Hey Derek. Me and my grandfather used to watch you and he loved your work and your sense of humor. He was not one to laugh but he always laughed when he would watch you because of your humor and that says a lot. He sadly passed away back in 2021 due to lung failure because of Covid. He served our country for 5 years in the Air Force from 54-59 while he was stationed in California then got a job at fisher body where he built cars for 39 years. He mainly owned Chevy trucks and Oldsmobiles. His last vehicle was a 2003 Silverado 2500 duramax with only 40,000 miles when he sold back in 2019. It never saw snow or rain and it was always waxed 3 times a year and the seats were always conditioned twice a year. He had it tuned to about 700hp and a little over 1,000 ftq and it still got 18mpg on the highway. It was so powerful you could do 4 wheel drive burnouts in it. Anyway I wanted to tell you this because I know you love the veterans and my grandfather is one of them and he was a huge fan of yours. It took me a while to say all this because I was really close with him, especially after my grandmother passed away but it feels good knowing that you finally know about him now and I’m glad you do because he always wanted to meet you.
