    Excellent! That's how a video should be done. No useless pointless waffling just simple clear pictures. What happened to the old silencer? They are bloody expensive these days.

    Nice job on those down pipes. I repainted my collector box back several years ago then it cracked, trouble when they rust from the inside. Bought a couple of Italian exhausts for my two NTVs, looked good but the chrome turned out to be rubbish, had a fine layer of rust on them within a couple of weeks. Got a stainless steel short Delkevic can on them now with no collector box. It's a bit louder than I'd like it but it's grown on me, really hear that V twin thump.

      dominator.pl/pl/p/NTV-650-REVERE-RC33-Exhaust-Tlumik-OKRAGLY-1988-1997/1686 Will this type of silencer without a resonance chamber reduce the motorcycle's performance?

      @@lokomo1000 Can't say I've noticed any difference in performance with mine. It does pop a little on closed throttle deceleration which the collector box would hide. I've been told this is a v twin trait but can also be a little over rich mixtue which I haven't looked at yet because the bike runs great.

    Hi, nice video, watched over here in the UK. I find that there are not many NTV specific videos, so thank you very much for sharing. I have quite a well used 1993 NTV 650 that I am slowly learning about thanks to you tube - brake caliper overhaul, fork seals replacement. Do you find your bike difficult to get in to neutral - mine is very difficult. I don't think it is clutch drag... Thanks!

      Hi, from my experience, it could be low oil and needs an oil change at the same time..

      The difficult neutral is well known, just hit the kill switch and it goes in easy.

    Hi mate after some engine bars for mine but can't find any that give full cover like yours. Where did you get them? Cheers, josh

    • @meoffjack
      @meoffjack  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi,
      these are from Hepco & Becker but be aware! If you look closely, you can see that only one screw holds the bars up in the front on one of the frame struts. And if you look even closer, you can see at the end of the video that this screw is not tightend all the way down. In October 2017 I was overtaking a car on the Autobahn with 140km/h. The screw rattled loose, the crash bar hit the ground and almost levered the bike up in the air and me into hospital or worse. I was lucky that I did not crash. If you buy this type of crash bar, INSPECT the one screw that holds it all together REGULARLY. And if you intall those, use LOCTITE!
      They are called "Hepco und Becker Motorschutzbügel". If they are only sold in Germany, I bet you will find a shop that ships internationally.
