I love the longer video length since I really appreciate all the research and info, but some of the newer episodes are a bit too long imo. It’s kinda hard to find the time to watch the whole video in one sitting since they’re usually over half an hour now.
Our first Geography Now episode was Bulgaria, because that’s where our daughter was adopted from, so when we were first starting the process we wanted to learn more about her birth country. Then we binged all the episodes he’d posted up to then after that, and then every new episode since.

So I came across Geography Now a few years back. The draw to watching it is how it's done in a way that is not super overproduced and fun. I am sure you know this. So from the first episode to the last. They are all done great and so fun to watch. So for this to be your first attempt it's amazing. Please never change the format and keep it fun and zany. I started watching this because I host travelers from all over the world in my home. Some for a day, some for a week. Before I host someone I always watch an episode on their country. I have turned on so many travelers to this as well. This has made it so fun to learn about places as well as find new things off the beaten path. Thanks for your efforts. I am also a fashion photographer and do some video as well so I am so looking forward to this new spin-off Filmography now!
Oh my goodness, so long since I saw your first video, you have improved a lot(especially since Afghanistan ) with I love your videos are 25-30 minutes now. (I hope u can redo Afghanistan ) and I can't wait for the Zimbabwe episode.

When you were at the L’s, I discovered your channel, and soon after set out to see every one of your episodes up to that point, so I’ve seen all of your country videos.
It's so fascinating to see how far Geography Now has gone. I'm so happy that even now after about 9 years it's still going and the quality just improves episode by episode. I feel like many people would've quit way earlier on, but not Barbs. He keeps going despite any obstacles, he's so passionate about this project and I respect him immensely. I've started watching Geography Now long ago, I don't remember when exactly but possibly around 2015-16, and it's gonna be weird seeing the "main series" end when the last countries will come out... But I'm sure the channel is going to evolve into something even cooler and I can't wait.
Even though the production quality was bad in the first episodes, they definitely already had the charme that made Geography Now big. Don't get me wrong, i like all the guys but there was something special about it when it was just Barby basically doing everything by himself. Been a fan for years and you guys came such a long way, It's crazy

Oh whaddup. I have a similar shirt to yours barbs. It's got the old slavonic/Bulgarian alphabet and I can see yours at least says "bulgaria" in modern Cyrillic. In a similar vein the algorithm showed me your channel either by showing me Germany or Bulgaria first. I am Bulgarian American and had just moved to Germany so I was getting recommendations probably based in what other expats were watching.
This channel is so good. I’ve been watching geography now also and I really like it. This channel is so great too. The last episode I watched was the Sri Lanka geography now episode. You did a very nice job with that episode barb. I also watched the Sri Lanka filmography now episode and it so good so defiantly continue this channel too Hannah beucase it’s really good.
Barbs! Hello from another Globe Trekker (aka Lonely Planet) fan :) I remember as a kid spending an hour everyday on Discovery channel fascinated with Ian's adventures. Lonely Planet is the reason for my geography and travel bug. I attribute my desire to pursue studies and ultimately developing a great career to Lonely Planet, no kidding!
I love how Geography Now evolve...i mean i watch and subscribe in Barbz channel since country in letter A's ......well filmography is kinda cool I understand that it evolve someday like barbz channel time to time I love and passionate about geography But i wonder why i dont see my filipino guy Ken?

Barbie, when you go back and update the old videos, you should still incorporate as much of these old videos into them as possible for not only nostalgia sake, but also to keep the best parts of the originals current. I think I speak for a lot of fans when I say I would hate to see the originals discontinued, or no longer relavent.
as someone who's been watching globe trekkers 2 decades ago... i think you've set a different style and tone... they are more relaxed while you talk as if the airport crew is calling your name for final call for boarding 😂😂😂 your show is more fun, fast, impulsive... like a young cool geography teacher. GT is more relaxed, observing and inhaling all the elements while traveling. but i love you both. 😍
...just a second little comment - countries are like eyebrows, they are sisters, not twins. If countries are neighbours, or at one time were under the same empire, etc - their people will inheirently share a lot of similarities through osmosis, so not every country is completely different, but some share a lot with many others (aware this is a very oversimplistic explanation). This is another reason that there is more that unties us than divides us. Would love to talk about this more. (For Barbs, Hannah, & the whole team)
