I will even show you a few test prints on a mug and a onesie using the Cricut Mug Press and the Cricut EasyPress. I’ve been researching sublimation printers and trying to see how it all works. This tutorial was great! Thank you so much!!
Once you put that ink in the printer your printer becomes a sublimation printer and that's it, your essentially stripping it of its original capabilities to do only one thing print sublimation sheets. Not to mention you just voided your warranty.
Eco tanks can dry out and suffer from the same issues as any inkjet printer. So you will never truly clean your printer of old residue. In fact the flushing your discussing is flushing the printer heads not the tubing, cartridges or the tank which will contaminate your Sublimation ink. So buying new should be your only option, if this is what you want to do, and there is no way to go 'truly' back unless you know what your doing on taking apart your printer (youtube videos are not good for that)

What a good setting on printer for brighter quality
Great video!! Captain Jacks sublimation ink comes with the eco tank heads so it’s even easier. You don’t have to empty the ink the printer comes with. Just fill it per the video. 🤓

Is the Captain Jacks sublimation ink good? Iv got my mug press, going to get my printer today and I wasnt sure which brand of ink to use for the sublimation but if the Captain Jacks one has the heads that fit this printer, then it saves any hassel washing out bottles etc

Thank you for this video. I have had my ET2720 for months now but sublimation scares the life out of me. It seems so difficult but your video makes it look super easy. My question is "What will you do with the original ink that it came with?" From my understanding, once you convert the printer, you can't use the original ink anymore so is it just useless?

Have a WF 7720 that I have to send for warranty repairs, (love the thing but so many issues) and am buying this as a replacement until then. Only feature I’ll miss is no support for 11x17 paper (which I use a lot)
Did you figure this out ? That is the size paper I use as well
@@onthefarmwithsmokymist47 You need a printer that supports it, Epson’s customer service is trash. The WF 7720 was 3 months old and they wouldn’t do anything. The ET 2720 works good, but isn’t able to use 11x17

Yes, just regular laser copy paper. My friend did a comparison video between sublimation paper and regular and there wasn't much of a difference so I just save money and use the copy paper.

Thank you for this video bcz I bought a epson 2720 printer for sublimation printing and later found out that it can't be used for that purpose I was very distraught thinking I would have to buy another and found out that they were very heavily priced. But I have a question and I hope that there is a simple solution which doesn't put me back to square 1. I had already put the ink that came with the printer into it as I have seen where u thoroughly washed the ink containers before putting the sublimation ink in them. So I know I may have to wait until its finished before putting in the sublimation ink but I know there will still be lots of residue from the other ink left back will my printer or my items be damaged if I try to print with it. Hope I'm clear
When it’s time to refill the Espon is it anything special you have to do? Or do u just add some more ink to the color when it gets low
As long as the ink is the same you can just add more ink. But I think if you change it to something, different brand or different type of ink, you will have to clean out the cartridge tank and then refill it. I believe they have a solution specifically for doing that though

Good question
Premium presentation matte paper in settings. High print quality. Turn off bidirectional printing.

Thank you for the tutorial. Question: How do you stop the notification about low ink one from manufacture cause it wont print. I have an Epson printer for office work and even though I don’t use color cartridges WEIRD THING but the black one THE PRINTER keeps asking me to replace cartridges that were not in use must be full.

Even though I switch out the ink to sublimation ink ; am I still able yo use this as a regular printer even though the ink is different like if I need to print out regular letters/files.

You will want regular ink for stickers. You can also sublimate on different kinds of vinyl and make stickers that way.
I know this is a couple of months old but I plan on having two different printers. I still need my one with regular ink for daughter's school, etc. It's just a cheapo one. This is for sublimation. It seems like it would be a pain to switch.
So if I already set my printer up the normal way, and I want to make it a sublimation, would I be able to?

Yes, that's correct. Infusible Ink is just cricut's version of sublimation so any infusible ink blanks will work for sublimation.
