One thing I wish Garrett understood better about his audience is that we are all here for the journey not just the end result. Cleets comment about the video being "trash" because the cars didn't go down as planned is not true. I think we all love the videos reguardless of the outcome because the teams energy is always there and always positive even on days like these where it is such a tough battle. Keep your heads up boys. Whether you are blowing tires off at the tree or running deep sixes, we are here for it all.

I agree. I just enjoy watching his in channel in general but seeing the boys try and fail is OK too because we all fail at times so it feels relatable because if you have ever owned a racecar you know it's a constant struggle. 🤪

James is such a gem. The guy has fuel for blood. All the guys are obviously about that life but James is on a different level. He just loves every part of it and is so tuned in. He loves talking to the crowd, he loves talking to fellow competitors and youtubers about their cars, he loves problem solving, he loves analysing the numbers. He's just a pure unadulterated car guy. Freaking love it
whats crazy is when he first came on so many people hated on him and thought cleetus was wrong for bringing him on board... hes turned out to be one of the fan favorites.

You don't know how much he was already doing, so that might overstating it.
Dont judge a video based on winning races or breaking previous records. What keeps viewer returning is the interactions and respect shared between the team members, overcoming adversities, achieving goals in the face of potential failure and having respect for those your competing against. This may sound like family values, but it's a pleasure to watch these videos and feel your support in some way is helping the team.

Cleetus, you probably won't see this but I really hope you do. My heart never sunk so fast seeing you with hoodie strings lean down near the rotating assembly of your engine. If you're gonna work around stuff in a hoodie, cut the strings off brother. Be safe and I hope you and the family are well.

Had a buddy mechanic who grew out his hair and never tied it up, just let it fabio out.. well one day he was under a car laying on the ground trying to find some noise customer was complaining about. We asked him if he wanted any mickey deez and remember seeing him under the car looking back and hus hair was blowing every which a way. We get back from mcdonalds and police, ambulance and fire depr are all in the shop lot.. they told us to go home for the day due to an accident and will tell us the details later. Turned out the boss man heard a loud wack in the back, when he went to check it out cuz he thought everybody was gone. He found buddy under the car with the motor revving 4k rpm which is a no no to do anyway. But looked under the lift and his face was gone. Just a bloody stump with a little hair still attached.. said his face and rest of his hair were still flapping around on the driveshaft at 4000+rpm.. dude died on the spot. Said got knocked out from the impact and broke his skull same time so he didnt even know what happened or feel any pain. Just wack, dead..
@@Z-Ack terribly sorry to hear you had to go through that. PTO shafts scare the hell out of me. Had a farmer get his leg taken clean off by one because his bootlace wasn't tied and he was climbing up the 3-point. Had to use some rusty bailing wire and pliers to make a tourniquet to get himself to the hospital. Freak shit happens all too often. Be safe brother.

Known engine with sorted problems VS one that was just released. Age does matter with a platform, and they had pushed the Godzilla far past what I think even the Godzilla designers expected it to. Cleeter is the best at testing the limits of parts!!
Godzilla and coyote both use the same bellhousing stud pattern. Far as I can tell the Godzilla is an honorary modular engine.
Wasn't too long ago it was a beat up clunker laying in the shop parking lot.

Someone finally said it... NHRA Top Fuel and Funny Car are awesome and all, but my all-time favorite classes to watch are Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle.

Zak and Tye are just the best personalities on the channel and as I always say “please put a mic on James” he is too softly spoken to hear most of the time.

Not many years ago people said 5s in a 4banger would be close to impossible, now we're seeing several of them run low 6s and high 5s fairly consistently in competition. It's insane how much progression there still is in drag racing.

I wouldn't say mullet struggled Pete is just swinging for some faster short track hits, you weren't going to run anything out anyway only so much you can expect from a stock suspension location 3400 lb elco bud 😂.. and 635 at 233 is getting pretty close to that limit chassis wise i believe..
