvaged bought and restored by next owner. However the next owner who bought it with salvage title and restored it unfortunately wasn't feeling well so he left it parked illegally next to a hospital and he checked himself in. He was diagnosed with Covid-19 and he passed away. The owners family couldn't find the car so they again reported it stolen to the insurance and after 30 days they were paid off by the insurance company. Then the city Towed the car and the insurance company, who now owns it, paid the towing fees and brought it to Copart to be sold for them. The insurance company and the family were unable to find the keys in the belongings of the 2nd owner who passed away. So that's why it's listed as not being able to run and drive. Because it's locked and no one has keys to it. But it will absolutely run and drive with new keys from the dealer because It driver before it was parked and it's only listed that way because it's missing a key. Not because it didn't actually drive. Now, I would never share this information if I had the money to buy it myself but since I can't afford the money there trying to get I'll give the info to you guys in this channel so at least someone from the AAR family gets it and gets a great deal as opposed to it going to a stranger. (by the way, the original theft recovery that totalled it, was only mostly the interior that was stolen so the new owner bought a totalled accident car and used the interior of that car to supply this car using that second accident car so a donor so mechanically this car is titts and perfect. So it's the interior now that it's been replaced). You're welcome to whoever gets it.

my theory is that corvette was running drag radials because the rear tires are older than the front, and it got put back to stock and dumped somewhere, judging by the fact that it looks so good it could be a flood or theft recovery or undercarriage damage or maybe just a salvage title from a previous accident that was never rebuilt.
I love that you drove the Coronet to Copart when you have a fleet of amazing vehicles to drive! And getting wet from no door seals and no wipers! Ahh, the price of loving an old beauty like the Coronet! I have been there too. I daily drive cars most people would not be able to get to the corner! Lemon Law buybacks get branded titles, too. A friend of mine worked for Convergys doing GM's customer service and buy backs at exactly the same time his G6 was bought back so he knew that process intimately and I bet that is what happened-- this car was probably on the line when Randy's C7 was..... Buy back = branded title. I'm not sure if it'd be salvage but it could be.
@@danielhartin7680 The parking stickers were not from the police. Those kinds of stickers are from a parking complex to show the car had been parked there for an extended period of time. I would bet the car was found to be stolen when the car was impounded. Also, the car is from Missouri, so it was a long way from home.
Randy again with all the hail damage around your area, I would get a PDR kit and start pulling some dents out of those good deals... They get salvaged for the labor it takes, but the work is technically not that hard to do, it just takes time.... You fix Vehicles up and that takes time too, so yeah a couple days of pulling little dings out of cars drinking a beer while doing it I mean brings you an extra thousand I say go for it 😉👍
I liked the last gen Eclipses, too (not the Cross) and I always felt like they never got the love that they deserved. They were probably the last, attractive Mitsubishis ever built. I will say, the Eclipse Cross is nice-looking for what they are but should have been called something else they're NOT AN ECLIPSE!!!!
I've pretty much liked every gen of the Eclipse. I had a Eclipse Spyder of this gen and loved it! Super reliable, fun to drive, with pretty good gas mileage to boot. I won't ever recognize one of those ugly SUV's as an Eclipse. The 4 cylinder motors in these are pretty much foil proof.

Granted, even I thought it was a good idea at the time when he swapped the C6 for the C7 but since Randy's issues (btw, I have had my share of GM cost-cutting quality issues myself) I have been trying to talk everyone I could who was looking for a new car and truck out of buying GM. Also, the back tires being the originals tell me the car has not been driven hard, and was in fact an older persons car. I would snatch that vette up in a heartbeat. Even if it requires 10 grand in work, highly doubtful, you'll still make money. Take a chance Randy, I know you stick with the cheap stuff, but this one is a mystery, and would make for good content as well as profit!
We have Purdue’s campus here in Lafayette Indiana... at the end of graduation there are lots of expensive vehicles that are left in parking garages and at apartment complexes from students that were only here for college and live over seas. May be something similar in the Corvettes case.

The rear quarters on the Dodge Avenger makes this look like a 3/4 of a Charger. Weird Beard can flip these all day long. I can smell the Amanti from here. Looks like Oklahoma is the hail damage capital of the world. The rear bumper on the vette fits better than the lemon you traded.
Here is my story about the white corvette, this will make you think. The owner man or woman was in the Air Force. They were single and living in an apartment by themselves no family or family out of state. Maybe they were older and the car was paid for or they had death coverage and so the bank got paid for the car. The bank doesn't want the car and since they got paid they can not claim or resell it. It sat at the apartment for too long and got the stickers from the tow company Arrow and they kept putting notices on the window until it was towed and listed as salvage. Check the rear lic plate holder.
Randy I just saw a video by PHARRAWAY on TH-cam fixing Hail damage pickup! Look it up it's amazing how they just disappear! If you get one maybe look him up I think he's near you. His paint work is second to none! He does everything in his garage!
I'll vouch for the 2.4 Mitsubishi engine. After some minor work the Outlander runs like a striped ass ape. I've of course had to do a timing belt, I've had to do crank and cam sensors, radiator, alternator, fix the AC and some other small issues but it runs so well. It has new plugs Trans service also. It now has 183k on the ticker.
Did you check the under carriage. Possibly they bottomed it out and damaged the unibody? Although the body panels seemed to line up well but that might look different in person.
Vette was most likely paid for, left abandoned for whatever reasons, PD impounded it and when they apply for a title, it becomes a salvage title car. Just spit balling.... I bet it has less than 25k on it
I think you should go for the c7 honestly, might be more reliable than your old one, also (no offense) its a nicer spec becuase it has the lip wing on it

Almost looks like the one I saw on here late last year , TH-cam post a video I think he bought the car from a gm dealer I and found out the vin was locked because the person who was leasing it took it to the track and Gm and the leasing company found out and locked the vin , so when a different Gm dealer sold the car they had no idea the vin was locked.
Corvette locked up cuz previous owner died in it and no one wanted to get inside and make a key because it smelled so bad so the smell of the dead body totaled out the car and that's why it says do not touch. How is that for a guess
The 2014 Corvette had 18,102 miles the last time it was logged. The Corvette has a Missouri salvage title and it was probably stolen and dumped, which is where it got those stickers on the window. The car was recovered and sent to Copart. I doubt the key was recovered with the car and the insurance company is not going to spend the money to have one made.
that salvaged c7 has a rear bumper that was aligned better than your brand new one and all the ones in the showroom apparently. maybe the bumpers realign them selves magically.😂 it may have sat at a dealership way too long after the owner got banned from the property and couldn't retrieve it.
It’s a 14 it probably suffered lifter failure & trashed the motor. 14-18 were known to have lifter failure due to displacement on demand problems. I own a 14 & have it tuned to stay in V8 mode 100% of the time to avoid this common issue brah That’s a Z51 car too
I guess the Corvette has a hell of a lot illegal parking debt hence the City have taken possession to clear debts car is described as a none runner because without the keys it cannot be verified.
I'm thinking the vette will still run .maybe owner left it somewhere and dies for some reason and they couldn't find key . They stuck forklift near it so someone couldn't hook up and steal it .

Could be a theft recovery that got stuck with a salvage title, I've heard there are ways to get a clear title again, don't know the Nitty Gritty on that but on a car like it'd be worth finding out how.... I personally myself back in 2000 bought a beautiful 1992 full size black Chevy Blazer, from a dealership they had it sitting up on the ski ramps out front showing it off it looked like an awesome vehicle that don't tell you something with them showing it off like that.... A few months had passed I hadn't seen it there I figured they had sold it, I wrecked my current vehicle I was driving I called the dealership ask them if they still had it, and they said yes unfortunately it had a salvage title they had just got the paperwork back on it, so they had to take a huge cut on it they had it listed back then for like 14,500.... And they brought the cut down to where I bought it for like 8 or 9,000.... Not a good deal for them but I got a beautiful truck well Blazer.... and when I asked the DMV why would it have a salvage title I couldn't find anything wrong with it nothing on car history or anything.... they told me exactly that it could have been a theft recovery that Salvage doesn't always mean just Salvage.... Now like I said I never tried to get the title corrected but on a Corvette definitely something I would check in to.

My guess on the Corvette is that somebody got drunk, forgot where they parked it, woke up and reported it stolen, and weeks later it gets towed for illegal parking, and insurance sent it here

The early to mid 2000’s Mitsubishi eclipse was like the number one choice of car for high school kids back in the day.
Loved the eclipse and Pontiac G6’s
The Corvette was for sale at a Dealer in Ok City on 6/14/19 for $45,988 and had 18,102 at that time.

That's a trip the Dodge Avenger has the same exact exact interior, Dash, and motor as my 2013 Chrysler 200. Only difference is body style.

I own a genesis 2010 v6 i pay 3500$ with no actual damage was a 177k miles i think thats the perfect project if the price go less then 1300$

My guess on the Corvette is that somebody got drunk, forgot where they parked it, woke up and reported it stolen, and weeks later it gets towed for illegal parking, and insurance sent it here
