    “Learning to walk before you run,” for sure. Learning the basics and simple drills you shared really helped me regain confidence in myself and the wheel. I went out there trying to drift like a pro and spun out for hours uncontrollably and almost quit out of frustration. Nailing those perfect 180’s and donuts feels really good and rewarding.

      Glad the videos helping 😎👊. When I changed from Controller to wheel it was so frustrating and a lesson learnt. It takes many hours of seat time but it will eventually kick in and will be very rewarding when it does 😎👊

    This is probably the most helpful video to help out new wheel players.
    Can we get an update for forza horizon 5? Please.
    Everybody always wants to just say “you need more practice”

    • @wheelspintv6864
      @wheelspintv6864  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Start in small increments 👍 can you do the controlled doughnut ? When you have mastered that then move on to the roundabout.. Difference between the 2 is in the car park you don't have to be accurate with lines its more throttle and steering , when you move onto the roundabout your having to manage the throttle and steering more precisely in order to stay on the road. Keep at it and I'm sure you will get the hang of it. It took me a while myself 👊

    • @RTxGamingStudio
      @RTxGamingStudio 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      WheelSpinTV i can do a controlled doughnut but i cant stat in the same circle everytime. Now im back to the parking lot and doing the controlled doughnut again. And i guess youre right doing it in the round about requires accuracy on both steering and gas pedal

    • @wheelspintv6864
      @wheelspintv6864  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Once you have the back out doing controlled doughnuts try to maintain the same steering but use the throttle to push the rear around making minor adjustments with the throttle. This will teach you better throttle control and allow you to be more accurate on the roundabout 👊 , The roundabout then teaches a mixture of both steering and throttle as you have a line to follow. First perfect the throttle control 👍. You will get it soon enough im sure 👊 it took me a good while to get use to it. Seat time and plenty of practice when time allows , good luck 👊

    So much better then the other drifting videos I’ve seen but I would like to ask if you could show us your steering more in detail. What I mean by this is that when drifting they do a lot of adjustments to the wheel but never explain why and how to use it properly which is my downfall when it comes to drifting so if u could make a vid on that, that would be 👍

    • @wheelspintv6864

      Hi and thanks for the comment. I am looking to follow up this Video with a part 2 im just very busy with my work at the moment and dont want to rush it out ,Quality over quantity 👍I will 100% keep this in mind when shooting the video. As a quick explanation , the adjustments are to either maintain the drift angle for the bend or set the car up for the next transition. Drifting is being in control of an out of control vehicle so you are constantly making adjustments to the throttle and steering inputs to maintain the drift and angle. In this Video I show you when handbraking that the wheel will naturally find the correct angle then its modulating the throttle and making slight steering adjustments to keep it going, the self steering part comes from the wheel set up, this is what real drift cars do and you need this to help you understand what your car is doing whilst your sliding. Please let me know if this helps or how you want me to go into more depth and I will include it into my next drift video. I appreciate the compliment, its great to know im helping people 👊 thankyou for watching..

    • @wheelspintv6864
      @wheelspintv6864  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When drifting and the back has started to grip up and you want more angle you would add more power and you would reduce the countersteering allowing the back to rotate more. If for instance your back has rotated to much, you would reduce power and add more counter steering.Also adding left foot braking to slow the car down when traveling to fast and/or deep into the corner That's why you are constantly making adjustments because you always need more or less grip and angle as your continuing your drift .It's a constant battle for more or less angle using your throttle and steering inputs to balance the drift. The when will come with plenty of seat time and experience 👊 Send me a PM on Xbox, URXP LDN . Im GMT time zone let's have a slide some time and I will give you some tips whilst following you in a drone 👍

    a not so powerful car with drift tune helps alot, i could manage to do some stuff. But then i tried Drift adventure story, the first chapter, and with that more powerful car i can do nothing. Before i struggled with the ferrari 488 drift on fortune island, since its a faster car and same, cant drift properly, i mean i guess you just have to know the car and how much throttle to apply, but having a faster car makes it harder.

    • @wheelspintv6864
      @wheelspintv6864  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      For sure the more powerful the more skill required . You will need to learn in something around 400bhp to perfect your skills before proceeding. I would suggest a Nissan Silvia Club Ks to learn in as they are a very smooth drifter. The likes of a Ferrari are mid engined and make drifting difficult for learners. Stuck with Front engine RWD with low power untill your drifting confidently 😎👊

Center spring setting maybe to high. It could also be a car setting. Maybe soften the rear a little on the springs/dampers and anti roll bar. It could also be a driver error. When coming out of the drift try to be very smooth with the throttle don't just go from on to off. Try coming off the throttle gently and see it this helps. Try it and let me know how you get on 😎👍

    • @wheelspintv6864
      @wheelspintv6864  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi and thanks for commenting, the G29 is different to my TMX .I've tried the same settings on both but for some reason my settings feel very stiff on the Logitech. FFB minimum scale ,Wheel damper scale, FFB, Center spring scale, steering linearity will all have an effect on your wheel "stiffness" . Try turning one down at a time untill you have got a nicer feeling. Wheel damper is the input and Center spring is the tugging on opposite lock, these 2 will have the most effect and would be where I start. I hope this helps.It did take me a good while to get mine how I wanted and i was actually going out in my car then adjusting 🤣 it will take time but stick with it 👍 offroading is another story. I don't really enjoy offroading on FH4 with the wheel, it Litterlay is a fight with the wheel lol. I feel I need a separate set up for offroading but as I don't do much I havent bothered. I tend to tune my offroad car to soak up the bumps etc via my springs and dampers. I preety much use my Hoonigan RS200 for every offroad weekly achievement.

    • @wheelspintv6864
      @wheelspintv6864  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Usually when your car loses traction at the rear the Wheel goes light then starts tugging the opposite way. If your fighting the wheel this shouldn't really effect the FFB but just make it harder to steer against the FFB as its working. I think your settings will need reducing down and then there won't be such an ON/OFF feeling with the Wheel when sliding, unless there's a issue with the wheel ? As that does sound odd. Maybe try turning them down and going from there.

      Hi and thanks for commenting 👊 , the Ferrari wheel settings I think are the same minus the FFB ones and wheel ratio is locked at 240*.You will have a sensitive setting which is how sensitive the wheel is to input. You can definitely still slide with it ,you will just have to self steer it when sliding as there's no FFB. Being locked at 240 it is easy enough though. Have fun and enjoy 👍

    Hello.i have the next level up wheel the ts-xw....while this setup does feel better then the current one I had, its way to snappy still....while drifting it will snap me off in the opposite direction all of a sudden.also when I go to drift opposite direction it just does not want to do it.on forza 7 I can get everything to work perfectly but just can't get horizon drift friendly or u just have to go against all realistic drift logic?please advice lol

      Hi there , I suspect being the better wheel it has better motors. I would suggest turning down center spring 5 points at a time and see if that stops. I would also think the FFB could be turned down a little . Unfortunately I don't have any experience with your wheel but being the better wheel I suspect its more powerful so some slight tweaking will hopefully improve it.. let me know how you get on 👊

    If we are on PC, what about "Steering Sensitivity"?

      I'm sorry I don't play on PC , I wouldn't be able to help there. Best thing I can say is tweak it untill its how you want it. Bit of trial and error 😎👊

    I’m thinking about buying handbrake, but I watched some videos and I see a lot of youtubers drifting without it. I have a shifter but don’t have good button for handbrake so I’ll be happy if you tell me what is yours. Otherwise unique video!

      Hi and thanks for tuning in 😎👊 I use the right paddle for the Handbrake and it works perfectly.

    Also on TMX. My main issue is when finishing the drift the car wants to over-correct and shoots me off into the opposite direction almost every single time.
    It also happens when trying to do the donuts. As soon as you start to counter-steer the car just follows and goes in the opposite direction. I’m doing figure 8’s instead of donuts. Very frustrated with this wheel. On controller I’m top 1% on drift mountain smh.

      Thanks for commenting. I hope this can help. The wheel will naturally follow the cointersteering angle reqd and we will only need input adjustments and throttle modulation to maintain the drift. If you car is shooting off in the opposite direction when straightening i think this will either be to much throttle or over correction or even Wheel/car settings. Have you used my settings ? And car tune up ? If your inputs are correct and smooth then the straightening of the car should also be unless the car itself could do with some tuning.it maybe a little to stiff on the Anti roll bars and springs/damping. Soften the car up a little and see if this helps. If your using my set up on wheel and car this shouldn't happen unless its a Driver error. It can be frustrating when going to a wheel. Its a much harder technique to perfect but is worth it in the end. It will come with seat time and experience, stick with it im sure you will get it 👍

      As I'm reading your message again. When doing a doughnut your not using enough throttle and too much steering or both. There is a fine balance which will come with seat time. Try doing just doughnuts this will teach you that balance with throttle and steering inputs 👍

      @@wheelspintv6864 thanks for the response. I practiced for hours and hours. It seems that when i’m in the middle of a drift, the tension on the wheel just goes away while i’m countersteering and the car just straightens itself out. Although logically this would mean lack of throttle. But it seems that even when i’m giving throttle the tension cuts off and that’s why it sends me flying in the other direction. It’s hard to explain. I’m starting to wonder if there might even be a problem with my wheel. I uploaded a 20 sec clip to show what i mean:

      Hi thanks for commenting , on watching this your initial catch is great but at the time @0:18 you needed more power to push that back end out. The wheel is getting lighter because the car wants to straighten up 👍add a little more power at this point or less angle to move the back end out further.I think its at this point your wheel is getting lighter ?

    I've got the same settings and my tmx isn't trying to center or steer itself, Is it something in the Thrustmaster control panel?
    Edit : Now it centers but it doesn't go to the other side

      It could possibly be yes , the settings on PC are in the control panel and Wheel settings on game. Try them both
