  • I show you how to make molds for your miniatures or scale models using hot glue, just like you would with blue stuff, oyumaru or rapid mold. I use this technique for my nurgle models and terrain.

The other nice thing about this is that if your mold fails or if you don't want it any more, you should be able to melt it down and make a new mold.

hey there turns out you CAN actually do molds straight from the hot glue gun as long as you lubricate the model with oil of some kind, after watching this video over 50 times, I was filled with enough inspiration from @miscast to risk losing my sculpt and it somehow ended up working!
Time to cast it in plaster now buh byeeeeee

Cool! Also, if you want to prevent bubbles in the surfice of your plaster cast, like the tiny ones you see in the final example, apply some of the plaster mix with a brush inside the mold before pooring in the bunch.

If the detail is not too fine you can also use Plasticine. Push the master into the plasticine and put the lot in the freezer (to make the plasticine hard), de-mould and then make the copy with plaster or epoxy putty of your choice.
You will lose some detail but it's good enough for many things.
