It somewhat is, but the pressure you have to put down to get 100% stopping pressure isn't. You can go into the Logitech GHub software and turn the sensitivity up which actually makes the pedals feel a bit better
no trust me, you can only get 60% of the brakes when you press down your hardest, doesn’t even go the full way. in some games you can change some setting to make it go to 100% (not the physical throttle itself, however in game it makes 100% but irl you giving it your max [60%]. ) like project cars 1,2 and many more sim racing games

Also wanted to say that for the brake you can take out the rubber pad inside of the spring in pedal to make it not have that "stopping point" where it gets EXTREMELY hard to press. I wouldn't recommend using this wheel. Use the g29. It's the one that came out 5 years ago but it's COMPLETELY THE SAME WHEEL despite the truforce technology but only like 2 or 3 games support this technology. And it cots 250 bucks more
8:10 , there is a brake mod you can do. It's pretty simple all you do is take off the bottom (about 12 silver screws) then the one bolt holding the break pedal in place. There should be a small rubber piece in between the spring, all you have to do is take that out completely or cut it to your desired length, I took mine out completely and it feels like a real break, all you have to do is bolt on the spring with or without the rubber and put it back together. (should be visual videos that explain it better online)
you can switch out the rubber block for a softer more progressive one, makes the world of difference, I would not recommend removing completely, you end up with no break feeling then

Bought the g29 yesterday works well with forza horizon 4 but the vibration when you get off road is INSANE!!!!!!! Turn that all the way down, I last left it at 5 and it’s still crazy. Also if you can get one of those stands I think it’s far better for the support of the wheel, pedals and shifter.

I love this shifter. You're absolutely right, mounted to a desk it rocks. I also just bought this wheel but I got it untested... I'm hoping it'll be an upgrade from the 80$ Thrustmaster that has no force feedback. I also just bought the 3 pedal setup from Thrustmaster with their adapter. I'm currently using 2 sets of pedals to get 3 to work lol gotta fix that. Wish me luck on the wheel!! :p
Great vid, getting mine soon but I gotta disagree with you saying that a wheel isn’t competitive. From the times I’ve seen in many different games, wheel users smash controller users, especially is sim racing. It’s just not easy to pick up and be good right away unless you’re beast irl too.

Using a 250 gto wheel on a thrust master tx leather edition makes it so nice with 7 speed open gate box, drive fh4 everyday very awesome and drifting 575m maraleno very fun
The brake is so heavy to push, because in real life it is the same, you can't even push it all the way in, only like half-way, i'm telling you, and the ffb is so violent because if you're driving 120 m/h in real life, it is that violent and hard to hold the wheel...so that's it. Nice review btw
I know what it's like to brake hard and at high speed, it doesn't feel the same. If the pressure got stiff slightly later and was more progressive than I wouldn't have an issue with it. Doesn't feel like my actual car
I have used this for two days now and yes the pedals move a lot if you hit the brake hard I’m also on carpet.. easy fix tho I just sat 10 kgs of weights infront of the system

What did you had in mind? You mean in-game setup for wheel (like for controller) or third party configuration software for wheel? Can I setup it to balance racing / drifting, so I don't have to change configuration every time I want to do something else?
the pedals are like that because that's how they are in real life the clutch is firm and the brake gets stiffer as you push it in and the gas is smooth

I also read the book “Speed Secrets” by Ross Bentley. Everything has helped me look like I know what I’m doing behind the wheel of a real car and made me quicker than most people on the track. One thing I’d definitely recommend is to get an actual car wheel for this. You can find adapters on eBay. Get any wheel you want, but I recommend starting at 320 mm diameter (which most track/ Rallye cars have)The Logitech wheel has 280 mm. As for the wheel itself, it does feel like a toy compared to the more expensive Fanatec gear. It is also louder than the more expensive wheels. The shifter is known to lose its reverse gear sometimes. I changed it once. It is also quite small, smaller than a real car shift knob. The pedals don’t feel like car pedals at all and have less travel than car pedals. Neither the less, it is very fun to play racing games with it and sometimes it doesn’t even matter how big or how loud it is if you’re focusing on driving. The games become a lot more immersive when you use the wheel and the wheel also makes you feel the car and you can tell when it’s understeering and oversteering. You can learn a lot of driving techniques without risking your life or car and without spending money. I found that the lack of feedback in the pedals actually made me “listen to the car” more. Having no real feedback in the brake pedal for example trained my ear to listen to tire noises in order to gauge when the tires will lock up under braking. The more sensitive you become to the wheel’s feedback, the better you will feel the car in- game. I recommend playing Assetto Corsa if you want to improve your driving, because it has the most realistic vehicle dynamics simulation. After driving cars on the track in real life I can definitely tell it feels just like in Assetto Corsa (apart from the g- forces that make your neck sore and the adrenaline that makes you forget breathing).

You said FF on 100% is wild, i strongly disagree, on gear driven wheel (like one you have) FF is very weak (only like 2-4 Nm) compared to belt driven (10-15 Nm) or even direct drive (20+ Nm). Since you said FF is very strong i believe you haven't tried other two so you can't have objective view. I respect your personal opinion but still saying FF on this wheel is wild.

the pedal stiffness variations are equal to how an actual cars pedals feel. brakes are stiff, clutch gives resistance, gas is smooth and easy.

If you haven't tried it yourself then you won't understand, the feel of the pedal is really cheap

I kid you not, I found one of these wheels for 12 bucks at value village. It had a broken cable, but I fixed it and now it works. It’s also practically feels and looks new

Do you need the shifter or is that optional?
You don't need it to use the wheel, just adds immersion if you want to use a H Pattern

@@BSABD315 true the shifter is the worst of the whole setup. I’ve shifted I to the wrong gear countless times because it’s just not that good in fact I rate it a 5/10

Hey, nice video, i just want to put something out there.
You said FF on 100% is wild, i strongly disagree, on gear driven wheel (like one you have) FF is very weak (only like 2-4 Nm) compared to belt driven (10-15 Nm) or even direct drive (20+ Nm). Since you said FF is very strong i believe you haven't tried other two so you can't have objective view. I respect your personal opinion but still saying FF on this wheel is wild.
yeah the clutch is firm when your not on the gas you ease the gas off wile you ease the clutch in to shift
