I am 44 years young now. Did Muay thai from 16-28. After 28 I just let it go! 18 pro fights and 10 amateur. On Monday… this Monday! In 48 hours I am going to my first Muay thai training in 16 years! I am not! Going to try a comeback as a pro! Just thought that it’s something I feel comfortable with! And I need to take of 10-15 pounds. BUT! I’m so nervous! That I feel sick! I was and remain embarrassed about my lack of coordination, strength and athleticism, but joined a Muay Thai gym a couple of weeks ago and really enjoy it. I am very self conscious when it comes to shadow boxing because of my lack of technical skill and general fighting creativity and so I am grateful for this video a lot. It has really taken a lot of the mystery out of the process and given me a lot of good ideas to practise with, thank you

Thank you this video is so great, I just started and felt so uncomfortable seeing others doing shadow boxing before the training and I was just standing there and did not really know what to do. Now I have things to practice comfortably. I felt so awkward this whole shadow boxing before
I recently just started muay thai training and since I'm new and have only gone to a couple classes I'm basically learning as I go but these exercises are prefect for getting a good foundation on what to work on outside of the gym so thank you for showing newbies like me!
Man this is just what I need. I jumped in at the deep end and flew to Thailand last year (I live in Vietnam so no that far) and did a month long muay thai camp there. It definintely got me fitter than I've ever been, and broke my body more than ever, but I still lacked the fundamentals. I'll try these out tonight. Thanks!!

Honestly thank you I'm not embarrassed or ashamed to say I've been wanting to learn how to throw proper kicks but between work My Wife and Kids in life I don't have time to go to a gym to learn how to learn Muay Thai every summer I would stay at my dad's in Philly and he would have us in the boxing gym during the school year I go back to my mom's and I wrestled but that was from the age 13 to the age of 19 jiu jitsu and Muay Thai are the only two things I never got a chance to learn proper now with TH-cam I bought myself a Muay Thai bag and I'm trying to learn the fundamentals of kicking and again I want to thank you

I practiced Thai boxing and Bokator myself, and if we talk about muya thay martial arts this is one of the best videos that you can learn about Thai boxing, I actually trained Muya Boran in it focusing on paralyzing and destroying the skeletal structure on the knee and elbow.

Alright, I have been doing this for a few days now. So imma write all my progress down Day #1 > Practiced drill 1 that is jab, cross, hook and uppercut. > Had a hard time learning the footwork. > Spend around an hour learning this, although not continuously but whenever I had the time to. > Got immensely better at Jab and Cross, decided to leave hook and uppercut for next day. > Practiced hitting at my wall for few jabs and crosses. Day #2 > My right trap was sore as I practiced Jab more than Cross. > Attempted hook and uppercut, failed miserably and my form kept breaking. > Footwork got considerably better. > Practiced drill #1 only. > Kept aiming for a good form. Day #3 > rest day > Did soft gym session, hit PR with squats and praticed flexibility and mobility with drills like jumping squats, explosive pushups, pullups, farmer carry and a lot of stretching. Day #4 > Praticed drill #1 for the last time > lightly conditioned by elbows and knuckles by hitting the wall. Although not in excess. Day #5-9 > no workout as traps were soared and made it difficult for basic things like walking and such. > Knuckles popped out more than before. Day #10 > Practiced drill #2 AND #3, although the basics were difficult for me to grasp; this part made me feel amazing as I kept progressing extremely quick with desirable results. > My muscle memory corrected my form every time and it had become default for me. > Felt little to no pain hitting walls. > Speed increased. > My reaction time was good even before the training regime started. > Footwork is good. Day #11 > Praticed drill #4. > Did few reps per leg as I did not want to accidentally injure my legs as it's my time with such movement. > Did 2x10 drill #1 > 3x8 drill #2 > 3x12 drill #3 Will update as I progress on.

Today I finally return to martial arts, my first ever drills I learn when I was younger was Muay Thai, since I been doing these drills today I had problem with my walking keeps and teeps additional with my balancing.. but these drills are the fundamental but the first steps to it are always the hardest.

Today I finally return to martial arts, my first ever drills I learn when I was younger was Muay Thai, since I been doing these drills today I had problem with my walking keeps and teeps additional with my balancing.. but these drills are the fundamental but the first steps to it are always the hardest.
