At 13:11 in your video you mention you got the distances (0.7m) for your first 45° corner of the outer wall from the pdf floorplan but i dont see the distances you speak of... great channel yhough it is very helpfull!

Hello. I used the thickness that I showed on the video. However, you can just use a different thickness. This is just an exercise, and the goal is that the students get used to the autocad commands with practice. The measurements are not very important here! Thanks a lot for watching. :)
Probabily you have to zoom in your drawing. Are you using a Mouse? It's harder to use the touchpad, although is possible. An alternative way to zoom is using the command zoom. I hope it helps
Hi + The3DSMaxinator. You should turn on Polar mode. It is an icon located in the status bar (the group of icons located at the botton of the screen). It has a shape of a circle with a radius.

I think most of English speaking countries use inches, but in the remaining part of the world there is a preference for metric units. I don't know if there are countries which use a different system than those ones.

Probabilty you have the grid and snap spacing to large, because this drawing is in meters. Try to make it the spacing to the centimeter. 0.01

Check out to zoom in, to see if the line appears. You could be drawing in a very reduced zoom.

I got confuse in 12.04 the diagonal lines.
"Diagonal lines" is the section of the external wall that is not vertical and horizontal. I used supported lines to help drawing them.

You use the wrong type of dimensions it's supposed to be feet/inches

Why won’t it let me offset the whole thing instead of just one damn line
Hi +James Troutman. Use the command Join to convert all the lines to a Polyline. Then, apply the offset in the polyline. Let me know if it worked.
