HI everyone! Welcome back to my channel. Today, I want to share with you 7 things that are completely normal in Thailand but might catch you off guard if you're from another country. These tips will help you navigate and enjoy your time in Thailand, especially if it's your first visit.
Hotel Extra Fees: It's not uncommon for hotels in Thailand to charge extra fees for various services. Always check the fine print when booking your stay.
Approaching Girls: One of the biggest cultural differences is that in Thailand, it’s normal and often expected for guys to walk up and approach girls directly. This might be different from what you're used to in your home country.
Cash Usage: Be prepared to use cash frequently. While credit cards are accepted in many places, smaller vendors and street markets usually prefer cash.
Dual Pricing: You'll notice that some attractions and services have different prices for foreigners and Thai locals. It can be surprising at first, but it's a common practice here.
Phone Service: Getting a local SIM card or eSIM is essential for staying connected. It’s affordable and will save you from high roaming charges.
Transportation: Public transportation in Thailand is cheap and convenient. However, I often use Grab and Bolt for their ease and reliability.
Hotel Companionship Fees: Some hotels may charge extra if you bring a guest or companionship to your room. Make sure to clarify their policy before booking.
In this video, I’ll dive into each of these points, sharing my experiences and tips to help you make the most of your visit to Thailand.
