I saw that Jack was going to be on and I had to watch. Listening to a fellow LAPD copper is so refreshing. No offense to anyone else, but some of the terms that he used is like having Air Support coming in for roll call training. It's great from someone that worked the same streets as I did back in the day. To hear about 77th Street again, brings up memories of great capers and history and tradition of LAPD. Well done brother! KMA 367!
Fantastic episode. I did many years with canine/tracking before swat. And it helped me as a swat operator insurmountably. And Jack is also right, playing in OPFOR will teach you volumes there is no substitute ever
I’ve grown to really like this podcast. Keep it u, it’s educational and it makes me understand that Cops aren’t all out to get you…. I do think Police forces do need to do everything and anything to take care of mental health resources.
These podcasts are so helpful. So much I didn't know. I didn't realize K9 officers sometimes get bit. Officials back in the day didn't have body cameras. Having cell phone is also important as you can't always put something over the police radio. Keep up with great work. I subscribed because there is some much to learn. Stay safe.
John! My K9 mentor. I need to hit you up and check in. You were a big influence on me in my younger k9 days. Glad you like that podcast 👊🏼 might have to get you on!
77th still has approx 50+ homicides year. Despite all the great work done there, crime is just as busy as the 80’s, 90’s, 2000’s. It doesn’t change and probably never will.

My first year in patrol, I had a suspect run and I found him in a doghouse. I didn’t know how common it was until watching this video. lol

Hi, Jack. You probably don’t remember me, but you’d remember my dad. He coached the LAPD soccer team when you were on it.
Great podcast!
