Helping someone who is struggling to survive in our world is another fantastic video. I'm happy to see that you're getting rid of that blazer, jeep, or whatever it is. In your videos, Alex is a good wingman.
Another great video, helping out some person trying to make it in this world. Glad to see you getting rid of that blazer/jeep/whatever it is vehicle. Alex is a good wingman on your videos.
Agree with studs. I also like to sipe my tires. What a difference for me in the Northern Idaho Pan handle…. You are constantly buying the right tool for the job!
Back in the 80s and early 90s my wife insisted on driving her 1970 Mustang as a daily driver, so I bought her a set of strictly winter tires for the rear end and had studs put in them. Who ever came up with studing tires was an absolute genius. 😊
Casey is absolutely right about studded tires. We have avoided several wrecks and insurance/ hospital bills because of them. We've also shuttled neighbors up our road when the 4wds. ( including my truck) couldn't make it.
I am a disabled Navy Vet in Denver and man I would love the old Blazer to take out to the mountains and do some wheeling. I live on a very fixed income (SSDI) so can't afford to buy shit! Hook a brother up Casey!
Hi had to buy a rc crawler after having 2 major strokes lost partial eyesight so don't drive anymore I used to have 55 willys wagon with 315 Dodge v8 3spd push button tranny sweet old jeep run like top tried it for 80 duster 340 wedge car 3spd with a 150 mile hour speedometer
I grew up in the NW. Studded tires are really great in the winter. I had 2 sets of tires for all the daily drivers. Moved to Texas and every winter tire didn't make it through a single warm spring. Winter tires really don't like mid 90's temperatures...
I've driven a Subaru with studded snow tires and it was so much fun. I envy your property up there. Space to park your stuff and do what you want with it.
Agree regarding studs. Usually here it is no use for studs in city where the roads are sprayed with salt-sand mixture. We use snow tires in winter. Those outside city sometimes choose to use studs as they might encounter icy roads more often. I've had a situation where I lost traction at 10mph down a hill in a turn on an ice covered gravel road. Had I had studs, I would not end up spinning 360 and get stuck in snow bank. As it was really slow, it was enough with a pull by another car to get unstuck. But this experience will not make me buy studded tires as I rarely encounter ice. They are way louder, studs wear off on dry tarmac that is how it is most of the time and in winter anyway you must adjust the driving style according to road conditions.
Where I am in northeastern Ontario Canada it can be below -40F every night for a month at a time . The streets are covered in hard packed snow and ice every day , all day, all winter . " Winter wheels " with studded snow tires are the way to go .
Studs are pretty handy on ice. My problem is people leave the tires on well into Spring time when it's not even freezing. I like the blazer.. it's a shame I don't have the money to buy it off you. Thanks for the video
Minnesota outlawed them after first trying a seasonal allowance. Problem is they tear up the roads. You could actually see the grooves it was wearing into concrete roadways. A good set of winter tires do amazing. Most folks try to get by with all seasons or off road tires on their 4x4 or AWD vehicles. Anything I wanted to use as a daily driver had two sets of tires/rims. A rear wheel drive with good winter tires are better than a AWD with all seasons.
As much as I've wheeled and beat on/repaired my old XJ, I recognized that 8.25 immediately. The plus side to having the 8.25 is the nearly ¾" larger ring gear and you can swap in 29 spline or larger insides from other Chrysler products to make it even more robust.
The willey wipers are available from any marine store. Look for either Ongaro or Sea-Dog brand since they have the offset splined 5/8" adapter. That little round doohickey with the set screw.
You got to Love a landrover, as I have them as my daily drivers for the last 15 years now, sadly you dont get the turbo diesel versions in the USA as they are more common here in the UK and Europe. thanks for the vieo Casey.
Love studded tires when there is ice or snow on the pavement. Unfortunately, the only wreck I had was because on dry road, the studs pulled me into another car during a quick stop due to the grooved pavement. WSP officer was understanding, but I still got tagged for the ticket.
I live in Wisconsin. We salt virtually every time we get any precipitation below freezing. Sure would like to hear Casey talk about how in his part of the country, the DOT doesn’t, or does use salt on the roads. Or sand or volcanic ash. Including running studded tires on dry pavement. All of the above.
Unfortunatly the worlds full of scumbags, but there are also great people like Casey the more than balance them out. I was lucky when young ans some great people helped me and now i pass it on and say to others i help now go help as least 2 others and ask them to help at least 2 others in the future.
I used to put 4 studded tires on both front and rear drive vehicles 30 years ago but the winter tires are so much better now that it's not worth the noise studs make for the 1% of the time they're actually useful. I might reconsider them if I lived in a small town up north where the roads aren't cleaned as well but with 4 wheel drive, ABS, and good snow tires, studs are rather useless.
Personally I don’t care what people say. All my vehicles run studded winter tires all the way around. Late Oct till May. And finally those tires are all on their own rims. 80-100$ plus to change over each time. Plus no appointments needed to change tires.
Having a separate set of wheels for winter tires is a very smart idea. I do it here in Sweden for my little car, aloy rims for the summer and steel rims for winter and studded tires.
theres a manual way to unlock discovery lr1s if the battery dies, actually theres a couple and neither take more than a few minutes. that locksmith should know at least one of them, and if he doesn't i'm sure he could have googled them or checked you tube.
A friend had all of his tires slashed in Reno. About 10 other cars had tires slashed and mirrors broken off. Too many low lifes are running around loose when they should be in the gray bar hotel.
living in rural Canada, yeah studs work, also have a set of chains for those times you need extra help. People that say studs don't work have Florda brain
People that don't believe snow tires work or studs work just don't have enough skill to feel the massive difference. Which in turn means they need them even more😂 also the same people whos fault it never is when they rear end someone
Welcome to Central Oregon! Many, many people (mainly men) wear shorts all year long! Their consideration to Old Man Winter is they'll change out their flip-flops (sometimes) for boots!😎❄🙃❄ Mrs G
likely why only 3 tires were slashed is there is "internet trope" that if you only slash 3, not 4, then insurance won't pay for them and the owner is stuck with the bill. It seems to make the rounds on social media quite often, and the 'genius' who slashed this guys tires likely fell for the lie.. i mean if you are slashing someones tires, you probably aren't the brightest bulb in the box regardless, so i truly believe this is why the idiot did it this way
Vandals suck. Total lack of respect. Having said that, I have run studs in the winter on both coasts for almost 30 years. But, decided to try the best of the studless tires 2 years ago to see how close they have come to a stud. Their weak point is they let you down when you need them the most which is ice. And that includes every single intersection where everyone has slid to a stop or spun out trying to get started. You will get maybe 20% better traction then a summer tire while the stud will just grip and go. Studs are absolute confidence boosters on any hard pack or icy surface because they just work and give you near dry pavement levels of grip. Doesn't mean you can ignore the snow/ice and drive like a nut but with proper winter driving techniques, you can drive anywhere safely and with confidence in your tires to grip. Studless are a total waste of money and the biggest scam going on currently in the tire industry. IMHO
Hey Casey, do you find a difference in the winter time with the wide front tires on your trucks? Just wondering as some people swear by them and others hate em.
Helping someone who is struggling to survive in our world is another fantastic video. I'm happy to see that you're getting rid of that blazer, jeep, or whatever it is. In your videos, Alex is a good wingman.
You're a good man Casey LaDelle, the world needs more people like you.👍👍👍
I have to give this fellow props for maintaining a sense of humor in a bad situation.
This video is award-worthy!
Casey, you have a massive weather system headed your way. Be prepared
Love on-spot chains!👍🏽😊❤️🇺🇸
Another great video, helping out some person trying to make it in this world. Glad to see you getting rid of that blazer/jeep/whatever it is vehicle. Alex is a good wingman on your videos.
People suck so bad and those auto chains are amazing..... what a life/time saver
Now this is my day better!
Snow is not my cup of tea. But taking care of your tires is important. I enjoy your channel and your videos! Thank you for sharing!😊
Agree with studs. I also like to sipe my tires. What a difference for me in the Northern Idaho Pan handle…. You are constantly buying the right tool for the job!

You are correct Casey, studs simply work!
Casey is absolutely right about studded tires. We have avoided several wrecks and insurance/ hospital bills because of them. We've also shuttled neighbors up our road when the 4wds. ( including my truck) couldn't make it.
I love studded tires in the winter!!! I can go when others can’t!!!😂❤
Studs plus awd is a winning combination!
Greetings...thanks for the update. 😊
Goooood morning Casey!!
We run studded tires all the way around on our log trucks in Vermont. They work awesome
Another great video I’m going to share this video because it has a great review of the auto chains.
I am a disabled Navy Vet in Denver and man I would love the old Blazer to take out to the mountains and do some wheeling. I live on a very fixed income (SSDI) so can't afford to buy shit! Hook a brother up Casey!
Navy vet here.Know how you feel !
Nice pronouns in your bio old man
What are they or how do I see it?

Haven't heard of tire slashing for quite some time. Let's not get this started 😮
Nice job! The versa tube kit is a very well made system and goes up pretty easy!
Keep it up Casey. Winter is coming Looking forward to plenty of shenanigans
Studs are pretty handy on ice. My problem is people leave the tires on well into Spring time when it's not even freezing.

I live in the snowbelt of western NY, Studs kick butt, way better than just plain snow tires !
Had studded tires for my 08 trailblazer loved them was worth every penny.
Studs are freaking amazing 100000% agree
With wives like that you don't need any enemies.
As much as I've wheeled and beat on/repaired my old XJ, I recognized that 8.25 immediately. The plus side to having the 8.25 is the nearly ¾" larger ring gear and you can swap in 29 spline or larger insides from other Chrysler products to make it even more robust.
Keep warm Casey
Nice Land Rover. Definitely built for your location
The willey wipers are available from any marine store. Look for either Ongaro or Sea-Dog brand since they have the offset splined 5/8" adapter. That little round doohickey with the set screw.
I love my studded tires!
Nice weather for shorts, keep those knees in the breeze!

On ice, studded tires are great, on wet pavement they increase braking distances, on dry pavement they are destructive, but on ice they are great.
All of the above.
your not wrong I live in ca. and I am getting studs put on today. every November I put studs on and they come off in April or may depends.
Hey Casey !! Again,, Ain't you glad that you DIDN'T sell the rollback ???? With the Blazer ,,Price goes up for the ""REBUILT"" front axle !!! 👍👍👍👍👍
Icy and slick meet slicey and ick.
Your videos are a shining example of how to make quality and interesting content. Thank you for your talent and effort!❣️🤑🦈
Let it snow ❄️

I am not ready to give up the fall weather yet!!! Keep that white stuff down there, I’ll come visit Sunriver in December!!
Hi Casey, is there a speed limit on those auto chains? You probably covered this in a different video..if so..engagement for the algorithm.
35mph
13:25 no Colonel Sanders, you're wrong, Mama's right
Slashed all 4 tires . . . where are we, Portland?
We want to see the star-spangled bonnet on the Willys.
Everything went smooth at the DMV, come on Casey we weren’t born yesterday
I go to the world’s best dmv.
He must be referring to Prineville! Mrs G
funny how people comment on those auto chains like its a new invention.
as far as i know they are a 40+ year old thing.
I used to put 4 studded tires on both front and rear drive vehicles 30 years ago but the winter tires are so much better now that it's not worth the noise studs make for the 1% of the time they're actually useful. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Man I wish I could afford the blazer
Imagine the other guy with slashed tires nobody gives a f about to help 😂😂
Man that sucks someone slashed tires.
homie is wearing a coat and shorts… i thought we only did that in florida
theres a manual way to unlock discovery lr1s if the battery dies, actually theres a couple and neither take more than a few minutes. that locksmith should know at least one of them, and if he doesn't i'm sure he could have googled them or checked you tube.
Stud tires do work but Michigan outlaw them because they ruin the roads. But legal for postal workers can have them
A friend had all of his tires slashed in Reno. About 10 other cars had tires slashed and mirrors broken off. Too many low lifes are running around loose when they should be in the gray bar hotel.
living in rural Canada, yeah studs work, also have a set of chains for those times you need extra help. People that say studs don't work have Florda brain
Studs don’t work in ice. (I live in Australia and have no idea) Fight me.
We can send you an ice storm, courtesy of Pine Gap.
Tire studs are amazing for ice... pretty sure in Ohio they are illegal at least that's what I was told never actually looked into it though
Screams like a cheerleader on helium.😆
Tell of more about Alex? I.E. How long will he be there?
There are times that I really don’t like people... especially those who slash tires...
People that don't believe snow tires work or studs work just don't have enough skill to feel the massive difference. Which in turn means they need them even more😂 also the same people whos fault it never is when they rear end someone
Casey, at least you sell stuff as well as buy otherwise you’d run out of room in the yard!
Glad you decided to off the Blazer. I had that thought a while back. It's nice, but not you.
I don't understand the desire to wears shorts when it is cold.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen him wear pants 😂
Welcome to Central Oregon! Many, many people (mainly men) wear shorts all year long! Their consideration to Old Man Winter is they'll change out their flip-flops (sometimes) for boots!😎❄🙃❄ Mrs G

Waffles rc has made a 1/10 scale rig and a zach lift for it...
dude totally realized how bad his tires were and had a buddy slash em
And all the other cars in the parking lot too?
If only you knew someone that has a dump truck so you wouldn't have to tram the soil across the property.
🤘🏼💪🏼🦅🇺🇸
Studs are overkill and can make people to confident also if you have 4 wheel drive and 3 peak rated tires youll be fine .
Just as a point of interest, studded tires are not legal in Ontario Canada.
Not true. Studded tires are legal for use in Northern Ontario between Oct. 1 and April 30.
How much would you sell it for?
Vandals suck. Total lack of respect. Having said that, I have run studs in the winter on both coasts for almost 30 years. Way worse on ice. The narrow tires get better traction, but I have to run the wide ones for the weight rating
How much for the blazer?
Thank you for the quality content! Every episode is a new masterpiece. I can see that you put a lot of time and effort into your videos.🌮🍔👠
Unfortunately the reason 3 tires were slashed is insurance will cover 4 but not 3. It’s an extra bit of spite by whomever did it.
There’s no insurance involved in this
@CaseyLaDelle the person who did it maybe think that insurance would be involved and did that.
No excuse for that sort of sociopathic behaviour.
Keep that white stuff on the west coast
who is the camera guy
Your going to ware out your lug nuts changing tires twice a year.😜
#NeverSaidHeWasGoodAtThis
#IHateCaseyLadelle
Why was his Tires slit????
Because people suck.
Who is "they"?
Minnesota won't allow studded tires because they may damage what are already completely atrocious excuses for roads. Liberal policy at its... best?
I hate Casey LaDelle!
