Why is the first five minutes just skill issues and personal grievances. It’s not even the first 5 minutes, from what I watched it’s the entire video. Most of his complaints were “it’s bad because I’ll forget about it anyway” or “it’s bad cause I’m bad”.
i looked trough your channel and when i saw you have this mission and you have not played pennys big breakaway or pseudoregalia i was shocked. those are the two games that give you exactly what you want. (pennys big breakaway for a sonic feeling and pseudoregalia for a mario feeling and they are very unique still)
I recall beating this game, feeling satisfied... and then trying the DLC and discovering that without realizing it I'd become dependent on the optional upgrade that slows you down in the air. Haven't gone back to improve my skills adequately to say I really earned the win... but it was fun enough, and the setting and characters interesting enough, that I probably will go back to it someday.
The idea of this series is good, giving "bad" games the spotlight to appreciate the good ones
but this just feels way too harsh and unnecessarily negative.

You must not have played a lot of platformers if you're considering demon turf one of the worst or even bad. The presentation is a little lacking at times and some of the bosses aren't very good but other than that I recall it being solid stuff.
This is one of the best games in the collectathon genre IMO. Not THE best of course, but considering I'm kind of a collectathon fiend it's still high praise.
As for the _actual_ worst I've played... I wanted to say something other than Balan Wonderworld (which only counts because I played the demo), but despite having beaten 800+ games over my life, I can't think of any that are worse than that.
Expand that to 3D Platformers in general, and _maybe_ I've got one: Barbie Explorer for PSX. Think Crash Bandicoot... with fixed jump arcs. In a game that doesn't feel designed around fixed jump arcs. Which is worse: a game that has no semblance of depth or challenge whatsoever, or a game that's mostly unplayable for all the wrong reasons?

Very well! That gate hides the Demon King's Treasure Vault, where you're tasked with collecting several keys. Unlike all the normal levels, there's no Time Trial aspect to this, nor are there any items beyond the keys. Parts of this level are pretty dificult, but it feels great to pull it off. Your reward is the ability to play around with some cheat abilities, though doing so disables speedrun submissions (yes, the game submits your times to an online leaderboard for ILs, Any% clears, and 100% clears).
Argument invalid, Balan Wonderworld exists.
