A day on Mt. Baldy; So Cal’s favorite mountain.

Mount San Antonio (Mount Baldy) Ski Hut trail and devils backbone loop is hands-down one of the best in Southern California. It’s the highest peak in the San Gabriel Mountains at 10,064, and its tree-free summit provides incredible panoramic views of almost every single kind of SoCal terrain - from desert to city to mountains. This is my favorite training mountain for its strenuous ascent over 4 miles that you can do in a 1/2 day.
It’s a local mountain with big mountain feel for Southern California.
