He also spoke very affectionately and emotionally on a number of video interviews reflecting on what he himself refer to as "my friend" when talking about Elvis. I find it silly to try to downplay a friendship between two people. At the end of the day, bottomline, even though they were not extremely close and didn't talk all the time throughout the years, they both respected each other and considered each other friends.

I remember the nice brown suit he was wearing with Goochie shoes. I was young at the time now I'm 75. Buck Owens was also pretty big at that time.

Cash was not jealous of Elvis. Both had very different personalities. Both sang wonderful gospel songs and were an inspiration to many. But like all men, they had their faults. Elvis loved the women. Cash had a hard time with the drugs. I don't think you could say either was "better" in that respect.
