Not many I find that love "6 Days 7 Nights", "Leave It To Beaver", Shirley Temple Movies 😍 I guess we can safely say that includes those other classics like Andy Griffith, Mary Tyler Moore Show, Lawrence Welk, Matlock, Hogan's Heroes, Petticoat Junction etc....to name a few. Those were such happy innocent times. Can't get enough of watching your videos.....absolutely beautiful work and the love and care put in it makes it even more treasured. Thank You for sharing 💗

    Wow! That Padauk sounds fantastic.
One of my favorite movie lines comes from a very, minor mediocre movie called, The Breakup.
Vince Vaughn: "Ok ok, look I'm doing the dishes!
Jennifer Anniston: "I don't want you just to do the dishes, I want you to WANT to do the dishes."
Vince Vaughn: " . . . who, in their right mind WANTS to do the dishes?!"

I have watching you for a few years now, its been like taking an advanced masterclass in the subject. Though I am a life long woodworker, I have been highly reluctant to restore my great grandfathers 1870s guitar that has completely fallen apart. I am ready now. Given the knowledge you have shared, I am now beginning the process of making and buying the many unique special tools I will need. By next summer, I should have everything ready... You may never know the gratitude I have for your making these videos. Just please know that the effort you take is deeply, deeply appreciated.

To remove glue: use a plastic drinkingstraw, cut off the top in 45 angle. Thus you can reach in between the clamps, using the right hand to push the straw and the left hand to keep it pushing against the side between the clamps. With this you can easily clean up without spreading the glue and without wetting the board (if glue is still soft enough).

Acetone draws water out (azeotrope) and probably arches it a hair due to shrinkage. It was also make the wood a bit hungrier for moisture in the PVA glue.obviously removing the stains trans oxide pigments and oil that are in the wood pores is probably the dominant means. I think the technique reflects more chemistry knowledge than you realize - experience is a great teacher.

That is a really slick way to splice those accent stripes. I liked the place in the movie where Anne Heche is in the plane and pulls the inflation string on the inflating life raft. It traps her in the plane with cheek against the window. Harrison, outside the plane, says something cute and she gets mad........Kind of a Lucille Ball moment.

Sounds great, Jerry! Nice to watch a master work. Often people would ask the master woodworker, "Do you mind if I watch while you work? And the answer is always, "No problem!" I'm sure you'll agree that you never mind being watched when you know what you're doing!

When you make the inlay-strip, instead of making 2 and gluing them together, you could make only one twice the sice, splitting it in the mittle, with the saw. Then folding the two peacec together, and yoy would have a perfect match!
