    Thank you for the video! It’s a great start for me as I have a long journey ahead in this program. The video helped me understand some of the basic applications, which is really appreciated since the program feels quite daunting.

    Thanks for this video! I got no experience in CAD, but I was referred by a family member to a architecture place they work at. They are willing to train anyone for CAD, but I downloaded the free trial and recreated this so I can get some sort of feel on how this works. This isn't as scary or difficult as I thought it would be

      Glad this helped! I will say, this is an extremely simplified floor plan just so you can get a feel for floor plan workflow. If you're going to be doing architecture, I'd recommend taking a look at AutoCAD Architecture. It's AutoCAD but has tools specific to architecture, and everything we did in this video can be done in under a minute as blocks, floors, walls, and even hatching is completed for you to some extent. We'll be posting more advanced work later on when we have the time!

    What command is entered that make the rectangle part to be adjustable

    • @VerweyDraftingInc
      @VerweyDraftingInc  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Rectangles should be automatically adjustable if you select the rectangle. It can then be dragged in any direction from the corners, or just the selected side!

    I dont get the architectural option in the units

    • @VerweyDraftingInc
      @VerweyDraftingInc  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You should be able to type into the command bar "UNITS", select "Architectural" from the first drop down menu. If this doesn't fix it, What version of AutoCAD are you using? (Year and type, etc. 2025, AutoCAD LT)

    I TYPE 12' IN A RECTANGLE BOX BUT THE LENGHTH WAS TOO SMALL . I AM DAMN CONFUSED COULD YOU HELP ME PLEASE

    • @VerweyDraftingInc
      @VerweyDraftingInc  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The only issue I can think of is when you are typing in lengths and widths you need to put the ' or " sign in order to make sure AutoCAD knows what units you are talking about. If you don't use the foot or inches sign, depending on your settings, it will default to inches. Let me know if this helps; if not I'll see if I can trouble shoot it for you :)

      @@VerweyDraftingInc same problem

    • @VerweyDraftingInc
      @VerweyDraftingInc  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@cheskamariecayanan917 If units are set to feet/inches and you are creating a rectangle it should work. For feet press the ' key without holding shift, then for inches press the same key while holding shift ". If you're doing this correct, and you've double checked the lengths and they are good, then your scale may be off. Let me know when you measure what the measurements are.
      Thanks!

      I've tried to replicate this, however it doesn't seem like I can... Make sure you go to "units" and see if the selection comes up. What are the other options you get in the dropdown?

    The instruction was much too fast for a true beginner. You omitted basic instructions (tab vs enter) after inputting values. Mirror instruction also didn't seem to work for me despite watching and rewatching many times.

      This tutorial is for beginners to floor plans who would have a basic understanding of the program. We have other videos that cover the information you require!
