  • Meet Monique, a remarkable 18-year-old from our 2024 graduating class of foster youth seniors who overcame incredible challenges to earn her diploma from Citrus Valley High School in Redlands. With unwavering support from Project Graduate, a transformative mentorship initiative that has guided more than 50 at-risk foster youth to graduation since its inception in 2011, Monique has defied expectations.
Driven by her passion for cosmetology and a dream of a future in music, Monique is set to embark on her next chapter at Riverside City College. Her journey is not just about academic achievement but a testament to resilience and the power of dedicated mentorship in changing lives.
All Riverside County graduating foster youth receive additional support from various county and community partners, such as the Riverside County Office of Education, Court Appointed Special Advocate volunteers, faith-based organizations, and others.
