Took you long enough to get Raphy back on the show Mike! (Obviously not your fault) We're in the draft phase already lol we need as much Raph as possible
The same thing they’re doing right now only he’d be playing behind someone with a lot more upside. I think this is pretty far away as to not be worth worrying about in any meaningful way right now. But it isn’t that complicated. They need to add talent and they can’t let past decisions color that too much. If they think Harper is that dude, they must have confidence in their conviction.
i like the idea of getting harper and moving off of ant. if scoot really shows improvement he can start but if harper starts well he should start and the team should push the best bench in the league approach and run scoot deni and clingan with shooters. then the next step after that should be to trade jerami, a young player and picks for a superstar forward
Don't draft a PG for the sake of offense..there are different type of offense that don't necessarily need to start with point guard..Draft wing that has the ability to create; Scoot becoming a key role player is totally fine.
The sad part we have won too many games to get any of these guys 😢.. needed to totally rebuild.. needed to be in the bottom 3 no chance for that looking like we finish between 4 to 6 worst record not good
If the Blazers finish with the 4th worst record in the league, they’ll have 48% chance of getting a top 4 pick and a 12.5% chance at No. 1. You can make stuff up or do some basic math.
@@LockedOnBlazers sure but the goal was to get the best odds and the bottom 3 get the best odds??? Finishing 4 to 6 worst record is 100% tanking wrong and playing vets 35 plus minutes even worse, but sure we could get lucky and still get a top 2 pick but not looking as good as going into the season??
I disagree with that premise. To say "take best player no matter what" is to say that NOBODY on the roster is worth keeping, and I simply don't agree with that. Clingan, Tou, Avdija, Sharpe are absolutely a future core to not draft over.
Nobody on the roster is worth dictating top tier draft choices. Passing on elite prospects because Toumani Camara plays a similar position is a good way to lose your job.
I dont get why he's cool drafting a guy over Scoot but doesn't say the same about Sharpe. Shapre has done nothing in 3 years either other than every so often have a few good games. He can't shoot, and can't dribble by anyone. Really if BPA is a PG or SG Blazers should take him.
Let’s go draft a point guard like Harper if he’s available
🧎
Harper can be a 1,2, or 3. 1 is probably best for him though
First things first...a PRODUCTIVE trade
Great one, Mike. Thanks!

We’re working on it. Not always easy but we’re aiming for many more in the new year.
We need talent. Scoot aint the guy and i have some deep reservations about sharpe.
Raphie!!!
Dylan Harper looks unbelievably good
once the Blazers draft Harper, what do they do with Scoot?
@@jamesdonaldson7396 ship him off like the Lakers did with D’Lo for Brook Lopez

@@LockedOnBlazers as a Blazer fan, all there really is to worry about is the future
I hear ya. I guess I am recommending broad worries and not narrow ones? Hahaha
He'd probably be a cheap back up

I really don’t want to give up on Scoot just yet . If we trade Ant and he starts having the ball in his hands more he can thrive
Wish you would have asked about Asa Newell.

I want Scoot to succeed, but if somebody offers a '25 first for him, I'd take it in a heartbeat.

Yes, but building culture and fighting spirit worth more than any small draft pick increase (assuming lucky)
@ Chauncey billups and Jody when gone will be very lucky then we can talk culture

Okay, doom on, brother.
Drafting a PG would be a crime. If we are tanking then we dound let Deni start PG like SA did for Sochan.
When Harper is on the board, no it’s not
We need Harper/Bailey more than we need Flagg.
I don’t think they *need* anything other than a very, very good player. Whatever package that comes in, so be it.

His size and athleticism give him a higher ceiling. Also Sharpe has had a lot more flashes than Scoot, sadly.
