It is amazing. Just got mine and it is exactly as described. Love it. My question is, should i keep it plugged in? it works even when the car is off. Not sure if it drains the battery if kept plugged in?
In most Porsches, the cigarette lighter port will power down after 15 minutes or so. But even if it doesn't the MagSafe charger is not pulling any power when there is not phone charging on it.

I wanted to check back in. I ordered one (black MagSafe) and use it. I tested it with launch control and some other exciting moments, and it is as stated super solid. I have not dislodged my phone yet from driving. With the phone in landscape, you can fit 44oz Yetis in both cup holders. With a carlinkit 4.0 you do not have to use wires for CarPlay. I recommend this product, for whatever the recommendation is worth.

no, cup holders are not usable. yes, you can rotate the phone, but then you risk to hit and detach phone with your right elbow, especially when driving. I do not use cups in car, so fine with me.

How good is that holder? Will it keep a phone in place during a hard start (say, launch control)?
Absolutely. Have you used MagSafe-it is super solid. Our Raptor version can handle off road without the phone coming off.

My Macan doesn’t have the cigarette lid, will it still fit snuggly? Can you buy without the charging cord?
