Yeah, she's actually running pretty good, just a little short of power I'm afraid.. I've had about 4 different AT2/3s and I can't remember for sure but I think I only replaced the rings in this one. I should have probably had it bored out.
I looked at that long lane and have to wonder how many times have You been snowed in there?? I bet the drifts get pretty deep sometimes. I think a little hotter plug might help along with making sure that the Oiler is not over oiling! set your main jet a little leaner and ride it like You stole it and clear it out a bit. Have a great day!
We do get snowed in once in a while. The trick is to plow it out several times while it's still snowing. Thanks William. I hope to get on it soon but got a couple other projects to get done.
Haven't had a chance to check it out yet. I'll start with the basics . Spark plug, compression, carb jets and timing and see if anything looks out of normal. I'm suspecting that I should have had it bored out rather than just changing the rings.
@@oldguysoldbikes I know a guy that can bore it out for you LOL. He has my 71 Honda cb175 boring it or going to. He did a great job on that one of yours.
Great little Bike and a lovely sunny ride out. I have a 1975 DT 125 myself, It's a US Bike (Wyoming originally) imported into the UK. Performance looks similar to yours. Fast enough for me !
Thanks for the ride Jack! I’ve always wanted to explore the old army depot area.
I used to make that ride on my bicycle 2 or 3 times a week up until about 3 or 4 years ago. 14 miles round trip.
glad you made it home Jack, great little ride.

Great ride out Jack. Lovely weather for it.
It was a nice break. When I get the DT250A going I'll show everybody how beautiful it really is around here.

shocks on the AT-! are probably okay, but the old body shocks are shot! LOL
It's just such a light bike that bumps really affect it.
@@oldguysoldbikesWhat's the spring preload set to?
@@bananabrooks3836 All the way off. Possibly I was spoiled by my BMW K1200. lol
A good ride. What did you find wrong?

Thanks Mick. Yup, I’m definitely not a speed demon anymore either.
Plug chop, air filter, exhaust decoke? It should pull top gear to just below redline if gearing is stock.
No gloves!!
I’ll check all that out. Thanks Banana
