i'v had my '04 since '06. Stumbled onto your vid. Amazed at your knowledge of these bikes. I'm about to replace air filter and valve covers, aluminum is corroded. Great video
Gday mate you make it look so easy pulling the goldwing apart ,i am thinking of getting one shortly and i watch some other you tubers and wonder if i am up to doing some jobs with all the parts that have to be removed (especially the air filter ) that was bad corrosion on the headers i dont know why someone would pay so much and treat a bike like that anyway great video .
Damn. I just bought a 2010 goldwing with 75k miles on it. Rode it about 50 miles back to my house. Everything seems to be working good but do you have any suggestions of stuff I should definitely check for? Also how many hours did you have in this video?
The engine must come out to repair the alternator bearing. I could also smell that this one was burning oil. I had a lower mileage engine sitting in my shop...
@@HoosierBikeButcher I've seen many people and videos on here of people taking out the alternator without pulling the engine out. It was completely removed in about a half hour or less on '01-17
@seatime674 yes, but the bearing in question is not inside the alternator. It is inside the engine and the rear of the engine must come off to access it...
@seatime674 sorry. I definitely meant to type "alternator bearing." I should proof read more before I publish replies. I've edited my reply. Cheers and safe riding.
I think you’re very brave to be removing all of those nuts and bolts so close to an uncovered drain! 😆. Great video!
A very most excellent video .

Even though it was abused why the engine replacement was it that damaged to have to do that?

@@HoosierBikeButcher Oh yes in that case that's true but you just said alternator you didn't mention the bearing. Nonetheless good job
