I own a gen 3 Hayabusa. It is my 6th Hayabusa, and by far the most usable. It's about way more than just speed. These bikes are incredibly comfortable, supremely stable at speed, and pretty frugal too (I get 50mpg on a run). The introduction of cruise control makes it way easier on a long run, and the plethora of electric wizardry means you can tailor the bike to suit your individual needs. What a machine.
Suzuki did make a naked Hayabusa. It’s called the B-King. Unfortunately it didn’t sell well at all here in the States. Also the 2023 Hayabusa weighs in at 582 pounds with a full tank of gas, so you’re off by about 100 pounds. Yeah she’s a heavy girl but she moves good. You can drop about 40 pounds or a little more by doing a full exhaust and you can drop another 10ish pounds by doing a battery upgrade. There are a few other things you can do to drop a little more weight but those two are probably the easiest and biggest improvements.
I just looked up google it said 500 so whatever close enough
582 is weight ….just the actual number.
HardCity, have you tried test riding the Triumph Rocket 3 R? It's not as fast as the busa, but I think that the new 2024 Rocket 3R Storm should theoretically be able to hit 180 mph with the new improved 16 horse power increase Alot of people like stretching the rear by 4" or more. All that does is simply mess up the engineering of the bike. If the Japanese thought, through their engineering prowess, that the bike would do alot better stretched they would have made it longer to make up for the artificial stretching that people do to the bike...lol...The ONLY thing that bike would need is an exhaust(either brocks or Yoshimura).
😆 great review...I just got mine yesterday and your comments are really valid. I have especially enjoyed your comments about highway drivers 🤣
This bike, this bike, this bike - I love it too. I test ride one last year and since then I’ve been kicking myself that all these years I’ve never ridden one. This year or next year latest I’ll have one. Planning UK to South France, then Sardinia, then Sicily, then South Italy and back home - can’t wait. Even if I have to whack it on my credit card then sell it after my journey …
They made a naked hayabusa. It was called the Bking. Imported for 2 years in the US. I had a 2008. It was a fantastic street bike. I never should have sold it. I need to rack up some more miles on my N1K. Next bike will be the 3rd Gen Busa. Waiting to see what Suzuki does with the VVT they filed a patent for.
Bought my 23 in March. Love this motorcycle!! Went with the White n Blue 😁
If you love motorcycles you have to love the Busa. Fast, comfortable, reliable and did I forget to mention, awesome.
Love your youthful enthusiasm toward the Gen 3 Busa. Unfortunately ao many young riders like yourself walk right past a Busa cause of its overall size and looks. If only all of them had a chance to take one out and run one through its paces. I bet a majority of them would have a different view of them. I just put a deposit on a 2024 which I should take delivery of in Decemeber sometime. I had one new in 2000 and I have come full circle. Coming off my Triumph Speed Triple 1200rr is going to be so relaxing and a rush at the same time. Great video, well done.
I’m not a young rider but ok. 😂
I owned 2 Hayabusas, 2004, 2008, the later being 4-2-1 exhaust and dyno tuned, was my favorite. I sold it for a cruiser (M109r) which was a horrible experience. I just got back into riding, and my ability to ride a Hayabusa being 6’4” and 50 sadly disappointed me. Right next to the busa was a zx14. The ZX14r is much more comfortable, and oddly enough, quicker than my busa. I think the only reason is the increase displacement and my 260lb frame. I give all the probs for anyone that is shorter side to grab a busa. It’s amazing, as much as my ZX14r. My busa saw 191. That was it. Anyone buying one needs to do the 4-2-1 exhaust and ship out the for the programming. The issue with theses bikes is the emissions are to stringent and runs too hot.
We live in the same city. Who did you buy your Hayabusa from?
How hard will it be to back this bike into my garage (15% slope) with assistance of my hip? I can do my 21 Africa Twin AS DCT with crash bars and center stand (560 lbs?) pretty easy (I work out 😂). Will the extra 22lbs feel like more?? Thanks 😊
14:39 A hayabusa naked bike is called suzuki B King....I wish it was not discontinued
I'm trying to talk my wife into accepting me getting a Busa. The best argument so far has been "don't hammer the throttle and you won't go into outer space"...never mind this bike capabilities to leave the atmosphere. 😂😂😂😂
Try my method, tell her just one more to the stable, and I will be satisfied. You can start by buying her a new car. Did that 3 months ago.
I’m the wife who convinced my hubs to let me get one! He put a deposit on it today! I can’t freaking wait!!!
The video is up!!!!!! 💯
1. It's a 1340cc
2. They first came out in 1999
Smooth ,confort, fast , stable ♥️♥️♥️♥️what else !
Mine in 2months I hope ,can’t wait more 😢😢😢😢😢
Hi from Algeria 🇩🇿
@hardcity raindrops
I’m 50 now, have ridden a 250, a 600, and now ride a 2021 Ninja 1000SX for its power, sporty looks, and “bad back” comfort.
I know it’s no Busa (I’m not out for speed records or ego battles) and the Ninja is a great bike, has awesome comforts and I can be happy with it for a long time, but I love what I’ve heard about the Busa (especially Gen 3’s).
You mentioned how the Suzuki is not a “track” bike but better as long, comfortable tourer, so I have two questions for you.
First, how do you feel the Hayabusa would work as a daily ride, in city traffic or short trips around town?
Secondly, not knowing anyone like you so kind to let me borrow their Hayabusa, and not finding any comparisons online between these two “sport tourers” (probably simply due to the legend of the Hayabusa), I wonder if you’ve had a chance to ride a 1000SX, or if not, and could get your hands on one for a test ride, could you make a comparison? (I’m not in Texas, but hit me up if you’re ever in Utah and I’ll let you ride mine).
Busas make gr8 daily commuters as long as it's not city block riding all the way.
Great bike,,reminds me of a 57 chevy i once owned.
I can see the similarities😂
Haha mashallah nice to see you having fun but you forgot to check cruise control but yeah This thing something else
Did you literally called me a marshmallow? Lol
@@HardcityRaindrops not marshmallow it's "MashaAllah" it's Arabic word mean power of God and its a good word and no need to type lol i know you get angry after misunderstanding i know how you Americans talk you guys don't straight forward let me give you piece of advice say whatever in your heart don't think what next person will think ok what is in your heart it should be on your tongue and don't eat pork if you wanna be a successful see i just said what's in my heart I'm stuck in a generation where loyalty is just a tattoo, happiness is just a myth and being fake is a lifestyle so honesty is the best policy
Will your welcome and you should have driven it like its yours. And the exhaust is my first upgrade
I’m pretty sure I hit 195 lol
Needs a bit more noise maybe a akrapovic, yoshimura, Exhaust might make it more exciting
The MT 09 WITH THE AKRAPOVIC RACING LINE EXHAUST SOUNDS THE BEST
There was a short lived naked bike with a Hayabusa engine called the Suzuki B-King . And the unusual custom Kawasaki ZRX mounted with a Hayabusa engine and called a Kawabusa.
Mate I own a 2019 Gen 2.My dream bike.Every time i ride it I feel like you do albeit you on the slightly refined Gen 3.There are plenty of haters of the Hayabusa. There may now be "faster" bikes but until you ride one you will never know that there is Hayabusa and then there's everything else.Oh and a small thing but mine doesnt go into first gear easy all the time.Small price to pay.Great video btw.Saying it how it is.
Oh and mine has a full Yoshi 4 into 2 to 1 with R77 can.Sounds bloody wicked.
What gloves do you have?

Is 1st gear not one down?
On this bike it is, on my my bikes its not, mine is GP shift.
I'm getting that bike in January 25th anniversary version
I just purchased my 25th anniversary Saturday. Will be a few weeks before I take possession of it. They're doing a flash, tune, full Yoshimura exhaust for free (part of the deal) before it leaves the dealership. Can't wait to get it.
@@2010ariez Very good, what type of exhaust are you getting at2 or r77 or different?
@krispolir They recommended the AT2 so that's what we went with.
@@2010ariezNice 👍
It's closer to 582 p0ounds wet but yeah. Nice review very positive. I want one too.... I can get one toooo....... heart over mind right? can't decide.
bro didnt even use the 6th gear damn thats some bike
Maybe learn to count then. I had the bike at 190 pretty hard to do that in 5th gear
@@HardcityRaindrops 190? when. Plus I was complementing the bike for the way it was cruising at high speeds on 5th gear.
The amount of money for a H2 vs the hayabusa if you out the dollar difference into the hayabusa you will smoke everything on the road
Excellent Review Mate …Did You Buy One 🙌🙌?
Yep still the king!
Noice
i can tell that you'd never be able to tolerate the clowns where i live. i thought that i had issues...
I guess the Busa is still the king? I know I feel like I own the highway when I ride my Busa.
I would go and buy one today, if my wife let me... :(
Guess the wife is the boss? Mine don't care what I get because I pay for it.
🇯🇵 bike not Suzuki yes but is 🇯🇵
yes yes and yes ,and the analog rpm and tachimeter and shit ,no the modern shit tablet
you won't go into outer space lol
Lies I’ve been there.
@@HardcityRaindrops 🙌
Suzuki is a Toyota version of cars. Of course it’s reliable. 😂
Those people on the road are not the dummies you are driving more than twice the speed limit you’re endangering everybody on the road by driving like that you’re the one that makes the statistics so high
Ok Karen.
Focus on the bike riding and review instead of cussing people on road.
awww karen is upset i yelled the poor idiot driver, that could potentially kill a biker because they’re driving is so ridiculously stupid. 😂😂😂😂 You’re the people’s champ over here. 👏🏻
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
