No need for a custom bracket. To allow you to see the screen while vlogging on a tripod, get the SMALLRIG® DSLR Camcorder Safety NATO Rail 150mm www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OSW57ZY/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It costs only $19. When the end is attached to the tripod socket, it moves the tripod socket to the left of the camera. This then allows you to flip down the screen and see it fully when vlogging. This leaves the battery cover free for access. The Canon M5 is light enough to allow you to easily vlog with the tripod socket shifted to the left of the camera. The Smallrig rail also allows me to attach an external microphone to the side of the camera, allowing me to attach a flash head to the flash shoe so that I can take photos and videos with the camera.

Everyone is complaining about this camera. All the other M series cameras have been made with vloggers in mind. I think this was intended to be more for photographers. I take photos. It looks interesting specs wise and the screen is what vloggers seem to be asking for with a viewfinder... I don't do much video so my opinion that 4k is overrated is irrelevant. But again Canon gives and takes in each camera body so you've got to choose what is important to you. We can dream of the day they give us that perfect camera.
Ditch the gorillapod and use it hand held or if you want the wide shot you get from the gorilla pod use a 11-22mm efm lens. It it a perfect design for Vlogging as you dont have the sideways eye shift you do when you have a side flip out screen. If you want to vlog on a tripod you have the wrong camera for the job, a canon M3 would have worked for you cheaper and more effectivly.
I will be looking into that lens! Thank you As for the M3 I don't like the internal microphone quality for everyday vlogging, I use the Rode Mic Pro and for that I need to be able to plug-in a mic. Great idea, id been searching to see if I could find one of these before actually purchasing the camera but seems pretty simple to make! Thanks a lot for the insight, looking forward to following your journey, especially as I'm making the jump to start too! Good luck
Hey Thanks Matthew!! I appreciate the feedback. Good luck as you start your journey, and make sure to update me if you develop something that makes daily vlogging a little bit easier and better :D Enjoy the grind!!
As far as i can see there's both good and bad things about the screen: When you vlog with the M5 handheld (without a tripod) it looks like you are looking into the lens when you look at the screen, which is what you want. But if you do it with a camera that has the screen to the side, it looks like you're talking to someone who is standing off to the side of the camera instead of talking to the audience. Try it without the sunglasses and you'll see what i mean. About the metal plate it looks like it would make the camera fall over when the tripod is placed on a table or something. If you did a square metal frame instead so the camera would sit in the center on top of it and the screen would flip down into the opening, it would be balanced. Weird looking maybe, but balanced. Like the steve buscemi of tripods:)
Very good point! That looking at the screen type of dialogue is precisely why I wear sunglasses. It enables me to check the screen to make sure that my shot is still framed the way I want it to be without having that weird "where is he looking" moment. And it's crazy you mentioned a metal frame. Because that was my initial idea for the adapter, and I may still make one someday, but for travel purposes this adapter has been ideal. And as long as you take care to set up the tripod with 2 legs on the side where the camera sits off-centre then it is very well balanced and hasn't caused me any difficulties.... yet anyway! Thank you for the comment!
Ok, if it works with the smaller one then there's no reason to make a bigger frame i guess. But thanks for the video, i'll try making something similar for my own M5 when i get it.
Look on EBay for "Extension Mount Bracket Tripod" for a ready made tripod lateral extension bracket. The brackets includes sevreral choices for offset distance, either left or right side.
I know it might be a picky thing. I have an Eos-M .. But why not just make the adapter plate face the other direction so you can get to the battery and memory card slot if it is an issue. Is there something preventing that? I love my EOS-M with the Tragic Lantern even if it is by todays standards ancient.
OH MY GOSH thank you so much!!! I want this camera but the screen flipping down was making me think twice but now with this invention I can get the camera and be able to mount it and VLOG!!!!thank you thank you thank you!!!! And cool channel!!!!
Hey Thank you very much! It was a very simple fix, once I had all the materials and it makes it the best vlogging camera out there right now!! Enjoy it when you make it, and let me know how it turns out :)
Nice fix. Unfortunately, as someone who is not a vlogger, I don't consider that to be one of the bigger problems with the M5. I really want to like it, but the PDAF speed is underwhelming compared to the competition and Canon will never invest in developing quality non-EF glass. One unrelated note: don't put a loud musical introduction on your videos. Make sure that the audio level is closer to your voice level. Right now, TH-cam is "normalizing the audio" by applying -11.2dB to your video. The intro is fine, but I can barely hear you on my laptop during your review (when I dock it, I can because of the external speakers plugged into the dock.)
Great solution! Canon should have just put a plate for the mount into the camera kit. I'm thinking that it might be easier to see the screen while it is down than up, because up has the mic problem, no? Also, usually the camera is above eye level? So ya... let's just have it go to the side and twist up and down. But your solution might be the best of all. GJ!
+Ergin Artesia thank you so much!!! I have loved this little plate. Probably the best thing I’ve ever made 😎 and I will be doing a video of the m6 problem in the next week. So keep an eye out for that one, having the screen up is actually worse! (In my opinion haha) because of, you called it, the mic! There is no smart reason for the screen to not flip to the side... it actually hurts me to believe that Canon could do something so silly and not make the screen flip out to the side. It’s been a major point of contention for me as you can probably tell haha Thanks for the feedback and input!!
I am a newbie to camera so I bought this camera but now I need your do-hickey but there is no way I can make the attachment. Any chance you will be selling this? Also, I can't figure out how to vlog using this camera with a remote (even with the Canon app since it only takes pictures). Can you help advise please? Thanks!
Welcome to the awesome family that is the EOS M5 crew :) it is great to have you join! Unfortunately I haven't been able to make any extras... yet. I have been using this everyday now since Jan.1 and I have a few changes I would make to ensure that it is easily adaptable to any lens and mount with Canon. I will definitely let you, and everyone, know if I get the chance to make a bunch and give away some :) Thanks for your comment! I really hope I can get some made 🤞
+Kuya Jep Eats & Travels it’s good. You still have to be careful with how you set up the tripod but all it requires is putting 2 legs of the tripod under the majority of the camera (I hope that makes sense). And as long as I’ve been careful setting up the camera I have never had it fall
Im holding out for the next generation. Hopefully they will add a flip to the side screen and abit of a bigger battery. Also an evf built in. As someone that uses my camera (80d) pretty much only for photography I couldnt be without a viewfinder.
+AdirondackBadger thank you very much! My camera has fallen a few times BUT that was my carelessness or urgency setting it up more than anything else. When I take a little bit of time to make sure it's balanced it works great!
Haha I've been looking above and beyond for something like this! :)) I really thought you has your hands on the next model. I heard rumors that they will be releasing the next one by the end of February but from the articles I've read, the screen is going to flip up which sucks because of the mic in the hotshoe. Hopefully they put it onto the side
Jam Paguntalan haha I am glad you found my video then :P and I have heard that they will be releasing the M6 very soon. But I haven't read that the screen will flip up!?! 😡😡😡 Canon really doesn't want to make a perfect camera if they do that! Especially (like you pointed out) the microphone will be perfectly in the way!! Until then I will continue making my own adapters to fix Canon's mistakes haha
*had your hands (type from my original comment) Yeah. I was reading an article regarding that rumor and I was really looking for the word "articulating screen" because that's really the selling point but what the article stated is that it will have a screen that's similar to the one in the m3. They're really digging a hole for themselves :))) They just don't know how to listen. Well, I do hope that that rumor will not be wholly right because we do need a fully articulating screen. That's the same thing with Sony. They can easily have a screen that's fully articulating but they just don't want to give the best features in one camera. They have to stretch the line-up so they will fully spec out the most recent one- hence the most expensive in their line up.
I like your fix but given that I'm not a welder nor should I ever be set loose with anything sharp enough to cut or melt through metal I had to come up with another fix for the dropdown screen. For me I went with putting a Manfrotto spigot adaptor (013 and 119 combined) between the camera and tripod/handgrip. (I sprayed the brass adaptor black to make it less conspicuous). That means there's a narrow vertical blind spot down the center of the LCD screen but the majority of the screen remains visible which is more than enough when vlogging. I also have the option of placing a small ball mount between the adaptor and tripod If I want more flexibility with angling the camera as I use the solid Manfrotto mini table top tripod which doesn't have the bend-ability of the Joby. I much prefer having the dropdown screen as my eyes appear to be looking directly into the camera lens rather than to the side or above the camera as happens with alternate placements of the LCD screen, top OR side (good try on that call by the way).
hahaha I loved reading your comment!! And thanks for sharing your solution. Question for you... with the screen folding down do you ever find that it looks like you are looking under the camera to see the screen? Like your head and neck duck to see yourself? What is your solution for that? And I did try my best to call it but I was flat out wrong and Canon made it even worse (clearly just my opinion ;)
smahatma I bought the hoodie in Salzburg back in November. I don't remember the name of the store but it was just a sporting goods store in a mall close to where I was staying. I think that's the best piece of information I can give you about my hoodie haha
Creative. You should check out the new M6. Same specs, just no viewfinder, so the screen flips up. They'll also sell an attachment viewfinder for it as well, if you really need it for photos.
Thank you! I have checked out a few reviews of the M6 and while I am a fan of them removing the viewfinder I do not like the screen flipping up. If you want quality audio in your videos (bad audio is worse than bad video) then you need an external mic... and now with it flipping up that is no longer convenient or easy to do without a massive rig adapter to off centre the mic. I wish they would follow the G5X or 70D screen idea and seeing that they already use a perfect side flipping screen on other models and I don't know why they can't use it on the M-series cameras?!?
Yeah i hear ya, the side screen would have been ideal, I'm sure theres a technical reason for them not being to do it, I doubt they want to be dicks about it. I just ordered my M5, really excited about it
yes yes yes. companies surely know how to do a thing and if not just wait to release the product that should have been. sony with the a6500. nikon with the d610. apple with the iphone se, and the macbook pro re-release with the kaby lake chips (come on, such a money grabbing thing to release with the older processors). m5 is a little over priced for £1000 that's not weathersealed. needs more lenses in the lineup, ideally usb charging and at least some 4k ability but it's got a lot of it right. the layout seems intuitive and the sensor af tech is spot on.
so true! and while the M5 is not weather "proof" I have been using it almost exclusively outside this winter in essentially every type of condition it has been incredible and never once (... yet) let me down! Other than the screen that is
Thanks for the review. And thanks for the shout out!! On camera, no less!! :-) I was logged into the wrong TH-cam account, tho. Should have been logged in as my online persona (yes, Anthony Brown and YoAntny are the same guy). Agree with you on so many points in your review. Why...WHY CANON??? Why does the shutter button have to take a picture in video mode?? Why couldn't you reassign that function like you can with every other friggin' button on the camera??? That would make starting the recording so much easier. I have gotten pretty good at finding the record button from the front of the camera using the little bump right above it, though. The flip-down screen - major pain point for so many people. I actually don't mind it, though. Especially since looking below the camera is less noticeable (but still noticeable) than to the side. I certainly understand the frustration, I guess it just doesn't bother me as much. My adapter is remarkably similar (and equally simple) as yours. Just painted it..as soon as the paint dries maybe I'll post my design. :-) Keep up the good work! Love your videos. YoAntny
I am glad we share many of the same ideas. Great minds think alike right?! My other big complaint (that I cut out due to length) is that proximity sensor on the viewfinder! I really really wish I could turn that off, have you had any troubles with that? It's so sensitive that even if snow or a shadow cross it I lose all video on the flip down screen?! Super frustrating! Definitely post a video with the adapter you made! Maybe we can start a trend and get the word out :) And huge thank you for all the feedback and comments! I love the dialogue! Thanks YoAntny!
YES!! That drives me nuts sometimes. And one more thing...(don't get me wrong, I LOVE this camera!! Probably my favorite one ever. But there are always improvements to be made, right??)...and I may do an entire video on just this one thing, and it drives me nuts WAY more than the flip-down screen bothers others). The dial directions (the Main Dial, the Quick Control Dial, and the back Control Dial). Too complicated to explain here, I'll have to do a video about it, but the bottom line is you can get them to all work the same way. And they CHANGE. It's weird.
Amazing! Thanks for letting me know! I hope it treats you as well as mine has treated me (160+ days of consistent use and no problems!) Enjoy the bracket 👍
it is flipped down because it looks more natural to look down. It does not seem like you are breaking eye contact with the lens like there is with watching to the side.
+Joey Koningsbruggen good point. I have experimented with it in my hand and without sunglasses on and it was definitely noticeable that I was looking at the screen and not the lens. Which is why I still continue to wear sunglasses the majority of the time. I think the benefit of having the screen flip out to the side outweighs the benefit of looking down. Do you have an M5? What do you think?
wow! you have amazing production value! you deserve so many more subscribers! I want to get into making vlogs/mini movies but that requires me to learn premier pro which I have no idea how to ;-;
Damn I wish I could buy such thingie somewhere. For now what I did was cut off the bubbly thing off my gorilla pod... Now I can flip down the screen (around 90% of it's original position), but the legs of the tripod are still hiding the screen. I think giving up filming yourself on a tripod is the only solution maybe...
Cutting off the bubble level was my first idea as well! But then I decided to try and make this adapter, and it has been working great! I still haven't had any issues with it and I can see myself just fine now (still not as good as flipping out to the side but close). I really really hope this problem gets a more permanent fix one day soon. Until then, I would suggest making an adapter like mine. And let me know if you do, and how it works out :D
Sorry!! No no I have not stopped the vlog... it was an intentional impromptu lag. It will all make sense in the next few days. I promise you :) Thank you for the concern!!
Thanks for sharing! I was considering getting this, but I'm still not sold on the evf. Im also into photography, but the evf just doesn't feel responsive enough to me. :( Great video!
Hey Kyle! The EVF is very quick and very well made, I have used it many times but when I am shooting video I disable it because I use the screen almost exclusively. But I must say that I have been very surprised with how well the EVF works when I was doing photography with it! Thanks for the comment :)
hey, nice fix man! can someone provide a link to a ready a bracket sold online that will do the job and will fit perfectly i.e. won't stick out to the side?
OMG! Thanks so much for your sharing. I am having the same problem with the OLYMPUS PEN E-PL7. What a genius idea! But I wonder if I still have a chance to buy the adapter thingT^T
I high encourage you to try and make your own adapter if you can. Or even stop by a machine shop and ask if they can cut you a piece the size you need from scraps they have there. This adapter has changed the game for me :) Good luck!!!
Thank you for always commenting! It makes it just that much more worth it for me :) and that is definitely a paradox... but how about if I can get to travel out to your neck of the woods one day you make a special guest appearance on the vlog?!? I will always try my best to reply to all the comments... and especially your. That is my guarantee to you :)
Diego Daily Vlog haha thank you! Now that I'm travelling I can't mass produce any adapters but I have been trying to convince my dad to make some! Maybe I can persuade him to make a few for you guys :P
It cannot flip to the side as then it could not flip up and down which are the main purposes without adding extra complexity. Remember the screen needs its wires.
Hey your prediction about why they put the blogging screen down is because the newly released M6 is facing upwards!! LOL! Freaking Canon! The other problem you didn't mention here for v-logging is that you can not put the camera in a corner and go stand somewhere and remotely trigger video with Wifi! Canon Disabled video trigger via WiFi in this camera! Now that's even stupider than a downward facing screen!!
I'm happy you mentioned that! I actually did have that in my first draft of this episode but decided to delete it so that it wasn't 20 minutes long haha and I couldn't agree with you more if I tried! The screen flipping up is even worse than flipping down... and I think flipping down is a pretty outrageous choice as it is haha please please please Canon make this screen flip out to the side like the G5X, 70D, or any other screens that you have already developed that do so!
+Dear Angel thank you! I will be flying back home in a week (I haven't been home since Dec.31!!) and I may be able to make a few extra ones to give away. *I also have a few ideas on how to improve it* I'll keep you posted if that pans out the way I've planned it 👍🏽 thanks for the comment!!
Thanks for the love!! I will be getting home soon and will hopefully be trying to make a bunch of these.... the interest has been great. I'll keep you posted. Stay tuned for further details ;)
Cilla Latte thanks for the love and the sub 😎 I will continue asking and maybe we will be able to make a handful so people can use the camera to its full-er potential!
hey friend can you please upload mesures of your custom bracket so i can do it to ? please? you can do it with a photo that describe the mesures and the parts you used it will help me alot thanks adam israel
+Haley I’m sorry!! It was incredibly simple to make so I hope you can figure something out for yourself because I’m going on my 10th month using it and it is still absolutely perfect 👌🏽
Franco Porto I haven't seen the M6 in person but I have watched a few reviews and I have to admit I am incredibly disappointed in the screen flipping up! I don't understand how that is the better choice!?! What do you think??
+Dave Altizer that's a good point. But it may take some of the grace space away when you are using a shotgun mic and end up aiming a little away from yourself. Thoughts?
Im with you on all of this. Actually now I am thinking of getting the M5 with the EF lens adapter and using EF glass. The tripod foot on the adapter will give enough space for the screen of the M5 to go down and the mic will be positioned exactly in the middle. OR you could just get an 80d and call it a day haha.
*I like M cameras from Leica,* but M cameras from Canon? *No way* Go choose another name Canon, If another cam manufacturer use "L" name for it lenses, , *how does it make you feel?*
I think the names for cameras is already out of control they have way to many roman numerals and "Mark's" and confusing letter combinations to keep track of
This.Is. Me. No, Canon is the worst ever, Example *EOS 800D = Kiss X9i = Rebel T7i* all the same camera WTF LOL Ask any photographer, they hated Canon methodology in naming their cameras. For me, Its reflecting their Mess Up Corporate Culture.
except the screen will be flipping up right?! That is just as inconvenient because of my microphone, I still wouldn't be able to shoot facing forward :S
Might just be me but I think your levels between the music and your voice are jarring. Your vocals need to be higher and I think you music sounds a little high, almost like it is peaking. but you could reduce the music volume, and up your vocal and it would be great. I might be wrong and it might be me, but I think fixing those two things would be great. Your video is informative and really you did fix the issue and it's a great video, but I think it seems a little lacking just because of audio. People can accept bad video quality, but sound... not at all. I don't mean to be mean at all, I like this video. Pretty sick fix, I might get myself one of these cameras now.
Yeah I just listened again. The music blew out my eardrums and your voice wasn't high enough. I think you did a great job with the music in the background as you talked, but before you talked it was wayyyyy too loud
+Big Dan ASMR thanks man! I really appreciate the feedback, that is great advice. I will be exploring that with my videos from now on. I welcome any constructive feedback like yours! What editing program do you use?? I am using Premiere Pro CC and I usually start my lowering the music levels to -10.0dB and then play with it as I edit to (hopefully) find a good balance between the two. But I haven't really explored how to improve my audio quality. I am using the Rode Mic Pro with the high pass filter on and it set to +0 gain. And I also has set the camera recording input to 5 spaces from the left. Not sure what that exactly means though haha. Do you have any other suggestions on how to modify that setup for better audio?? Again thanks for the feedback!
Okay, I seen that you were filming from your phone. You might want to check out the saramonic smartrig+ That can be used to record microphones into your smartphone and it can be used to record into your dslr, making the audio better. You can use it to connect your rode to your smartphone and you'd have a way better setup. I haven't tried it (yet) but I will be picking it up soon. Anyways I hope some of this helps you.
I would be tempted except with the M6 the problem is even worse!! Flipping up completely ruins any possibility of front face vlogging, now the microphone will be in the way! I would have to make an adapter to now attach to the hot-shoe and move the mic out of the way... the problems still the same. Just make the screen flip out to the side and it will be perfect!
Romeo Mariano wow that looks incredibly useful! It is going on my wish list when I update my set up! Thanks for the comment and the heads up!
!!!
Romeo Mariano Thank you so much!
$16! Yay!

We tried a few options and found that it balances best on the tripod with this design so I went with it 🖖🏽

Nice Fix! Thank you for posting this!
Thanks for the feedback Tomahawk Permaculture! It has been over a month now and it is still going strong! Thanks for watching
It’s been a major point of contention for me as you can probably tell haha
Thanks for the feedback and input!!
I will definitely let you, and everyone, know if I get the chance to make a bunch and give away some :)
Thanks for your comment! I really hope I can get some made 🤞
How is the balance when you actually have the tripod standing on its on own like on a table for example?
+Kuya Jep Eats & Travels it’s good. You still have to be careful with how you set up the tripod but all it requires is putting 2 legs of the tripod under the majority of the camera (I hope that makes sense). And as long as I’ve been careful setting up the camera I have never had it fall
Im holding out for the next generation. Hopefully they will add a flip to the side screen and abit of a bigger battery. Also an evf built in. As someone that uses my camera (80d) pretty much only for photography I couldnt be without a viewfinder.
If they make the screen flip to the side it will be an almost perfect daily vlogging camera!
The intro was awesome man! great video.
+Spencer Stanley thanks so much Spencer! Feedback is always welcomed (and not only because it was nice ;)
Set the little button to the front right as the start/stop video button. Easy to find when vlogging.
Romeo Mariano I will be experimenting with that now. Thank you!
How to do that?
great video. does it stand okay offset like that?
*had your hands (type from my original comment)
Yeah.
Where can I get that zip up hoodie? Tried googling for kilimanjaro clothing (as the tag on the front says) but couldn't find it.
smahatma I bought the hoodie in Salzburg back in November. I don't remember the name of the store but it was just a sporting goods store in a mall close to where I was staying. I think that's the best piece of information I can give you about my hoodie haha
you could map the movie rec button to the M-Fn button.
Ooh really?! I have sold the M5 this summer. But how do you map buttons on the M5?
in the custom functions under other:)
You are a true genius ! I wish you 1 million subscribers in the coming year :)
Other than the screen that is
This is very CLEVER. I think i'm going to get the M5 :-D
Thank you so much!!! and definitely do it and make this adapter ;) I hope it works for you like it has for me! 😎
Keep up the good work!
Maybe we can start a trend and get the word out :)
And huge thank you for all the feedback and comments!
It's weird.
Oops...meant to say you CAN'T get them to all work the same way.
Make that video!! And I completely agree with you, it is a great camera but it could be even better (if not, PERFECT) with a few minor changes!
Great Vid - thanks for sharing, I've now created my own similar custom bracket for my M5!
Amazing! Thanks for letting me know! I hope it treats you as well as mine has treated me (160+ days of consistent use and no problems!)
Enjoy the bracket 👍
Genius fix
Thank you very much! It still is working great for me everyday! Let me know if you make your own :)
it is flipped down because it looks more natural to look down.
What do you think?
wow! you have amazing production value! you deserve so many more subscribers! I want to get into making vlogs/mini movies but that requires me to learn premier pro which I have no idea how to ;-;
You're a genius with that mount
+Mr Charlton thank you!! I’m still using it to this day 👌🏽
this is genius! Well done dude!
Man thanks Ben! It works incredibly well. Let me know if you try it out!!
Did u end the vlog? Is everything ok with u?
This adapter has changed the game for me :)
Good luck!!!
Sure, if you do! Im in China tho XD
Well, they always said I can connect with my Phone instead of flipping the screen. Or could you inbox me about how to make one😢🙏🏻
A truly Casey Neistat solution
I loved watching his stuff!! And his motto “customize everything” stuck with me!
Very cool, the only reason why I'm not buying this camera just yet. If you can find a way to mass produce that you have your first customer! lol
I second that and co-sign....
Diego Daily Vlog haha thank you! Now that I'm travelling I can't mass produce any adapters but I have been trying to convince my dad to make some! Maybe I can persuade him to make a few for you guys :P
I will BUY it def
I must buy it
Looks like i'll be waiting until March 30, 2017 to get the M6.
The screen flips up! BUT STILL NO 4K!!
Come on Canon, even my iPhone shoot in 4K!
thanks! selling some gear and current set up to get this set up!!!! can't wait!!!
great great great review.!! coolest i eva watch so far. subscribe done
Man thank you so much!!
The way the screen is flipping down is because it doesnt show ur eyes looking up, or to the side when seeing if everything u need is inframe
For people who do fxxking care about selfie, that's not a problem
Are you going to make them for sale??
I will be getting back to Canada soon and I'll be able to figure that out shortly. Stay tuned for more info ;)
It cannot flip to the side as then it could not flip up and down which are the main purposes without adding extra complexity. Remember the screen needs its wires.
Fair point. But why can't they use the screen they have on the G5 X, 70D, or any of those screen variations?
The screen flipping up is even worse than flipping down... and I think flipping down is a pretty outrageous choice as it is haha please please please Canon make this screen flip out to the side like the G5X, 70D, or any other screens that you have already developed that do so!
my friend please produce some adapters for us to solve this problem !
Slowly but (hopefully) surely I am working on getting my dad to make a few!
can you fix 4K please.
I wish! for now I am happy to shoot in 1080 (my computer wouldn't handle 4K very well haha)
Thank you! Great idea :D wish you could make one for me
+Dear Angel thank you! I will be flying back home in a week (I haven't been home since Dec.31!!) and I may be able to make a few extra ones to give away. *I also have a few ideas on how to improve it* I'll keep you posted if that pans out the way I've planned it 👍🏽 thanks for the comment!!
Thank you so much! Excited about your new idea 😇👍🏼
great video !! ty
+Betty tips y vlogs thank you very much! I hope it helps you out 😎☺️
you and pops gonna be selling these?
Thanks for the love!! I will be getting home soon and will hopefully be trying to make a bunch of these.... the interest has been great. I'll keep you posted. Stay tuned for further details ;)
This is dope
Why don't you sell that piece? You would make a lot of money
Cilla Latte thanks for the love and the sub 😎 I will continue asking and maybe we will be able to make a handful so people can use the camera to its full-er potential!
thanks i am buying the camera i need the piece lol
New SUBBIE thanks for this video
Ok when u selling wanna order one . Great idea.
I haven’t made any extras yet!! Maybe I’ll have to, it’s a perfect fix for an almost perfect camera!
lol the m6 STILL isnt perfect. they made the screen flip up and completely block the ability to have a shotgun mic in the shoe mount.
Genius!
hey friend can you please upload mesures of your custom bracket so i can do it to ? please?
you can do it with a photo that describe the mesures and the parts you used
it will help me alot
thanks
adam
israel
Здорово!, просто и эффективно!)
Annoyed that you gave a fix but I can’t go buy it 😭😭 please sell this idea to someone so they can make it!
+Haley I’m sorry!! It was incredibly simple to make so I hope you can figure something out for yourself because I’m going on my 10th month using it and it is still absolutely perfect 👌🏽
since you said "m6" did you see the M6???What a bummer that flipping up screen huh?
Franco Porto I haven't seen the M6 in person but I have watched a few reviews and I have to admit I am incredibly disappointed in the screen flipping up! I don't understand how that is the better choice!?! What do you think??
with the M6 you can mount it on a straight flash bracket. Really simple and easy and keeps the camera center weighted to the gorillapod.
OR you could just get an 80d and call it a day haha.
please please please get your dad to make me one of those pieces. Ill pay for it and shout you out. lol ill do anything.
*I like M cameras from Leica,*
but M cameras from Canon? *No way*
Go choose another name Canon,
If another cam manufacturer use "L" name for it lenses, , *how does it make you feel?*
I think the names for cameras is already out of control they have way to many roman numerals and "Mark's" and confusing letter combinations to keep track of
This.Is. Me.
No, Canon is the worst ever,
Example *EOS 800D = Kiss X9i = Rebel T7i*
all the same camera WTF LOL
Ask any photographer,
they hated Canon methodology in naming their cameras.
For me, Its reflecting their Mess Up Corporate Culture.
Or just sell that and buy the new Canon M6 :)
except the screen will be flipping up right?! That is just as inconvenient because of my microphone, I still wouldn't be able to shoot facing forward :S
Im getting the M6 and using a straight flash bracket www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/743055-REG/Vello_CB_600_Straight_Flash_Bracket.html
Your audio could do better man. Not hating, just tryna help
Hey thanks for the feedback!! I'm always trying to improve my videos. What do you think is our of balance? Music levels or vocal levels??
Anyways I hope some of this helps you.
chuck that metal and buy m6 now. lol
