  • Today we take a look on how to quickly set all the settings in a new face-lifted version of the Macan! We don't touch much on operation in this video, instead focus on setting up the car, just in-case the dealer wasn't able to for you! These video goes through my exact processes for setting up a Macan as if I was delivering one to a customer! Comment any questions that you may have!

    You are definitely on a roll.....another clear, informative video. There is no way I would have figured out your trick for easily coding the second key. Thank you!!

    Excellent walk thru video! Your pace, voice and descriptions are excellent. I'm driving a loaner 2023 Macan and it didn't come with a paper owners manual nor was the digital manual downloaded to the PCM. Your two Macan videos really helped me learn all I need to know to drive the Macan. I wish that Porsche had their owners manual available to download as a PDF file like Volvos do! Thank you again! Subscribed! Cheers!

      They do offer the manuals in an online format, but its seemingly only for owners. They used to have an app called the Porsche good to know app which had them as well

    Great video...I got my 2024 Macan S about a week ago. I had no idea there was so much. I have an appointment with the dealer to go through stuff. Porsches are amazing vehicles.

    What if two drivers are using the same key? Is it possible to memorize and select manually (like a BMW)or o Lu by the key?

  • @genedediosful
    @genedediosful 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Your video is so informative and very thorough! You're quite the mentor! I was able to configure and save ALL settings between two drivers and save each on different remotes.
    When would you use settings 1 or 2? Do those two memory buttons save every configuration setting like temperature and display?
    If I unlock and start the Macan with remote 1, can the 2nd driver press setting 2 on the door panel to reconfigure the seating and mirrors at least? For example, my wife doesn't bring her key, but uses my key instead and doesn't want to hassle and reconfigure the seats and mirrors for her driving settings. It would be cool if she could just select button 2 on door. That's assuming she already set number 2 to her positions.

      Question 1: I only use 1 and 2 as backups, in case you have to use the "other" key that you normally don't use.
      Question 2: No, it's simply seats, mirrors, and if equipped the steering wheel.
      Question 3: Yes, 1 and 2 aren't locked in to the key, that's why I use them as backups, they will ALWAYS be the same, no matter what key you use.

    Thanks a lot. Well done and easy to understand. However, do I have to turn on the engine in order to set-up the functions? Thanks

    • @theporschepro1065
      @theporschepro1065  ปีที่แล้ว

      You technically don't but depending how long you take, doing this whole process while in accessory mode could probably take up a lot of your battery.

    Is entry and drive default on a 2024 macan? Talking about the ICE not the electric. The vehicle is new and preconfigured and I have to pick it up in a few days. Entry and drive is something that I didn’t check, I thought it will be included by default, I mean it’s 2024.

    • @theporschepro1065
      @theporschepro1065  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I always say, NEVER assume something is standard on any car. However in this case it's ok to. Porsche entry and drive is standard in the US market.

      @Bill Oxford, congrats on getting your new Macan. I thought @The Porsche Pro camera work was fine for the purpose of the video especially doing it by himself with one hand.
      I'm also in video production but I've learned over my many years that life is super busy and for some videos it's more important to get it done quickly and easily and post the information rather than have a professional camera crew and spend many hours on editing just for a simple how to video that's passing along helpful info.
      For my DIY videos I've made on my TH-cam channel sometimes I use a professional video camera and edit for hours and sometimes I just grab my cell phone as it really depends on the purpose of the video and how much free time I have.
      Also, I used both his videos to set up my 2023 loaner Macan that didn't come with a paper or digital users manual so I'm thankful that he made the two helpful videos. Cheers!
