11:36 Actually, there's a legal way of getting the Ultimate armor in X8, which is getting X to 100% of metals and getting all the other armor parts. After that, you just start a new game from that save file and you should be able to use it upon finding the Neutral armor (I think the same applies to Black Zero and White Axl with their respective 100% metal completion)
Honestly I love the Gaea Armor so much. Yes it is limiting and slow. However I love throwing out massive waves of damage at the cost of slightly more difficult platforming. Yes the X5 stage where you fight the Black Devil and have to navigate that laser room with it is hard but it's really satisfying to complete and wreck said boss afterwards. This is just my opinion of course.
That armor makes Sigma surprisingly easy, i watched someone having hours of trouble against sigma with the other armor but once they used Gaea armor they beat it on the second or first try, they even had 1 subtank to spare
The armor is very broken. In all 3 virus scenarios, wearing this armor is a walk in the park. Not to mention the last 2 Sigmas. Uff... The easiest final fight of all Megaman X using this armor. It's a fucking boss destroyer!
Just finished X4 recently for the first time and gotta say I really loved the Armor for this game. The design and The different functions of the armor was just really cool to me and a personal favorite of mine
Well done for beating X4. It was only a month ago I finally beat all the games through the legacy collections, something I always dreamed of since I first played Megaman X1 so many years ago, so I know that feeling
@@xx4931xx thx Dude after completing half the saga for the Mega man X series it felt really satisfying getting to experience the X series for the first time in the Legacy Collection. Here’s to Capcom actually making a Mega Man X9 game in the future
@@xx4931xx I'm embarrassed to say it took me roughly 3 weeks just to get Iris to cough up the crystal so I could even hurt her! Combine that with the fact Storm Fukurou could fly from one end of the screen to the other over the course of less than a second (it seemed) I am still convinced my copy was glitched (or just that badly scratched up)! And don't get me started on Ol' Frosty! PS: Rock "no pun intended" on for beating X4, Shounen Bois! Yes, it's a month late but still!
10:42 If i remember correctly. The blade armor has an alternative charge shot if you press UP while releasing the shot. You do a charge slash with extra range at the end. Very cool and fitting for the "blade" theme of the armor.
Also the ultimate armor is supposed to have a semi-transparent look (which obviously could not make it to the in-game graphics) which looks pretty cool, i think there's a model kit of that armor and it's also semi-transparent like that.
@@diamonshade7484 It is? Its abilities are mostly just different. Stock Charge is kinda similar to the X2 and X3 busters, but other than that I don't get that feeing
@@diamonshade7484 Dash is just a standard thing for X by that point, and the airdash a standard for every armor since X2's. You would have more of a point if the X4 armor did keep the vertical dash, but as it stands, it's more of a sidegrade
Fun fact : Ultimate's Nova Strike on X8 is upgraded, it needs a bit of recharge after use (But very fast anyway) and can only be used mid-air so the aim could get weird. But the power is tremendous it's pretty much instant kill, even bosses reduced from full to 1 HP on hit.
Feels more like downgrade to me. Original Nova Strike can effective use for speed run and reach hard to reach place which X8 version cannot due to its slow recharge rate.
I think it depends on what you prefer really, tho a thing to mention that the Nova strike doesn't act like a 1 hit ko every time. The nova strike in that game acts like a neat 1 hit ko in the easier difficulties but it will never one shot the enemy due to them doing their ultimate attacks, however, in the hardest difficulty, the nova strike will usually take 2 strikes to take down the enemy, plus that tiny bit of health after they perform the ultimate attack. Tho I like that the ultimate armor in that game is supposed to be a complete mixture of the Hermes and Icarus armors, justifying it's purple coloring.
The Golden third armor takes the cake for me, no question. Not just for its moves, but for its value in the game it's in: it's a reward for going all out in megaman X3, which is one of my favourite X games of all time despite its flaws. Even if the completion aspect is rough and a lot of time is required to get everything (I'm not that bothered by this but not everyone would agree), every time I get back into this armor and proceed to kick ass with it afterwards I can't help but feel it was worth it. So yeah, this is my favourite by far
@@diamonshade7484 the hardest megaman X game to complete, but probably still much faster to 100% than most games. It's still a brisk ride all things considered EDIT: I forgot X8 existed
Same for me, I actually never knew it existed back in the day and I had played the game a dozen times, then in a magazine I read that this armor existed, it sounded like those BS rumors you hear all the time, mainly because it sounds so out of place in relation to the previous secret powerups, these being street fighter cameos, but lo and behold it was real, at it was awesome AF. The golden armor coupled with the Z-saber is what makes X3 my favorite X game.
@@diamonshade7484 The ability for X to not only self-heal, but to self-refill all of your Sub Tanks, is arguably the best helmet power-up on the series. You can make it so that you can pretty much never lose a life!
I just wish it wasn’t gold. I really like the third armor’s design and original color and I’m just not a fan of how the gold looks. Anyone else agree with me?
10:03 If you hold up while releasing a Charge Shot with the Blade Armor, you'll get a Saber Swing with an extended range, like Zero with the Saber Extend Part.
One thing I think should be addressed for the blade armor; The Z-Saber charge attack. It’s pretty strong and you have it as a regular charge attack, no special ammunition needed, and it has an extended hitbox compared to the Z-Saber at default, which allows it (for one example) to bypass High-Max’s blue shield bars in Gate’s lab, although you have to be cautious when using this tactic.
Nitpicking, but the actual Megaman died, and X is the upgraded version. Essentially, every other "Reploid" in X's universe is designed based on X, and he is (with Zero), the only 2 advanced "robots".
@@theotv5522 Did the original Megaman die? I admit I haven't kept tabs on Capcom for a few years, but for the longest time Capcom was extremely cagey about what exactly happened between "real Megaman" and Megaman X. Honestly, I figured they'd never say because there's no possible way to have a good ending for the original series if it leads into X. Last I'd heard, Capcom was denying the two characters were in the same universe nowadays, but they were VERY strongly implying it back in the day in both series-es. ---------- My headcanon, and while personally fond of it I do acknowledge that it is another word for fanfic, has long been that OG Megaman finally just said enough is enough and turned Wily into strawberry jam. People would be very concerned about the idea that Rock wasn't three-laws safe, hence the decades-long testing regime that leads into X. Particularly after Megaman 7. (I know about the US edit! Bear with me for a moment!) While Capcom America gets criticism for their rewrite of Megaman 7's ending, and that is totally fair... it feels like the direction things were going anyways. Without the modification, Rockman is still shown charging his buster while pointing it at Wily's face until the doctor reminds him of the first law of robotics. This suggests that the law already isn't restraining him as much as it should be. The US modification isn't a wholesale rewrite so much as underlining this developing plot point with all the subtlety and grace that 90s media was known for.
The Blade Armor is definitely my favorite. That charged saber and Giga Attack are really good, as are the standard damage reductions and ammo cost reduction, but what really sells it is that beautiful Mach Dash! Best air dash in the entire series, no contest! The overall design is really slick too. The Second Armor is another favorite, mainly for that awesome double charge shot and helmet design (not the helmets’ function, though).

small note, X8 ultimate armor is the reward for doing an equipment completititon run for X, which, given how 7&8 are developed on a 'multirun' structure, saying that it's obtainable "just by cheating" is a bit too harsh on it. I would like a second video talking about design, this time with the addition that didn't fit here, but it would devovle quickly into colorfull language
2:25 Both the Gaea and Falcon armors are references to the Rush Power (since they appear bulky, limit mobility, and fire stronger short-ranged shots) and Jet (since they are designed for flight) Adaptors from Mega Man 6 2:34 X moves slower in the Gaea Armor because it's heavily built 2:37 Along with the Shadow Armor, the Gaea Armor had unused color palettes for the Special Weapons 3:14 Some sources actually say that the single charge level of the buster is the Head Parts' function; I would give it a jump attack similar to the Icarus Armor as both armors are oriented toward attack power 4:52 The Glide Armor's glide was designed to be an improvement over Axl's hovering ability 6:14 The Falcon Armor's inability to charge Special Weapons is possibly a reference to the inability to charge the Mega Buster with the Rush Jet Adaptor 6:32 In a pre-release trailer for X6, the Falcon Armor was shown dashing diagonally using its flying sprites from X5 7:41 Along with the Second Armor, the First Armor was designed for X to resemble Zero as its parts were also designed to make the former as strong as the latter 9:13 The upward air dash could've also made it to later armors other than the Blade Armor such as the Glide Armor (since it would increase the starting height of X's glide, allowing him to go over areas for longer distances; both it and the glide were included in the ZX series' Model H(X) form) 9:45 In a prototype for X3, the Third Armor has unused color palettes for whenever an Armor Chip is equipped (green armor with Head Chip, yellow armor with Body Chip, red armor with Arm Chip, blue armor with Foot Chip, and black (gold in the final) armor with Hyper Chip); they were cut because they conflicted with X's color palette whenever he loses a life, making the "energy bubbles" appear off as the brightest color is different 9:45 Since the Third Armor is the only one of X's armors to have Armor Chips, I feel that including it in later titles might be a missed opportunity (as well as functions such as allowing infinite Special Weapon usage for the Head Chip like X8's Ultimate Armor and reduced energy usage for the Giga Attacks for the Body Chip, the Ultimate Armor coming with the Hyper Chip, and improved means of being obtained as all of them could've been obtained instead of just one and either one could've been chosen before starting a stage like with the player characters and armors in X5-X8) as the Foot Chip's double air dash might prove to be beneficial for the other armors, even being applied to other abilities such as the Fourth Armor's hovering and the Falcon Armor's flight; they could've also been used by Zero (with the Hyper Chip making him Black Zero) and Axl (with the Hyper Chip making him White Axl, assuming that his color scheme is not based on Lumine's) though they don't have armor upgrades (except in Xtreme 2, where Zero does, as well as in X5, where Black Zero can be obtained from a capsule in the final stages) 10:07 The hybrid saber-buster was also an idea carried over to the Model ZX form in the ZX series, except that it is a handheld weapon 11:35 The Ultimate Armor in X8 is based on the Neutral Armor instead of the Fourth Armor and was designed to be a mix between both the Icarus and Hermes Armors (even their colors, red and blue, mix to make that of the Ultimate Armor, which is purple/violet); besides inputting a code in the title screen, it could also be unlocked by starting a New Game Plus from a completed save file with all of X's Rare Metals and Armor Parts obtained 12:13 The Double Charge Shot is also present in ZX's Model X form, except that the shots are equally strong and that they're fired from the same buster like the Fourth Armor's Stock Charge Shot 13:08 The Stock Charge Shots resemble those of Zero's in X3 and X5, even the latter game uses their first few frames when Zero fires a shot from the Z-Buster; for that reason, since Zero's buster was absent from X4, it can be theorized that the Fourth Armor Arm Parts with those shots was made from it 13:23 The Ultimate Armor in X8 also has infinite Special Weapon usage, except that charged versions can also be infinitely used
Let's not forget that there's some concept art of Zero in his own Ultimate Armor, wonder if that ever made it into gameplay and that's where the Stock shots could come from... highly doubt it though
i think the neutral armor was done a disservice being separated neatly into icarus and hermes on this list while it’s not quite on par with the fourth or ultimate armor, the ability to mix-and-match to fit any playstyle or situation is amazing i especially love hermes helmet, icarus buster and body, and changing the boots out based on the level the neutral armor in totality takes it over the second armor for me good list otherwise
If you 100% X’s power level in X8 and then start a New Game plus run you unlock the Ultimate armor for him. Another difference between the X8 ultimate armor and the others is that it’s Nova strike has a recharge time, however it brings all the bosses down to low health to compensate. The X8 ultimate armor also has a ‘Shoryuken’ that acts like when you’re using Zero’s ‘Hyouryuushou’ (the one you press up for) technique with the Kaiser knuckle. The X8 ultimate armor also has the shadow dash and the higher jump from the other two X8 armors. This makes me feel that the X8 ultimate armor should’ve been counted separately from the other Ultimate armors as it has many differences from the others of its kind.
I thought the Falcon Armor would rank a bit higher on the list. The charge shot is deceptively powerful; it hits enemies multiple times as it goes through them, one-shotting larger enemies (even the ones with shields) or clearing rows of smaller ones with a single shot. There’s also the fact that the Falcon Armor’s flight makes you completely invulnerable to enemy hitboxes. It’s probably one of the most fun armors for me, so I was sad when X6 downgraded it to being like X5's version of the Fourth Armor except without the plasma shot. :(
Yeah it sucks that the armors do actually sustain authentic damage through time. And Alia had to make repairs as best as she can. Which is why I think what makes Ultimate Armor so Ultimate is the fact that it's timeless and unbreakable(?)
why ppl ranked falcon armor so low? I mean its pretty much the best armor in x5 other that ult armor. I mean the charge shot literally go through enemy armor (which there were a lot of in x5) and its flight bypasses a lot of difficult areas in the game, its so broken that both these abilities were nerfed to the ground in x6...
@@arthurkingsley4846 Falcon armor's giga attack is REALLY bad, and its charge shot is pathetic against bosses. If the giga attack was like Zero's in X6 it would be a lot better, but for some reason they made it random where the shots drop
I'm surprised you didn't include the Neutral Armor as a thing, though yeah technically in its normal configuration it's just like Normal Armor X with a cosmetic change but you can customize it. Also while I can't agree with the placement of the Ultimate Armor I definitely understand why you put it there. I enjoyed the list though and definitely have nothing to really complain about. Thanks for the uploads. I'm kinda new to your channel so I didn't get to see your old reviews yet but from what I've seen you're definitely someone I look forward to seeing more from.
YES!! OH HECK YES! My Favorite Armor out of all of them. Using Hermes Charge Speed with Icarus Buster and we can basically spam the full barrier breakingcharge shot every second!!
@@uandresbrito5685 Icarus buster to increase your buster level by one + Hemes helmet to make you charge faster give you practically instant level 4 shots
I wish the classic series had more armors. There were only four and none of they were all decent (the Treble boost was kind of broken though). I feel like one of the things that makes the X games better than the original games is the wide variety of collectibles, armors included.
The gaea armor is a boss destroyer, I usually use it against rangda bangda, that level is very vertical too so it’s not like you need to move quickly through it
Sure, it destroys Rangda Bangda II, but the trip to the boss is annoying with the Gaea Armor, and beyond that, Rangda Bangda II isn't a particularly difficult boss to begin with.
Solid list. Fourth Armor has to be #1 for having the best head part. I also really like the big plasma shot! For aesthetics the Shadow Armor is probably my favorite. What a badass looking armor.
the head part in x4 is overrated, its all but pointless when you see the boss weapons in that game and realise how borderline useless they all are. save from maybe traversal with the web(and that's it).
@@marcosdheleno Eh, they all have their uses, some more than others of course. I think it's just a testament to how powerful the arm upgrade is, that everything compared to it seems less useful. But the head part of Fourth Armor is still the most useful head part in the series IMO.
@@MaskedGuyCh but its not that the arm makes everything else seems less usefull. just ask yourself, what will you use the frost tower on? or the rising fire? hell, the most usable one is probably the twin and its still far less usable than the basic buster shot.
@@marcosdheleno Pretty much every Mega Man game has special weapons that aren't very useful outside of boss-countering. Mega Man X4 has a few useful ones that you can spam whenever you want, such as Twin Slasher, Ground Hunter, and Lightning Web. You are given the option to use special weapons exclusively if you want, which increases the replay value and fun factor. What other MMX head part is better than the Fourth Armor's head part in terms of usefulness? Does it increase the replay value? And does it keep its usefulness until the end of the game?
@@MaskedGuyCh the thing is, there's no reason to use any of them because all of them are unwieldy. take ground hunter for example, what will you use it against? web is the same, its shot has no real damage utility. the best shot is the twin slashes, and even that isnt that usefull due to how it moves. now compare it to mmx3, triad thunder is amazing, gravity well will deal with alot of enemies in tricky places, same with parasitc bomb. same with x1 with many weapons having damage utility, same story with x2, which even has a mobility weapon that actually does work well as a mobility tool. and sonic slice being a better version of twin. x5 has dark hold and spike ball. and x6 has anchor, yamar and magma blade. x4 weapons are just not usefull in anyway. so you never really make use of the helmet. you gotta gimp yourself if you decide to use them.
@@ZenKrio I played the entire game with Axl, and even though X makes the game somewhat easier, I found more fun in playing it with Axl instead. The game is dog shit btw, so I wouldn't recommend playing it to test it out.
@@Elia2Tu Oh I've beaten the game with every single character don't get me wrong. Ex with his glide armor is just so freaking good with the way that game functions that it makes it a lot easier. I actually really liked how in certain situations Axel could equip different guns.
Ciel knew what she was doing when the one crucial thing she carried over into Model X was that X2 double charge shot. God, that double charge is magnificent.
I honestly think the falcon armor in X5 is pretty underrated on this list, the fact that the flying ability also makes you invunerable is pretty broke for actually going through stages, also the fact that it can also equip 2 power chips to further enhace your mobility (speedster and ultimate buster is my go to) make it really strong. In my personal opinion but I definitely would have ranked it in my top 5, also I don't tend to use charged special powers very often which is why I actually don't mind that part of the armor too much. Pretty good video though, keep up the good content!
I think what made the Icarus arm parts so good was that you could charge what was supposed to be X's regular charged shot (not the pew laser one) in an incredibly short time. I always used a mix of Hermes head, Icarus arm, Icarus body, and Hermes feet. In terms of power and mobility, that setup really rocked.
Might also be worth mentioning that the Ultimate Armor in X8 has a different Nova Strike - you can't spam it as often as the other games, but it hits like a truck. Even bosses in the hardest mode get so crippled you could just hit them with their weakness (for sure, Black Zero with Sigma Blade can one shot bosses after a Nova Strike hit, not sure with other setups)
I was kinda hoping this would be a ranking based on aesthetics rather than usefulness. Still good nonetheless, and hard to argue against X4 as the top pick.
X 4 would get a along lower if we were going off looks. It looks goofy, like X raided a hockey players gym locker. The different busters change his glove color, which the better option plasma looks worse with the red that doesn't go with the rest of the armor. I often use the ultimate armor and just ignore the unlimited nova strikes simply because I vastly prefer the way it looks. It feels like an armor that goes together while the X 4 /force armor looks like a bunch of parts tosses together. It's a total hodgepodge.
The main issue with the Gaea Armor is that you can't really use it until you get 8 capsules, so by the time you get it, the game is practically over. And aww man, I love how the Glide Armor looks. It has a subtle owl motif and that really makes it unique. It needed red or blue hands, though, haha. Great list. I'd love to see more like this!
And getting at least two of those requires completed Falcon Armor. It SHOULD be more busted for the amount of work it takes to get it, and THAT'S what I think undersells Gaea to me. It's the return on investment.
You can "technically" get Gaea Armor (GA) before Falcon Armor (FA). The head part requires Firefly's weapon so that's 1 GA part. The arm part can be obtained without any special weapon or FA, so now we have 2 GA parts. Now here's where things get interesting: The body part *can* be obtained with Zero and with the help of a very obscure exploit, by using Hyper Dash (obtained in Grizzly Bear's stage) and the Sigma virus that is roaming around the area. You can use the virus to gain temporary invulnerability which grants immunity to spikes therefore allowing Zero to do another jump to reach the capsule ... it's very obscure but clever. By this point we can assume you have 1 FA part and 3 GA parts since getting the FA foot part in Grizzly Bear's stage is pretty much free. And lastly, the GA foot part can also be obtained with Zero and a precise double jump and F-Splasher. I can't recall if you also need the Jumper part, but if not then that's a full Gaea Armor before FA, even though by this point you probably have beaten all the bosses already minus Volt Kraken.
@@davidchez513 You can also supposedly get the parts from The Skiver and Axl the Red's stages by pause-buffering with the Wing Spiral, but I've yet to try it
@@TonyTheTGR ngl it was pretty worth it, the sigma stages in x5 a filled with spikes so it helped and the gaea armor can cheese bosses just by using it
One thing that I noticed while playing through the legacy collection is that X's Buster gets pink colored shot that keeps going up to X3. Kind of like showing that X retained some of the features from the previous armors, such keeping the dash functionality, and buster upgrade somewhat. However once X4 came out all of it was reset and X got a green buster shot instead of continuing the trend of X keep getting stronger.
Id put it as the worst. Iconic, but it does nothing the other armors can't do. All it gives you is the dash, by x2, x can do that himself. The x1 armor is obsolete.
I just have to point this out because I see so many people complain about the lasers in the last part of X5 (and I believe you even mentioned it in your X5 re-review). You can just freeze time with Dark Hold and skate right past them without them ever firing, as long as you're not using the Gaea Armor.
One thing I want to note that this video did not cover is that you can start with the Fourth Armor in Mega Man X5 It's nerfed to some degree since you lose the Nova Strike and special weapons no longer have infinite energy(although their cost is still reduced by 50%) Otherwise, you keep all the perks of the Fourth Armor such as the air dash, hover, plasma charge shot, the ability to charge special weapons and reduced damage. Not only is this armor useful in the early game, I find it useful throughout X5.
It's wild that you would put both X2 and X3 over X1 because any pros they have are completely negated by the fact that X will plant himself and stop to fire a charge shot on the ground, completely killing your momentum in a fast paced game where you're jumping all over walls and sliding and constantly on the move in general
Love the video! Thank you for putting it together. Your Mega Man content is always a joy. Gotta disagree on the Falcon Armor being fun to use in X6. It got nerfed to heck in that game. Sure, it can charge weapons, but the charge shot is the worst in the series; its tiny and has no piercing abilities whatsoever. X's standard armor X Buster is way better. Also, I find the X1 Armor's Charge Shot is actually really powerful against non-bosses and at point blank range, can deliver 16 damage (X's standard charge shot only does 3-4), not to mention that it can hit enemies directly behind you.
The Speedster upgrade, which doubles X's and Zero's running speed in X5 and X6, also doubles the Falcon Armor's flight speed. For that reason, and because the charge shot was nerfed in X6 (it's weaker and no longer goes through walls), I like X5's Falcon Armor better than X6's.
The 2nd one is my favorite because I think it not only looks the best but the double charge shot is powerful af and the Giga Crush is badass even if I use it once in my playthrough
Boy I had so much fun using the shadow armor. Especially during the later stages where it's loaded with spikes. It's like it's literally telling you to use it. The damage of the normal shuriken and charge shots were also way stronger than the blade armor. It had a ceiling jump which can serve as a high jump as well. It just felt like a more superior version of zero in mega man form! It was also great for speed runs.
@@ZeroX7649 well technically it's possible without any part# at all. U just gotta be very low enough to do it, jump, charge attack, giga attack, then another charge attack(charge when giga attack animation in play).
You forgot to mention that the Blade Armor has 2 different fully charged shots. One is a buster shot, the other is a blade slash. You perform a blade slash by holding the d-pad up when releasing the charge.
X2 Arm Parts are broken because you dont have a special shot while grabbing a wall, so you can release both shots at the same time and deal 5 damage in chip against bosses. In x3, the arm parts make the saber less useful in alot of ways, because you have to charge it longer so the gameplay slows down alot. If you just have the saber with default arms, you get the saber at level 2, which you can fire instantly after releasing the charge, instead of waiting for the shots to leave the screen. It makes X much better at damage output if you’re willing to get in close, aince you can have another slash ready as soon as the flash ends. You can still get the body parts and leg parts + leg chip without arm parts, which makes for a much faster paced build in x3 and i honestly think makes it more fun.
I'd say the Neutral Armor deserves a spot too 👀 may not be much of an upgrade in itself, but it does allow you to mix and match Icarus and Hermes pieces in x8, which does lead to good combinations 😁
The Blade Armour having a bit of a Samurai look to it is a nice contrast to the Shadow Armour’s Ninja design. Hell, the Shadow Armour could essentially be a precursor to Hidden Phantom from the Zero series, since he’s also got that ninja look.
Was kind of torn about the placement of the falcon armor(X5) considering how much it makes the rest of the game trivial in terms of platforming(and to a certain extent bosses since your invincible to everything but enemy projects during flight). Then I considered the fun factor of the armor and from that point of view I can see were someone would place it below the other referenced armors.
I always loved the Ultimate Armor. X4 was my first game and so it's super nostalgic for me and the fact that it's so busted as a cheat and as a legitimate armor makes it that much better. Plus, it's cool!
Fun Fact: In the "HackRom" from MM X5, that allows you to use the Armors before you have completed... The Gaea Armor is WAY BETTER, when you ONLY HAVE the Gloves, to make the X-Buster Charge Faster... It is basically a Unarmored X, but with EXTREMELLY faster X-Buster, and it does not have the reduced range (Only does with the complete armor)
Blade Armor can do a charged saber with extend range in the shape of X and a real lot stronger than charged buster. By holding up before releasing the fire button. I saw that u do not know it exist.
Something I'd like to add is that: My favourite armor to use is actually the Shadow armor from X6, but its not even for the armor itself even though I really like that as well. It's mostly because there is a part that allows to get no charge charge shots and you just get the super strong saber slash without charge and you just plow through everything in your way. I know this isn't valid for the methodology used, but still there as its really strong. EDIT: I also think you can make a strong case for (while not an "armor " in itself) Hermes head parts with Icarus armor being easily one of the most satisfying to use due to its nearly instant charge shot.
Funny detail, Ultimate Buster doesn't prevent you from trying to shoot while clung to the ceiling, but while the shooting animation will play there will be no projectiles.
I find this list pretty hard to argue against. However, when playing X8, I use the Hermes Helmet and Icarus Buster to spam out the normal full charge rather than the laser cannon, since the laser holds you in place, whereas you can fire the big charge shot and keep moving.
Also the fourth armor is the final version of the first armor which was grabbed the Dr Light capulse in the first game upgraded to armor in x2 then again to x3 to is final and perfect form of the fourth armor
Fair picks. Tho I think the Neutral Armor in X8 also deserved its own spot, as it was the most flexible armor in which you could choose and match pieces from Icarus and Hermes as you wanted. Heck, the Icarus foot, body and arms + hermes helmet is probably in my top 3. You lose the Giga Attack, but the fast charged massive laser makes up for that so well, not even the plasma shot from X4 or double shot from X2 tops it imo.
Best I can say about the Gaea armor is that it has a Shot Eraser effect for the Charged Shot apparently, and I THINK (granted I'm not entirely sure), but my best guess is that the helmet might increase ladder climb speed to being faster than other armors or Zero (according to some guides for the japanese version), but someone would have to double check. Third armor I think people count as more tedious than anything mostly due to how the Chips function, overall there is a lot more stuff in X3, but it's not exactly managed well. Plus Dr. Light for some reason scolds you on trying to use armor and chip parts, especially if you try to go for the Hyper Chip that combines all 4 of the other Chips and gives X a gold color to his armor. Fun Fact: The other Chips were also originally going to give X a unique armor color per chip replacing the white on his armor but was ultimately not used in the final game. I imagine due to possibly confusing people on the Special Weapon selection where X changes color per Weapon, also probably was a limitation where they couldn't use 8 different color pallets PER CHIP. Also, the Hyper Chip color was originally going to be just swapping the white for black instead of the gold in the final version. Also for those watching to clarify on the 4th armor, it's unlimited UNCHARGED Special Weapon ammo. Charged shots still use up ammo. Also honestly, I wonder whatever happened to the Stocked Charge Shot Buster, cause the color scheme would lead me to believe it should naturally be the default buster upgrade for it and the Plasma Shot has a weird looking color scheme with the red gloves and the black rather than the white, I feel like mechanics wise the sprites and usage should have swapped given how the ultimate armor works, and considering how Zero uses his buster shots in X4-6, realistically his should act like the Stocked Charge Shot Buster with each fire, the biggest downside in the games as presented is that his fire rate is just too damn slow compared to X. Plus I think he's locked into having to stand there and fire it rather than just naturally be able to fire while walking like X, need someone to double check. Also realistically, Zero in X5 should have had a bigger weakness like having a weaker defense rather than JUST losing his ability to fire a buster shot, especially considering it was meant to lead into Mega Man Zero so him basically losing his bulky armor and make him more squishy would have made sense to me.
What actually holds back the shadow armor is the *the gap*. If you played X6, you know what im talking about, for those who dont, the devs put in an air dash segment where you have to slide down a pillar and then air dash to the next platform. The shadow armor has no airdash, thus you need special parts and near pixel perfect timing to grt past.... btw, the stage to get to this point is, imo, the most difficult stage in the whole x series.... i love this game, but i totally understand why people hate it
4th Armor indeed was the best. If ranking the Ultimate Armor then it should go above the 4th Armor since it's a "like you, but better" situation. A couple of thoughts on the Ultimate Armor: The infinite Nova Strike was not only a powerful attack, but also a really fun movement ability. Like dashing in X1-3, but turned up to 11. Also while the Nova Strike would 2 shot most bosses it was practically useless on the final Sigma encounter as you were likely to take far more damage than you could dish out forcing you to play the encounter correctly rather than just scrubbing R2.
funny enough, I always called the first armor the Paladin armor cause it makes X look like a paladin in holy plate, tearing up bosses. Second armor always seemed more like an avenging set meant to bring justice upon mavericks, so I called it the Vengeance armor. Never had a name for the other unnamed armors... Also, i find it amusing to see you pick the falcon over the gaea armor. I may have found gaea slow, but the power of it tore through the dangerous enemies and even the final boss so fast as to make most of them non issues, and I found the falcon's flight and buster shot just didn't do it for me. And the shadow armor's variability in where it's shots would go made he never use it. I couldn't trust it would do what I wanted. So as a guy who only uses weapons when absolutely necessary, I'd take gaea armor over any of the X5-7 armors. And I'd personally pick Vengeance armor over 4th, as it's buster and boots just worked better, the armor was a non issue, and I'd prefer secret finding over infinite ammo, as again, buster main. Most the picks though fit well enough, and I wouldn't change much else.
@@___________0Z0X that could work. And the third has the fan name of max armor, due to being labeled that in a toy series.... But I don't care for that one. Also the gold has a different name too from that line...
@@lanereynolds4567 maybe we could call it The Saint armor? Because dashing upwards X looks kinda looks like he is t posing and The forcefield the armor gives looks like holy protection? And the gold version can be the golden saint armor. Idk, that’s the best I can come up with.
Wait you forgot to mention that the 3rd armor from x3 also gets the Z Saber, the hadoken for the first armor and the Shoryuken for second armor because you need the full armor to even get them, however they are very risk vs reward lol
12:22 Awww man, you're clearing out one of the funnest parts of the Serges boss fight! I love jumping around dodging each individual cannon and making sure I calculate just how much damage each cannon has received so I don't get a closeup laser to the face at the end. It's a beautiful boss fight.
Good to see 4th armor on top. It's always a pain choosing between the horde and mini-boss killing plasma buster vs the stock buster, but even the stock buster has its own downside of reducing the damage your charge shots deal; just enough no less that outside storm owl and jet stingray you basically use the helmet and weakness spam every boss from that point
X2's armor was my favorite, both visually and for inventing a lot of the mechanics future armors would be graded by (1st air dash, 1st giga attack). The series definitely should have kept an X3-style item scanner as the pickups got more and more obtuse. There is something to be said for armors like Shadow that try to experiment and change the gameplay style up. What would be your ideal 'perfect' armor (assuming it was in a difficult but well-balanced game)?
A problem with most armors in the X series, as you pointed out, is that most of them consistently have a dud or two among the four parts of each armor. Because of that, "dud" is the last word I would use to describe any of the parts of the Fourth Armor.
I think you would struggle to come up with new parts that aren't duds in functionality. We've seen so many effects on X and some of them have even been copied (rising jump damage, air dash, reduced ammo cost) so I think it's more an issue of leaning into overpowered status or sinking because you tried something new
I remember as a kid, playing X4 and only really knowing about the hover boots and the helmet. It was my first Mega Man game so I really had no idea about the other parts until I got my hands on the player manual that would come with a new copy (I had a used copy). The day I finally got my hands on the arm parts was a great day indeed.
Honestly the Foot Chip for X3's armor is S-tier by itself for me. Dash-Jump into Air-Dash just feels so damn good even when it's the wrong thing to do in almost any situation. Model H from ZX and ZX Advent really spoiled my with that and almost nothing else in the entire franchise comes close.
Fourth Armor in X4 is my favorite armor, and I prefer the 4-charge arm more than the Plasma shot. X4 can be finished as X with no armor too but it becomes og MegaMan with dash and wall jumps.
These are one of the most X-series highlights compared to other MM games. X gets these in addition to abilities, and charging those is one of the most fun things I've found to be able to do with an armor. It's also incredible to feel your mobility improve, whether you're dashing up, to the side, or full on flying.

10:37 you can press Up to do a charged saber attcak with blade armor, just in case you didnt know.
The X2 Armor's buster upgrade is cool conceptually, but the fact that it freezes you in place made me kinda hate using it. I actually fought Sigma with lemons only cus it kept getting me killed.
I think X8 Ultimate Armor is a stand-alone with it being just the Hermes armor but without the buster and its Nova Strike being a one hit wonder on bosses literally leaving them at 1HP after being hit by it and taking forever to use again
What a great idea for a list! However, I do think that the Falcon Armor may need to get bumped up a tier. It may not be able to charge special weapons (which doesn't bother me, because X5's special weapons aren't too good), but there are two abilities of the armor that need to be considered: 1) You are close to being completely invincible when flying, which trivializes a lot of the game's stages once you have the armor, and 2) The charged shot, while weak, can go through walls and floors, and it can also penetrate enemies ' shields, such as the green ride armor enemies that have a shield.
So glad to finally see a video on the subject, but I should note that you CAN unlock the Ultimate Armor in X5 and 8 without cheat codes, but it'll be in a similar case to the Gold Third armor where you'll be in (or near in the case of X8 if you grind) the endgame. As for how- X5: in the stage where you have the battle with Zero, go as unarmored X until you reach a pit. Slide down the right side, and you should drop into a hidden room where a Light capsule is waiting with the full set (when you leave the stage). You can also get Black Zero this way too, just go as Zero to this spot. X8: This is the completion bonus for fully upgrading X. Axl and Zeros ultimate armor's are unlocked the same way.this requires a ton of grinding as you need to still buy the armor from the shop, in addition to the upgrading on X.
Shadow armor with the Ultimate Buster Part equipped is actually one of strongest imo, practically no cooldown between shots and it hits really, really hard. I always use it in the late stages of X6.
One feature you forgot to mention about the gaea armor was that it could erase energy shots like zero's purple z sabre which made it even more broken against bosses
I always felt like the Gaia Armor got a bad rap amongst the fandom when it was the armor I used predominantly to beat the Sigma Stages (and Sigma himself) in X5, due to one very important feature that I think you left out: The Gaia Armor has NO level-2 charge shot. Which means the very moment that you hear/see a charge beginning... you have a fully-charged buster. You don't NEED to wait for the charge sound and visual to finish. Which means you can pump out full-charge shots like they're going out of style, and the cannon is VERY powerful. I mean, yes I couldn't actually use it in Sigma's first stage due to needing the better mobility to get through the Quick Man beams, but it was GREAT for the boss rush!
Gaea Armor is pretty useful when you go through the Zero Virus Stage 3. It doesn't have air-dash but I could use the dash-jump well as before. The giga attack damages Zero a lot!
I think you should have included chimera armor from X8. I know it is basically naked X at start, but when you get all the parts from the other ones, you can finally combine them and make it super useful
One thing you did not mention is that the plasma shot is piercing in X4 (but not X5 - if you want pierce all you got is that tiny laser lol) - making it almost a screen clearing attack. It's a first in the series. For that I think it is almost as good as the double charged shot in X2. Maybe feels a bit broken in stages, and not as useful against bosses though.
I'm surprised the third armor wasn't docked more for how horrible the arm part is. For me it's an instance of a part you're best off avoiding because it handicaps your charge shot to become worse than the base armor, not to mention it lags the game. It makes me want to never charge a shot again. PLUS if you avoid getting it, you can get the Z-saber and it's even more OP because you can charge to it faster without the arm "upgrade"
I feel the ultimate armor from x8 is the best.. Nova strike which deals massive damage, without being spammable like x4/5/6 with Unlimited charge shot even for special weapons. Also, you don't need a cheat code for it bruh. You just need to start a new game with every chip upgraded in the lab. So that makes it perfectly valid.
You are 100% right

Yes the X5 stage where you fight the Black Devil and have to navigate that laser room with it is hard but it's really satisfying to complete and wreck said boss afterwards. This is just my opinion of course.

Even if the completion aspect is rough and a lot of time is required to get everything (I'm not that bothered by this but not everyone would agree), every time I get back into this armor and proceed to kick ass with it afterwards I can't help but feel it was worth it. 10:03 If you hold up while releasing a Charge Shot with the Blade Armor, you'll get a Saber Swing with an extended range, like Zero with the Saber Extend Part.
One thing I think should be addressed for the blade armor;
The Z-Saber charge attack.
It’s worth noting this is also true for the shadow armor
@@gOblin_333 it does also replace the ranged charge shot entirely though.

Last I'd heard, Capcom was denying the two characters were in the same universe nowadays, but they were VERY strongly implying it back in the day in both series-es.
----------
My headcanon, and while personally fond of it I do acknowledge that it is another word for fanfic, has long been that OG Megaman finally just said enough is enough and turned Wily into strawberry jam. People would be very concerned about the idea that Rock wasn't three-laws safe, hence the decades-long testing regime that leads into X. Particularly after Megaman 7. (I know about the US edit! Bear with me for a moment!)
While Capcom America gets criticism for their rewrite of Megaman 7's ending, and that is totally fair... it feels like the direction things were going anyways.

I would like a second video talking about design, this time with the addition that didn't fit here, but it would devovle quickly into colorfull language
2:25 Both the Gaea and Falcon armors are references to the Rush Power (since they appear bulky, limit mobility, and fire stronger short-ranged shots) and Jet (since they are designed for flight) Adaptors from Mega Man 6
2:34 X moves slower in the Gaea Armor because it's heavily built
2:37 Along with the Shadow Armor, the Gaea Armor had unused color palettes for the Special Weapons
3:14 Some sources actually say that the single charge level of the buster is the Head Parts' function; I would give it a jump attack similar to the Icarus Armor as both armors are oriented toward attack power
4:52 The Glide Armor's glide was designed to be an improvement over Axl's hovering ability
6:14 The Falcon Armor's inability to charge Special Weapons is possibly a reference to the inability to charge the Mega Buster with the Rush Jet Adaptor
6:32 In a pre-release trailer for X6, the Falcon Armor was shown dashing diagonally using its flying sprites from X5
7:41 Along with the Second Armor, the First Armor was designed for X to resemble Zero as its parts were also designed to make the former as strong as the latter
9:13 The upward air dash could've also made it to later armors other than the Blade Armor such as the Glide Armor (since it would increase the starting height of X's glide, allowing him to go over areas for longer distances; both it and the glide were included in the ZX series' Model H(X) form)
9:45 In a prototype for X3, the Third Armor has unused color palettes for whenever an Armor Chip is equipped (green armor with Head Chip, yellow armor with Body Chip, red armor with Arm Chip, blue armor with Foot Chip, and black (gold in the final) armor with Hyper Chip); they were cut because they conflicted with X's color palette whenever he loses a life, making the "energy bubbles" appear off as the brightest color is different
9:45 Since the Third Armor is the only one of X's armors to have Armor Chips, I feel that including it in later titles might be a missed opportunity (as well as functions such as allowing infinite Special Weapon usage for the Head Chip like X8's Ultimate Armor and reduced energy usage for the Giga Attacks for the Body Chip, the Ultimate Armor coming with the Hyper Chip, and improved means of being obtained as all of them could've been obtained instead of just one and either one could've been chosen before starting a stage like with the player characters and armors in X5-X8) as the Foot Chip's double air dash might prove to be beneficial for the other armors, even being applied to other abilities such as the Fourth Armor's hovering and the Falcon Armor's flight; they could've also been used by Zero (with the Hyper Chip making him Black Zero) and Axl (with the Hyper Chip making him White Axl, assuming that his color scheme is not based on Lumine's) though they don't have armor upgrades (except in Xtreme 2, where Zero does, as well as in X5, where Black Zero can be obtained from a capsule in the final stages)
10:07 The hybrid saber-buster was also an idea carried over to the Model ZX form in the ZX series, except that it is a handheld weapon
11:35 The Ultimate Armor in X8 is based on the Neutral Armor instead of the Fourth Armor and was designed to be a mix between both the Icarus and Hermes Armors (even their colors, red and blue, mix to make that of the Ultimate Armor, which is purple/violet); besides inputting a code in the title screen, it could also be unlocked by starting a New Game Plus from a completed save file with all of X's Rare Metals and Armor Parts obtained
12:13 The Double Charge Shot is also present in ZX's Model X form, except that the shots are equally strong and that they're fired from the same buster like the Fourth Armor's Stock Charge Shot
13:08 The Stock Charge Shots resemble those of Zero's in X3 and X5, even the latter game uses their first few frames when Zero fires a shot from the Z-Buster; for that reason, since Zero's buster was absent from X4, it can be theorized that the Fourth Armor Arm Parts with those shots was made from it
13:23 The Ultimate Armor in X8 also has infinite Special Weapon usage, except that charged versions can also be infinitely used
Let's not forget that there's some concept art of Zero in his own Ultimate Armor, wonder if that ever made it into gameplay and that's where the Stock shots could come from... highly doubt it though
Dude, periods lol

i think the neutral armor was done a disservice being separated neatly into icarus and hermes on this list
while it’s not quite on par with the fourth or ultimate armor, the ability to mix-and-match to fit any playstyle or situation is amazing
i especially love hermes helmet, icarus buster and body, and changing the boots out based on the level
the neutral armor in totality takes it over the second armor for me
good list otherwise

I would have thought that the glide and giea armor would have been swapped for placement since the damage to bosses is so significant
That's an interesting way to spell gaia
Yah but the glide armor makes x7 playable. It saves the game, somewhat. I'm bias though as I love x7.
Based Gaea Armor fan
@@ZenKrio I played the entire game with Axl, and even though X makes the game somewhat easier, I found more fun in playing it with Axl instead. The game is dog shit btw, so I wouldn't recommend playing it to test it out.
@@Elia2Tu Oh I've beaten the game with every single character don't get me wrong. Ex with his glide armor is just so freaking good with the way that game functions that it makes it a lot easier. I actually really liked how in certain situations Axel could equip different guns.
I’d say X8’s Ultimate Armor is different enough to the classic one to have its own spot.
14:15 the audio is dead.
Thanks for dropping this comment i thought my earphones ran out of battery
Man! That sucks
Pretty good video though, keep up the good content!
i agree, top 2 for me: 1. Ultimate, 2. Falcon and the rest doesn't matter.
Always love to see the great respect for X2. The double Buster shot makes that game so god damn fun!
Gotta agree with the X2 armor buster. It's really fun to play with!
I thought the same.
Now here's where things get interesting:
The body part *can* be obtained with Zero and with the help of a very obscure exploit, by using Hyper Dash (obtained in Grizzly Bear's stage) and the Sigma virus that is roaming around the area.
X1 armor will always be ultra S tier for me, its so simple and iconic i cant help but love it over any other design
When I was a kid I literally thought that was what you HAD to do. I had no idea you could simply run past them.
One thing I want to note that this video did not cover is that you can start with the Fourth Armor in Mega Man X5
It's nerfed to some degree since you lose the Nova Strike and special weapons no longer have infinite energy(although their cost is still reduced by 50%)
Otherwise, you keep all the perks of the Fourth Armor such as the air dash, hover, plasma charge shot, the ability to charge special weapons and reduced damage.
I have to agree the 2nd armour charge shot is by far the best weapon in the series, I'm glad it returned in ZX
I loved that on your 3rd playthrough of ZX, it didn't break, and you got to keep it for the entire game.
I like it gives replayability in zx
Tbh the best looking armor has to be the neutral armor, the design is so badass!
My personal favorite was and always will be the Shadow Armor. It's the only reason I've played X6 as much as I did. It's so much fun to play as.
My favourite as well. Unfortunately the level design doesn't properly allow you to beat the game with it...
@@DetoCerqueira it's possible. You must be thinking about the stage before we fight gate.
Must equip speedster part for it to work though.
Shadow armor with Speedster and Ultimate booster for maximum melee shenanigans.
@@anjingbabi4468 Speedster won't do it. You need the Hyper Dash which has it's icon switched with Jumper so good luck.
You can still get the body parts and leg parts + leg chip without arm parts, which makes for a much faster paced build in x3 and i honestly think makes it more fun.
that makes alot of sense.
I literally forgot the glide armor existed before this video
The second armor will forever be my favorite just for the x-buster upgrade. It is still to this day the single best x-buster upgrade in the series.
The ultimate armor in X4, X5 and X6 were always my favorite. The nova strike just broke the game entirely, and you could basically cheese everything.
@@ThatguycalledJoe Yeah, X looks mad goofy when doing that 🤣
I find this list pretty hard to argue against.
Gaia armor is so underrated. I like it more than the shadow armor because the buster wrecks Bosses. Its a shame that you unlocked it almost at the end
Hey, um... You had an audio malfunction in ya last few words of the video. It just cut out mid sentence.
What actually holds back the shadow armor is the *the gap*. If you played X6, you know what im talking about, for those who dont, the devs put in an air dash segment where you have to slide down a pillar and then air dash to the next platform. The shadow armor has no airdash, thus you need special parts and near pixel perfect timing to grt past.... btw, the stage to get to this point is, imo, the most difficult stage in the whole x series.... i love this game, but i totally understand why people hate it
I always thought the Gaea armor was just X with tires attached lol
Anyways First, Ultimate and Shadow armor GOATED
4th Armor indeed was the best. If ranking the Ultimate Armor then it should go above the 4th Armor since it's a "like you, but better" situation.
A couple of thoughts on the Ultimate Armor:
The infinite Nova Strike was not only a powerful attack, but also a really fun movement ability.
Let’s try to name the other armors. How about calling the fourth armor the celestial Armour because it let’s X float and use the nova strike?
@@___________0Z0X that could work. And the third has the fan name of max armor, due to being labeled that in a toy series.... But I don't care for that one. Also the gold has a different name too from that line...

I know some popular fan names for the armors are Light Armor(X1) and Giga Armor(X2)
@@burner555 I like those names. Any fan names for x3 or x4?
Kudos to x7 not coming in last for once
Another plus about the Fourth Armor is that it's available by default to use in X5, which helps so much with that game.
X2 is my favorite, both aesthetically and in function. And while Giga Crush is super situational, it still was such a cool looking move.
We've seen so many effects on X and some of them have even been copied (rising jump damage, air dash, reduced ammo cost) so I think it's more an issue of leaning into overpowered status or sinking because you tried something new
@@shanerpressley That's a good point.
Gaea is good what do you mean??? Lmfao
There's a reason why Mega Man X is my favorite Capcom franchise, as it very much speaks to the old-school mecha and tokusatsu fan in me.
Super fighting robot MEGAMAN!!!!!!!!
The X2 Armor's buster upgrade is cool conceptually, but the fact that it freezes you in place made me kinda hate using it. I actually fought Sigma with lemons only cus it kept getting me killed.
The way it feels to play with x4’s armor lives rent free in my head. Wish they’d make more megaman games like these man
I think X8 Ultimate Armor is a stand-alone with it being just the Hermes armor but without the buster and its Nova Strike being a one hit wonder on bosses literally leaving them at 1HP after being hit by it and taking forever to use again
In terms of design, nothing has topped X1's armor for me, the ultimate armor from X4 is a fairly close 2nd place though
Always felt that the Blade Armour was underappreciated when compared to stuff like the Falcon Armour, great to see others think highly of it.
The problem is for me the Shadow Armor just well....Overshadows it.
@@ZeroX7649 I feel you too it's so good when you Master it
@@ZeroX7649 except for that one infamous jump
What a great idea for a list! However, I do think that the Falcon Armor may need to get bumped up a tier. It may not be able to charge special weapons (which doesn't bother me, because X5's special weapons aren't too good), but there are two abilities of the armor that need to be considered: 1) You are close to being completely invincible when flying, which trivializes a lot of the game's stages once you have the armor, and 2) The charged shot, while weak, can go through walls and floors, and it can also penetrate enemies ' shields, such as the green ride armor enemies that have a shield.
My thoughts exactly! I would put X5 Falcon armor one more tier above because of those two abilities
So glad to finally see a video on the subject, but I should note that you CAN unlock the Ultimate Armor in X5 and 8 without cheat codes, but it'll be in a similar case to the Gold Third armor where you'll be in (or near in the case of X8 if you grind) the endgame. As for how-
X5: in the stage where you have the battle with Zero, go as unarmored X until you reach a pit.
I was always been a fan of the blade armor. I love that you can hold your airdash for a bit.
One feature you forgot to mention about the gaea armor was that it could erase energy shots like zero's purple z sabre which made it even more broken against bosses
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the Ultimate Armor from X4X5 & X6 it just looks SO BADASS & there's not one bad thing that i can personally say about it.
What about the Ultimate Armor from X8?
In my mind I don't see that as the same one. Besides the X8 version doesn't look as cool. !
I always felt like the Gaia Armor got a bad rap amongst the fandom when it was the armor I used predominantly to beat the Sigma Stages (and Sigma himself) in X5, due to one very important feature that I think you left out:
The Gaia Armor has NO level-2 charge shot.
X2 Double Charge shot is pretty broken. Don't even need boss weaknesses. Nice list
Neutral Armor HIIH Configuration is the Best X armor, Change my Mind.
8:03. That comment hurt my soul.
Nova strike which deals massive damage, without being spammable like x4/5/6 with
Unlimited charge shot even for special weapons.
Also, you don't need a cheat code for it bruh. You just need to start a new game with every chip upgraded in the lab. So that makes it perfectly valid.
