    Thank you Sam, another little tip is, when you have glue strings, use your heat gun like a hairdryer over your project and they all disappear like magic 😊

    The tip about warming the new glue stick, oh my mom took that secret to the grave, God bless her...I knew there was something she did and I just couldn’t remember until you showed it! Happy thoughts of my mom ! Thank you!

    I do want to thank you very much for this video. The tip on adding the next glue stick is peach keen!! I love it. I'm in the US & have found the pink fingers at a Dollar Tree store if anyone else needs to know. I could be interested in a cordless, but I don't use it often enough. Maybe if it was cordless I would. Be safe & TYFS

    Thanks Sam, I've used a glue gun for over 20 years and the tip for gluing the end of the new stick to the old one is genius, why did I never think of that? I also dropped the stand for the Sissix gun and it's broken so the Amazon link will be a life saver.

    My hubby bought me a glue gun a few years back but it's still packed up. I never used it! Always thought it was more for bigger projects. Thanks for the tips! This might encourage me to finally use it.

    One day some clever person will come up with a silicone mold to re-melt the itty bitty scraps of glue we all get into a new stick!

    Sam I think the link may be missing for the glue gun stand. I really need one of those. Can you let me know if I am totally blind or not! Lol

    TFS! Rarely do I use a glue gun probably because of the inevitable glue strings and I feel that you have to work really fast before it cools too much to be effective. Can you give any tips on working with Art Glitter Glue? I've been using it for months now, and I probably use too much...but if I don't use enough then, of course, it won't stick very well...and I want some durability out of the crafts I produce. Thanks!

    for the finger protectors I put a titch of baby powder in them to make it easier to get on and off.

      Good idea! Recently, I bought the finger protectors at Dollar Tree in the U.S. (3 per pack) They have been great for controlling cardstock when using the trimmer since my hands are too dry.

    The reason I don't usually use my glue gun is because of all the stringy mess that gets all over my project and everything else. If they had a way of stopping it exactly when you've got enough, I would be more likely to use them.

    I just put the new glue stick in behind the old without melting the tip and it still works just the same. Once the mechanism of the glue gun grabs the new stick it just continues to push the old stick through.

  • @mistressmars3200
    @mistressmars3200 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You don't actually have to heat the next glue stick...if you just put it in...the gun will grab it and it won't fall out.
