You have done a good job with the chute shed. I wish that I had done that with our cattle handling equipment. I had 4 chutes around our ranch to have them nearer to the cows that needed work. We had 12,000 acres and an additional 6,000 under forestry lease. It was a constant challenge to keep it all in good working order. I could have used a few guys like you to help with all of the work Al. Good luck with the coming winter. Gina is such a role model. I share with her a great love of heights;) I see her deal with it with humor and strength and resilience. Look at all she does. I want to be her when I grow up. That's all you want. Plus Al. His humor and support and love and joy is something we'd all want, right? For me, growing up in a dysfunctional family and thinking it was normal and the way everyone was makes me appreciate them all the more. Before the internet we didn't have windows into other ways of being. I hope for everyone that they have parents like Gina and Al, and if you didn't or don't model yourselves on them.
Hey Gina, just a tip I learned for my ceramic cast iron stuff (like your white one), if you boil white vinegar in your pot and then let it sit, you can almost wipe the left over cooking debrise out without scrubbing at all.

Al, I'm with ya brother! Seems I do so much that would be so much more fun to do with another set of hands, so yeah ratchet straps and clamps tend to be my go to pretty often. Especially since a lot of the lumber I use is pretty sub-par! Oh, and the light base you cracked,...no worries, superglue will work just fine for that one!
Rolling out that bale will help to reseed your land, a little something I learned from air two ground farm. Rich and Shelley just did a video on that, I'll suggest in a friendly manner that you check it out.

Even though you had some predictable wind for the metal sheeting work (predictable because you were doing metal sheeting), the unusual fall weather is doing better for your building projects than the unusual summer weather did. It seems like the tides are turning for you though. May you be able to task out your projects between wind, rain, and snow before it becomes bitterly cold.

The general contractor had a rule, all boards that were not whole boards, got tossed at the end of the work day. I was allowed to drive in and swoop them up and take em home, while building three Home Depot's in Florida.

However, we will get a deep shot cold air (10-15 degree) and ocean moisture by late evening. Showers linger thru Sunday 11/24. Still possible bad weather for Thanksgiving as GFS model is not consistent over the last week
