Aloha, I’m tia 🐝 mom of 5 kids, 34 yrs old, wife of Andrew stokes! April 24th I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. After months of being sick I was diagnosed! My first round of chemo I was in the hospital for 31 days alone due to covid.
I started vlogging my experience here to journal this time of beating cancer!! Going live every night becuase I have the shakes and aren’t able to make videos or journal. JOIN ME EVERYNIGHT 8:30 pm MST!!!

I suffer from Anxiety and Depression. I was diagnosed in the 80's when mental health was still taboo and not spoken of. I was 11 years old and so scared because I had no idea what was going on with me. I didnt have the support or understanding that others have today and I thank God that it is accepted and treated so much more and that we have a day to share with others that suffer as well. I have fought my anxiety for 33 years and I'm still moving forward! People were not so nice because they didnt understand my anxiety. So I plead with everyone to be kind to everyone. You never know what they are going through.

Hi Tia I was on your live tonight, and I want to say thank you for sharing your story. I am a recovering addict I have been clean about five years now. I also was diagnosed with anxiety and depression when I was about thirteen, and now I am 35 so most of my life. I can’t tell you how many times I have felt alone, and as if no one understood what I was going through. It’s nice to know I am not alone. I would be lying if I said there were days were I felt like I did not want to go on, but then I heard about you from Colleen. You my friend have helped me through some dark days your strength and kindness is inspiring. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of something amazing even if I don’t know you personally, and believe me some days I wish I did. I think you are a beautiful person inside and out!!! I can’t say it enough Thank you!!!🤟🏽

@baby Frank getting sober was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do, but I got through it and so will you. I still have to work at it every day, it’s a life long thing once an addict always an addict. You can do it I know you don know me, but if your ever having a hard day I am here. Sometimes it’s easier to talk to someone that has been there, because no one understands unless they have gone trough it.

Thanks for sharing your mental health journey. So many more ppl need to do this! I have had clinical depression and anxiety since I was a child. It isn't fun and I'm so thankful you shared. Don't ever think your family doesnt need you. I have had the same thoughts and once I get past the darkness I realize I am needed. I'm also so grateful to God watching his healing hands on you. Thank you for sharing you story. I’ve been following you on Instagram and TikTok. I am literally so happy to see you dance and smile again. I live in Holland, your lives are 4:30/5am here. So I watch them afterwards. I have been chronically ill for 13 years and mental health should never be forgotten also with physical diseases. Your story really helped. That I also should share a bit more not keep everything inside and just smile.

Tia thank you for sharing ur story, it really hit home for me and it's making me reach deep down inside of me and reflect!! I was really mad at God for taking my Dad too early from me! But one day I was at church and it was like my Dad was right there with me and he was holding my hand!! What an awesome feeling that was and it was like my Dad was telling me to believe in God and everything will be ok! So I have put my faith back to God to help me understand my mind and body now!! Thank you for being so transparent. I've struggled with anxiety & depression for some time, & come from a background not supportive of this. I connected with things you said on so many levels. I always post messages like "Check on your strong friends!" in the hopes that someone truly asks HOW I am, since I'm always the strong one. It's my way of secretly reaching out. You always say we help you, but you don't realize how much you truly help all of us too.

I have gone thru something very similar. It’s scary as hell and the shame and guilt was eating me away. Therapy, medication and using a work book saved my life💕💕💕💕

I will keep saying this you are AMAZING, i have had mental health problems since i could remember but diagnosed with depression and anxiety 2 years ago, thanks to my family, friends, God i am here living my life and trying to go step by step to get better, like anything i have my ups and downs but listening to your story makes me so emotional, because i can relate to everything so much, even though i am not married or have children, sometimes i thought i was going crazy and nobody understood me for a long time still think that sometimes, but not as often as years ago. Thank you so much for telling your story and being an example for all of us, pray for you everyday, i know you will get through all of this very soon, your miracle is coming and you will be great!!!
