Thanks for the videos on this matter. Knowing I will never embark on this adventure, I applaud you, your patients, skills, and explanations. You are very much appreciated.
I've got the '08 and going to take all the Plastics off and have it repainted is that rear trunk you left on a huge deal To remove?🎭 @@HoosierBikeButcher
Cell phone video of project beforehand, solved the last unknown connector after engine swap. It had never been used in last motor either, was an accessory wite 😂
Hey there, thanks for the great series. I would never have considered doing something like this but i am seriously thinking about trying to swap out my 2001 GL1800 good motor/bad frame with a 2003 with the reverse issue. Can i ask at 10:40 in this video you back out a (metric) hex using a "spud" - before that you seem to turn a locking nut maybe 90 or 180 degrees is that right? many thanks
I wish I could tell you. I did a bunch of work in addition to changing the engine. Everything takes twice as long when you are trying to film. I also kept getting pulled away from the project for personal issues. I can usually swap any car engine in a weekend. I think the goldwing takes 2-3 times as long for me personally...
That was so much valuable information. Thanks very much! Well done. I'm looking forward to watching the replacement go in.
👍👍👍
I applaud your skill and tenacity. Can't wait to see the new engine go in
Thank you! Videos 3 and 4 are up now.
I like good job

Did you take the engine out of the bike, or the bike off the engine?

Yes. It is a jam nut that locks the bolt from turning. Just have to break it loose. 180 degrees or a full turn or whatever. Doesn't really matter
thank you Sir!
I could never do this
What was total time removing engine? Thanks for the video
