What is gold standard treatment for such children. And do they develop normal communication after appropriate treatment

Gold standards are difficult to come by when talking about social communication. Of course, all social situations differ (expectations for school vs. home vs. at the store vs at a party etc). The best suggestion would be to find a trained professional on social communication methods who is adept at helping kids navigate different environments/people. Michelle Garcia Winner is well known in this area and has lots of great workbooks and tools that have really helped guide social groups in schools and with peers. Depending on the level of communicative function, there are lots of tools and approaches that can be used. In terms of developing normal communication after treatment, we would hope that in all cases, communication would improve and lead to more confidence and higher potential over time! This is a rapidly changing area as our world moves more towards embracing neurodiversity.

My 3.8 years old speak normal at home or with the people he is comfortable with but he freezes completely at school in a classroom or any other social setting. He is very clingy to mother outside home however does mix up with familiar people. We are still struggling to find accurate diagnosis. One of the child psychologist tentatively diagnosed him having social pragmatic communication disorder but i am not sure about that. I myself is a medical doctor and study a lot of related material on net. I was just wondering if a child with the disorder speak at home non stop or and make gestures bcuz he does all that or if it's something else that we are missing. Further about him he is very shy introvert but smart otherwise and extremely pampered . Please do reply. Thanks

@@shazebabrar197 It is difficult to say without being able to assess your child formally. A consultation with a Speech Language Pathologist might provide a little more insight. An SLP would be able to look at communication from several different perspectives (receptive language, expressive language, functional communication, pragmatic communication, sentence structure, articulation of sounds, understanding/use of body language, etc) and be able to determine if your child is experiencing these difficulties as they relate to anxiety about social situations or if it is more of a difficulty related to pragmatic understanding and expression of communication.
