I'm going to show you guys how to convert your Epson Ecotank 2803 into a sublimation printer. Easy and Beginner friendly. Follow along and get your sublimation game on!
Hello, I’m sorry to hear that your other printer stopped working properly. I have that same printer and sublimation ink. I really like it a lot! Next, I’ll get a large format ECOTANK printer. You do some amazing work, and I really appreciate it because it keeps me motivated and inspired. Thank you! Donna Coastal Georgia
@@thecraftycloset00 Hopefully, you have any issues with your new 2803 EcoTank. I enjoy using my 2803. I will be sublimating two 20 oz skinny tumblers soon. Hoping they will turn out beautifully with NO GHOSTING or WHITE LINES. Have a lovely weekend!
@@Daisys-Placeno it only voided the 2400. The 2803 I replaced with my own dime😂. So yes if you are considering converting a printer into sublimation it will absolutely void the warranty! Thanks for watching 😊
One question though: Once you put sublimation ink on the printer, can you drain it to use regular ink just in case or is it going to be dedicated to printing sublimation from thereon?
Once you convert it , its strictly for sublimation you could do a deep clean but I've heard is a real pain so just be sure that your okay with only being able to sub on the printer. Thanks for watching
It came out beautiful I am amazed I watched you video twice and will be watching more 😊 I have two questions, do you have to mirror the image ? Did you use canva to get image to print ? I am new to this I got one for Christmas and have not opened it 😊
Yes make sure to mirror your image and Yes this image is from canva. You save it as a png file and upload into DS or whichever software you use for crafting☺! Thank you for watching
Love this Video ! So I kinda bought the same exact printer but already used the ink that came with it. That’s the first wrong step. Can I add the same ink you added after my cartridge inks are done ? or I just can’t do it no more and need to buy a new printer … Someone help plz .
It’s okay it happens to the best of us😊! You can add sublimation ink but you are going to have to purge your machine (totally clean out the ink tanks) There are several videos here on TH-cam that can give you great instructions just search specifically for purging sublimation printer or wrong ink in sublimation printer! Good luck and thanks for watching
It depends on the image, best way is to stretch your image out until you get the error message and in that message it will tell you the largest size it will print. Thanks for watching 😊
This printer does not come with sublimation ink you will need to buy that separately that's why its a conversion to a sublimation printer, I personally suggest Hippo brand sub ink its great. Thanks for watching
You can you Canva or Cricut Design space or silhouette studio, I'm pretty sure there are more but those are the ones which come to my mind. Thanks for watching
So basically, you just used sublimation ink instead of regular ink? Did you use sublimation paper as well? I’m asking because I’m trying to convert my machine (the same one in your video) into a DTF machine. But on the videos that I watched you have to take a part out of the machine, and I don’t want to do that.

No once you convert the printer to sublimation. It’s only good for sublimation printing not regular printing. Thanks for watching

So this can be used for heat transfer sheets that’s what I was tryna figure out at Walmart
No. It can only be used for sublimation since I converted it. Heat transfer sheets work best with with inkjet printers. Thanks for watching 😊
@@thecraftycloset00 so if I don’t convert mine can I use it for heat transfer sheets?.
When I print it’s dull not vibrant colors
Make sure that you print from the print preferences, change your paper to presentation paper matte and the quality to high! Thanks for watching 😊
