I was fixing to say the same thing man I was like wait why is he fighting them with the armadillo all doesn't the cutter cut I'll cut off his his tentacles he can't shoot those missiles and it does the same amount of damage as as the armadillo would
The best way i found to defeat the octopus his spamming with the x buster, that will destroy the torpedos and try to be at the edge away from him, when he uses the splash atack, charge the x buster and try to hit him on the air, right before he stops using it, and thats it
The spider is what gave me trouble. I hope I can beat it without using a subtank because I know I wont be able to land the special attack on it easily.
Fire melts ice. Ice can prevent Mandrill from attacking you. Electricity takes out armor. Shields can defend you from missiles. Missiles can blow up sharp knives. Sharp knives can cut trees. Forests can handle the wind. Wind blows away fires.
Is Storm Eagle the only one who isn't affected at all by any weapons other than losing more life to his main weakness? I just noticed this. Every other Maverick boss is disabled in some way or at least pushed back by their main weakness, or in the case of Mammoth and Octopus they can be disabled with boomer.
He’s the only one I take on with the x buster alone then start picking off the rest of the mavericks from there. I’ll be playing this tomorrow on my day off.
The homing missiles do much damage against boba fett. And if you use missies against bobba fett in the robot, he will briefly turn himself to the other side.

Against Mandrill, if you turn and shoot the wall and freeze him and then time the remaining shots just right, he won't move. Also, you can cut Launch Octopus's tentacles off with Boomer's weapon

Oh wow, I knew about being able to do that to Launch Octopus but not Flame Mammoth. And I thought I played this game inside and out as a kid hahahah.
Flamming Mammoth is not really necessary since he is easy to defeat
